#ChulaVista Fire Station 10, built to serve the areas of Millenia and Otay Ranch, has been a great addition to the neighborhood. Using Development Impact fees, the station consists of 13,435 sq. ft. with three bays. The two-story station includes a pole and high speed roll-up doors for improved turnout times and overall response times, and a traffic light controlled intersection for safe and swift exit when responding to calls. Having Station 10 open has helped the Chula Vista Fire Department meet response times in the Millenia and surrounding areas. I simply love to use passata, but I also really like to make them out of silken tofu/pressed tofu. If you use pressed tofu, the consistency is a bit thicker. I’ve only found it as the Asia store so far though. The consistency is somewhere between silken tofu and regular tofu. When I use pressed tofu, I also add water because it would be too salty for my taste if I just used tamari. É engraçado quando a gente para pra analisar a nossa vida e o que fazemos dela. Iniciei esse ano com uma mistura de sentimentos e novos planos. Quem me acompanha sabe que iniciei a minha caminhada empreendedora cedo e com um sentimento muito forte dentro de mim: mudar e fomentar o comércio na nossa região. Desde 2013 pra cá, já são quase 7 anos nessa estrada que, as vezes, é tortuosa, porém sempre cheia de descobertas e muito revigorante. O Grão nasceu... foram dias de muita luta, pouco sono. Abri mão de muitas coisas. Sabe quando a gente tem um filho e precisa se dedicar 100% a ele? Foi assim! E então ele foi crescendo, dia após dia, andando com suas próprias pernas e eu tive o apoio de pessoas incríveis nessa jornada, me assessorando, auxiliando e ajudando. Juntos, vimos que o Grão germinou e deu frutos, saindo de uma marca-mãe e criando suas ramificações – Grão Delivery/ Grão Panificação & Confeitaria / Grão Congelados / Grão Quiosques / Mercado do Grão. Após 8 meses de cuidados diários, oficialmente deixo o filho mais novo – Mercado do Grão - seguir seus próprios caminhos. Afinal, empreender é isso. É pensar, agir, fazer e saber a hora de deixar ir. Eu, aqui do outro lado, desejo todo sucesso do mundo a ele. Quanto à família Grão, vamos seguindo fortes, cheios de planos e voando ainda mais alto. Conquistamos essa cidade calorosa, de povo amigável e coração gigante e queremos conquistar o Brasil. Nos sentimos prontos para, mais uma vez, dar a nossa cara a tapa e nos jogarmos de cabeça nessa aventura que se chama EMPREENDER. Neurofibromatosis (NF) can cause tumours to grow on any nerve cell throughout the body. It affects 1 in every 2500 people and a child with NF is born every 3 days in Australia. Cabra-Vale Diggers recently donated $6251 to the Children’s Tumour Foundation for their Health Management Kits Project. The project aims to provide Health Management Kits to individuals and families in the Fairfield area who are impacted by Neurofibromatosis (NF). The Kits are packed with information and are designed to empower families with knowledge, so they feel more able to navigate complicated health systems along with information about navigating the emotional impacts of a diagnosis of NF. They also provide practical tips for talking with your child and tools for educational professionals. Good morning #CAEE! Last week our Foundation Engineering class visited a site on Lake Austin where they are building the foundation for a new building. In the first photo you can see the steel piles sticking up and a hammer driving one of then down to the bedrock. Once all the piles are driven to bedrock, they will put beams across the piles and then build the structure up from there. Our favorite way to give back to our KO-mmunity! This week we visited Mercy Gilbert Center to donate 66 meals and nine Banner Health Urgent Care locations where we donated 37 meals to our hardworking healthcare heroes! Thanks to all 418 people who attended the drive-thru #COVID19 testing today at St. Clair College. Impressively, virtually every driver and passenger came wearing masks and were very supportive and appreciative of our WRH team. This meant a lot to the team and made the heat tolerable! The 418 who attended the drive thru testing blitz today, combined with the 240 tested today at our Ouellette Campus assessment centre, made today a new one-day record for testing by WRH staff with a total of 658 tests. Drive-thru #COVID19 testing continues tomorrow outside the @StClairCollege Sportsplex from 9 am to 4 pm. The Ouellette Campus COVID-19 Assessment Centre will also be open for its regular weekday hours, 8 am to 7 pm. Today, I had the chance to visit the Design Competition Exhibition at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia. This exhibit runs until late October and features 3D models, renderings and detailed submissions by three shortlisted design teams. La Seremía de Salud de la Región de Aysén aclaró este lunes la situación que enfrenta el Hospital de Coyhaique tras la confirmación de 25 casos positivos de coronavirus entre sus funcionarios.
