- Got this from my dad 2 years ago, just started working on it so I can ride. 1986 shadow vt500. I suspect it needs new coils. Replaced battery, wires, plugs. The coils are $90 each and not common. The 1986 shadow vt750 or 1100 coils are 40 a pair. Aside from mounting brackets why cant I use them?

Dax is coming up on his 6th birthday in a couple months and we still don’t have a diagnosis. Ryan and I recently had his IEP meeting to discuss re-evaluation, assessments, and where we were at with diagnosis. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The school psychologist listened as I fumbled my way through Dax’s history from infant to today. Going over the list of symptoms and the list of tests and doctors. A tangled mess of a roadmap that seems like it leads nowhere. I held it together without a tear even though I crumble inside anytime I talk about it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Then the psychologist said, “it’s complicated when you are dealing with low muscle tone in relation to the mitochondria and genetics. It takes time.” He was so understanding and the rest of the IEP meeting went smoothly and with genuine care and concern for Dax’s future.
