As with all know, business are closing to prevent the spread of COVID 19. At first I was annoyed because “it only kills 2% of old people who catch it and I need money” I’m very aware of the fact that I’m 10lbs of trash in a 5lb bag, but hey....we’ve all got to eat. Yesterday I walked the near empty city streets after work and grew uneasy, too few people and law enforcement posted on every block looking extra vigilant...I even saw a guardian angel in head to toe red for the first time in years and it hit me, this is more than just inconvenient for me....this could be the start of something truly scary. Also it hit me, my mother (whom I still live with because again, big bag of trash as a human being) is in her mid 70’s, 105lbs and smokes. Just because I’ll survive if I catch it doesn’t mean anything if I lose her. Fellow barber is closed until further notice and I’m not comfortable doing housecalls because I don’t know what I’ll be bringing home with me. In An Instant! As Reggie and Ben (taking photo) made their way through the streets of Ben’s parallel world, Reggie found himself humming a little song. he’d heard it playing in the coffee shop where a group of philosopher/artists had been excitedly discussing the idea of -the connection between will to live and purpose of life. Pretty interesting conversation - at least Ben and Reggie thought so. Anyway, Reggie wasn’t aware he was humming song, heard earlier at coffee shop, until everyone stopped talking. Reggie looked around and quickly figured out what had happened. A group of what looked to be very unhappy artists had turned the corner and were heading toward them ( in Ben’s parallel world most citizens posses both human and animal qualities). These particular artists were singing songs too, but Reggie could tell, by the words they were using- these were not the happiest group of people. If words have the same meaning here in Ben’s parallel world, as they do in Reggie’s world, then Reggie would say the words they were singing were meant to ridicule and insult others - different from them? In that one quick instance things started making sense- not that Reggie thinks it’s a good idea to jump to conclusions. But, Reggie has been wondering for awhile now why Ben’s world had fallen to darkness when just about everyone he has met so far seemed to posses the same mindset. Everyone seemed interested in working together to rebuild the parallel world. Then this happened. The people, who moments earlier, had lifted Reggie and Ben’s spirit with their ideas of purpose and community, now hung their heads down and seemed afraid to speak. We will leave it here for today - This was actually supposed to be posted yesterday (Monday) but Reggie’s huMom- arlettelynn- ran out of time to process story because of spending too much time on the phone! Los que me siguen por aquí, saben de mi curiosidad por la red de transporte suburbano de Barcelona. A ese respecto, me gustaria compartir con ustedes ahora una confesión. Cuando viajo en los Ferrocarrils de Catalunya no puedo evitar sentir, de vez en cuando, un cierto desasosiego de fondo al observar los nombres de algunas estaciones de la L6 y la L7. En mi criterio, están mal. Así, a bocajarro. Para empezar, yo creo que la estación de Muntaner debería pasar a ser la de Sant Gervasi, quedando entonces como estacion de enlace entre las de Sarria y Gracia, lo cual tiene toda la lógica geografica. A mi entender, los nombres de las estaciones deberian determinar barrios prioritariamente, no vias que desbordan el territorio. En segunda instancia, la actual estación de Sant Gervasi debería pasar a compartir el nombre de Plaza Molina, con la que ya comparte enlace. La circunstancia actual desorienta y no es razonable desde 2009. Por último, a mi parecer, la actual estación de Padua debería ser rebautizada como El Farró, cerrando así el ciclo de feliz recuperación de este topónimo y testimoniando, junto a la estación contigua, el barrio donde se situa, El Putxet - El Farró. En fin, son ya muchos años recorriendo arriba y abajo estas lineas, ustedes me disculparán. Abusando de su paciencia, ya puestos, otro dia les comento mi sugerencia de ampliación de estas dos lineas. Prometo no decepcionar a mis fieles con la propuesta. Al menos, ya cuentan con que mas incomprensible que el itinerario de la L9 no podrá ser. - @abrilascaso on Instagram

Een computer uit 1975 is niet meer te vergelijken met het apparaat zoals we het nu kennen. In het museum zie je veel oude computers, maar er wordt ook aan gesleuteld. Het HomeComputerMuseum begeleidt mensen met een autisme spectrum stoornis op deze manier naar een betaalde baan. Wait is over 🤗 , patna metro construction begin नीतीश सरकार ने पटना में प्रायोरिटी कॉरीडोर में तीन साल में मेट्रो दौड़ाने का लक्ष्य दिया है। हालांकि दोनों कॉरीडोर का काम पूरा करने की समयसीमा वर्ष 2024 है। प्रायोरिटी कॉरीडोर में दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल कारपोरेशन (डीएमआरसी) ने काम शुरू कर दिया है। तीन महीने में मिट्टी की जांच का काम पूरा कर लिया जाएगा। वहीं डीएमआरसी ने बदले हुए एलाइनमेंट के सर्वे का काम भी पूरा कर लिया है। जल्द निर्माण कार्य शुरू होगा। पटना मेट्रो के काम में तेजी आती दिख रही है। इसे लेकर नगर विकास सचिव सह पटना मेट्रो रेल कारपोरेशन के सीएमडी आनंद किशोर डीएमआरसी के अधिकारियों संग कई दौर की वार्ता कर चुके हैं। सबसे पहले दूसरे कॉरीडोर के प्रायोरिटी कॉरीडोर में काम शुरू किया जा रहा है। यह हिस्सा राजेंद्र नगर से मलाही पकड़ी होकर जीरोमाइल होते हुए न्यू आईएसबीटी तक है। करीब सात किलोमीटर लंबे इस हिस्से में काम तेजी से इसलिए भी हो सकता है, क्योंकि अधिकांशत: यहां मेट्रो एलीवेटेड (जमीन से ऊपर) ही गुजरेगी। भूमि अधिग्रहण की भी ज्यादा दिक्कत नहीं है, क्योंकि ज्यादातर सरकारी जमीन है। छठ के मौके पर मिट्टी की जांच का काम मलाही पकड़ी से आरंभ हो गया। यह काम डीएमआरसी ने राजस्थान की कंसल्टिंग इंजीनियर्स ग्रुप लिमिटेड को सौंपा गया है। कंपनी द्वारा अंडरग्राउंड वाले हिस्सों में जमीन के नीचे 40 फीट तक से मिट्टी के नमूने लेकर जांच की जा रही है। वहीं एलीवेटेड हिस्से में भी पिलर के लिए 25 से 30 मीटर नीचे से सेंपल लिए गए हैं। मिट्टी के नमूनों की जांच रिपोर्ट के आधार पर ही तय होगा कि मेट्रो के लिए पिलर कितनी गहराई पर बनेंगे। एलीवेटेड हिस्से में हर 100 मीटर और अंडरग्राउंड हिस्से में हर 200 मीटर के फासले पर मिट्टी के नमूने लिए जा रहे हैं। प्रायोरिटी कॉरीडोर में जांच के बाद दूसरे स्थानों पर मिट्टी की जांच का काम होगा। उधर, बदले हुए अलाइनमेंट की सर्वे रिपोर्ट को राज्य सरकार से हरी झंडी मिलते ही डीएमआरसी वहां काम शुरू कर देगा। #metro #patnametro #patna #bihar #bihari #newdelhi #delhimetro #development #construction #muzaffarpur #hajipur #gaya #bodhgaya #bhagalpur #railway #indianrailway #patnajunction #gandhimaidan #boringroad #ecoparkpatna #anisabad #danapur #kankarbagh #rajivnagar #boaringcanalroad #patnawomenscollege #magadhmahilacollege #amityuniversitypatna #nsit - @patnamera on Instagram

‘Two figures behind Glass’ Ipswich, QLD for @bsafest and @ipswichfestivals This work depicts two rail-workers behind beveled glass. The Artic glass pattern in the painting was common in middle-class Queensland homes in the 1960’s and was used in French doors and windows. Some of my earliest memories of Queensland Architecture was my fathers silhouette through the glass doors when he got home. The work explores the role of de-industrialization in urban communities and on the suburban fringes of Australia. The figures in the mural appear distant, disconnected, isolated and breaking up. As middle class homes become increasingly out of reach for working class Australians and lower-pay and job insecurity continues to shape how we work, this painting explores how nostalgia shapes political views and how workers view their communities and the outside world. The works specifically looks at two rail workers from the city of Ipswich. As Queensland was in lockdown, many people in management or admin roles were able to isolate, while many essential, transport, delivery and medical staff continued working. Keeping our economy functioning and food supply moving. This painting pays tribute to these essential workers while proposing a reassessment of how they are valued in the post COVID-19 world. - @fintan_magee on Instagram

II°tappa: 𝑆𝑒𝑑𝑢𝑡𝑒 𝑑𝐴𝑢𝑡𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑒 𝑀𝑢𝑟𝑜 𝑑𝑖 𝐵𝑎𝑗 In Piazza Garibaldi, vicino a Corso Matteotti, è stato realizzato il progetto Sedili in pietra dello scultore senese Mauro Berrettini, il quale ha coinvolto 16 tra i più importanti scultori italiani e stranieri di arte contemporanea. Così, in pochi metri, ci si può confrontare con l’arte e il genio di Joe Tilson, Cordelia von den Steinen, Girolamo Ciulla, Pietro Cascella, Nado Canuti, Giò Pomodoro, Jean Paul Philippe, Rinaldo Bigi, Marcello Aitiani, Mirella Forlivesi, Yasuda Kan, Viliano Tarabella, Daniel Couvreur, Venturino Venturi, Daniel Milhaud e Manuele Giannetti, che hanno trasformato la panca, oggetto passivo e inanimato in protagonista, con lo scopo di avvicinare la scultura alla gente, realizzando oggetti da usare.
