A memory from 5 years ago popped up with these words that resonated with me, and (being one to appreciate sharing words of inspiration) I went to check who wrote the words, and realized they were my own- hah! (Ok! Why thank you past self!) I admit it, I occasionally roll my eyes when people create pictures of themselves with inspirational quotes from other people...but I couldn’t help myself since these words are my own. 🤓 (And we’ll all have a good laugh at my expense if/when I start creating other images with other people’s words...who knows, it could happen, hahaha...) This is very deep for me to talk about. In honor of my past, I’d like to share this story with you all. If you get to read this all the way through, I want to thank you for getting to know me better. It’s been 3 long years of inner healing & discipline. 3 years ago, I trusted myself with this picture in remembrance, I got off my medication prescribed for my anxiety/ depression. Nobody told me to or know I was planning to do it. I did it for myself. It was killing me inside. I know my body would attack me from stopping it. I had major withdrawals for 2 1/2 years causing me to lose some of my memory, lose of focus- I was working two part time jobs and going to school full time. Muscle loss, I couldn’t barely carry anything as a server lifting my food tray was very difficult for my back. I injured my lower back from it. Hair loss and weight loss. I had horrible dreams and pain that ran through my body day by day. I was crying constantly and was unstable with my emotions. I almost dropped out of college. I became super sensitive to everything around me. I couldn’t eat anything. My stomach was destroyed. I had to go to the urgent care 8 time between 2017-2018. 7 years ago I was put on Lithium a drug so powerful it caused me to have mood swings, smell blood, toxic waste, burning metal, deaths and caused extreme hallucination. My brain cells weren’t having it any more. I had to get a Cat Scan and some test done. It was horrifying for me, I was only in middle school when I started it and I was 19 when I got off it. I am 22 now. I can’t tell you how much I had to go through. This message doesn’t even do its justice with my own reality. But today, I wanted to share this because it’s my 3 years of Freedom. I’m also huge on mental awareness and this is why. I overcame the “Unthinkable”. You can overcome anything when you have the Will Power to change your life, like I did. I have succeed way more than I ever did. I am more at peace with myself and my soul. I am a way different person from trusting myself in all of this. Your energy doesn’t lie. ⁣ ⁣ There’s six years between these photos. The first one is a headshot for corporate Holz 6 years ago. I was 25. I’d hit what I now deem the “quarter life crisis”. I knew I wanted something more from my life but had NO idea how that looked, so instead I accepted dissatisfaction. I ignored intuitive niggles because I couldn’t see the what lay ahead of me. It was easier to continue trudging along unhappily than dare to dream that something better could possibly lie ahead. ⁣ ⁣ Now don’t get me wrong - I have a lot of love for corporate Holz, she really was doing her best. She worked really hard...to the point of depletion. She tried to be the best friend and employee and girlfriend and daughter - all to her own detriment. She was the “good girl” - putting everyone else first because it’s what she always did. ⁣ ⁣ But still, the energy doesn’t lie, does it?⁣ ⁣ The second photo is after 6 incredibly transformative years. THIS is why I am so passionate about personal development and soul work. There’s an undeniable aliveness in my eyes. The glow of a woman who is owning her light - not waiting in the wings for somebody else to give her permission to shine, to embody her true essence - to sparkle. She’s still the good girl - at times - but she’s also the wild woman, the sensual embodied feminine, the crone.⁣ ⁣ Your energy doesn’t lie.⁣ ⁣ Right now I believe more than ever the entire collective is being called to nourish our souls.
