since i flow with the food gods + rarely measure when baking, i don’t write recipes. but since some of you have asked (thanks btw) warning: may not be perfect. here’s my recipe for “just whipped up some pancakes, pancakes” serves one. if you’re blessed with company during isolation, double the mix. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ DRY 1/2 cup desired gf flour mix (mine is a blend of buckwheat + quinoa + brown rice flour) 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla bean powder 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1 tablespoon torn fresh sage ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ WET (whisked together) 1/4 cup coconut milk 1/2 large mashed banana 1 pasture raised farm-fresh egg OR a flax egg 2-3 tablespoons maple syrup 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar *optional 1/4 cup berries, cacao nibs, or refined sugar free + dairy free dark choc chips *coconut oil for cooking ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ sift your flours, add spices, + add as much of the wet mix to the dry that’s needed so your batter is runny enough but still globby (that’s a word). feel free to add more coconut milk or banana if it’s too globby. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ heat pan to low/medium heat add coconut oil + wait for it to lightly sizzle. dollop batter in circles + wait for bubbles to form + pop. now flip. (approx 2 - 3 mins in each side). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ serve with anything in your quarantine kitchen; sprouted seeds, maple, honey, cold pressed oils, nuts, probiotic coconut yoghurt.. I posted this when I first started my page but with so many new followers I thought I’d share it again. This is how I layer my breakfast kongs. Having that layer of kibble at the bottom stops me having to dig out old stick wet food from the deepest darkest depths of the Kong as once the other layers are gone it should slowly tumble out, the wet food is the “main show” and is the section that takes my pup the longest and then the tasty toppings, my favourite bit! Some process pics of making the berry bowls. The holes present a problem when it comes to glazing. Usually, I will glaze the inside and outside separately. But the holes make using two separate glazes tricky because the bowl won’t hold the glaze. I’ve been dragged away from my studio and out to the beach. It’s for my own good, I’m told. I know that life is all about balance, but it can be hard to switch off when there are orders to complete, and the work space is right there at home. I have to remind myself that the clay will always be there, unchanging until I pick it up, whereas my daughter will only be 8 for a short time, and every single Saturday is precious. Further to the email I’ve recently sent out to all TERM 3 Students about (hoping) to be able to open at the end of Nov and pushing wheel classes to January - if we continue to see case numbers falling and we achieve the 14 day average it appears I’ll be able to re-open the studio and resume teaching classes ( with a max of 10) from 26 October, in around 5 weeks time! 🤞 What will this mean? I will start TERM 3 wheel classes at the end of October rather than January. I still need to work out how this will work but I’ll be emailing all enrolled students again over the coming week. I’m really happy about this but, know this can change so very quickly. Let’s keep doing the right thing and get these numbers down. Can’t wait to have the studio back open and see you all. . Final round for Patron Perfectionist. The inspiration behind my vessel I found in Patrón, the bees and Latin America culture to create a unique design that tells a beautiful story. A few months ago, I met an incredible man his name is Gavin Smith and he’s a beekeeper, he introduced me to the bees and, I felt in love with them. The story of Patron has also given me a lot inspiration. To create my final design, I have carefully chosen the best colours to represent the brand and the story behind Patron and my vessel. - On my glass there is 6 leaves, it represents the years when agaves are mature enough to be harvested. - The shape reminds me the cup that Latin American use to drink Yerba Maté, but also of a beehive and the heart of the agave. After 6 years there is a stalk that shoots up from the agave, this is call Quiote. After the Quiote has been removed the agave can focus all of its energy to become a beautiful piña, which has also given inspiration to the shape. - The medallion with the Patrón bee and the honeycomb is to obviously signify the brand but also the attraction that bees have for the Weber blue Agave. When they found the distillery there were heaps of bees buzzing around the agave fields which is a sign of strong pollination. MATCHA ICECREAM // #balabotya_рецепты ⠀ В этом году я начала делать домашнее мороженое. У нас тут ближайший магазин за 7км, а ближайший нормальный за 25км + маленькая морозилка. Поэтому стратегический запас хранить трудно, а вот стряпать по необходимости очень даже можно ;) С классическим вариантом на молоке и яйцах много возни, поэтому я замораживаю простые варианты, которые или вообще не надо мешать, или перемешать 2-3 раза. Например, это зелёное мороженое сделано из сливок 33% и греческого йогурта :) ⠀ Ингредиенты: ▫️250мл сливок 33%; ▫️50гр сахарной пудры (или по вкусу); ▫️2ст.л. чая матча (у меня @matchabotanicals); ▫️140гр греческого йогурта (1 стаканчик); ▫️3-4 печенья; ▫️дольки лайма. ⠀ Что надо делать: 1. Холодные сливки взбиваем с сахарной пудрой до устойчивых пиков. 2. Добавляем греческий йогурт и через ситечко просеиваем сверху матча, чтобы не было комочков. Взбиваем до однородности. 3. Печенье крошим в форму для замораживания, выкладываем туда мороженое и перемешиваем. 4. Убиваем форму в герметичный пакет и ставим в морозилку. Перемешиваем 2-3 раза раз в час. 5. JAY ROBB DARK CHOCOLATE CHIP PROTEIN ICE CREAM! This ice cream has a dairy free option! INGREDIENTS: 2 cups of almond milk (dairy free) or 2% milk 1/2 Scoop Jay Robb Chocolate Protein (egg white or whey) 2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (pure dark chocolate) Pinch of sea salt DIRECTIONS: -Blend all ingredients together -Place in ziplock bag or container and freeze (Let freeze overnight) -When frozen break apart into chunks -Blend all together again in blender -Put back in freezer (in a closable container) for 45 minutes -It’s ready to scoop (if it is super frozen just let it sit out until it softens) **For the best ice cream texture result, put the ice cream in a blender and blend & mash until it has a smooth consistency every time you take it out of the freezer!** #jayrobb #jayrobbprotein #dairyfreeicecream #icecream - @jayrobbprotein on Instagram

Had to share this magical series @fakattack posted yesterday (that he beautifully filmed!!!), where I am making my meringue pie crust. I had made a few meringue crusts before with mixed results, until I read the technique @realbakingwithrose used in her new book #rosesicecreambliss - she prepares the pie plate with cornstarch, which makes the crust bake better and makes it easier to unmold/get slices out! In her lovely book, Rose fills this crust with lemon ice cream and calls it an Upsidedown Lemon Meringue Pie, which I adore! BUTTER CREAM By @malichatun88 Bahan : 200 gr Mentega putih 40 gr Margarin/unsalted butter 80-100 gr Gula Cair/Simple syrup, aku pakai merek rosebrand, ada juga merek tropicana slim, marjan, 1 lagi merek korea paling mahal (sesuaikan selera manisnya) 80-100 gr SKM aku pakai cap enak, kalau mau cap bendera pilih yg standar warna biru kalengnya, kadar manisnya beda² tiap skm 1/4 sdt vanila cair Cara Membuat : 1. Kocok mentega, margarin, dg kecepatan tinggi sampai putih lembut 2. Masukkan simple syrup, skm, vanila, mixer dg kecepatan tinggi sampai mengembang, ringan, lembut dicobain ga lengket ke mulut 3.
