Throwback 😂💕🌸 Two years ago, I was in the final days of nesting and prepping my home-birth space! I was at the point where I didn’t think I’d ever go into labor, cranky and exhausted. SURPRISE I did indeed go into labor 3 days later. Marcus and I were taking walks every night with Mattie before her bedtime. We went team green and had no idea the sex of the baby. Fun fact I had the names picked out pretty early on but hadn’t shared them with Marcus yet in case he didn’t like them because I loved them 😂🤣 , So Marcus spent the final days of my pregnancy on baby sites searching for a boy/girl name. I vetoed all his ideas, and then the day before I went into labor, I texted him while he was at work “ Boy= Johnny Marvel + my girl option (which I’m not spilling 😂). He responded with YES DONE. That was easy!! Also keeping the name choices a secret from my mom was probably the HARDEST thing ever. I legit tell her everything 😂🤣 - @wearingmomjeans on Instagram

Fun fact, before running MAME, I used to work in construction! Super obvious, right?⠀ It is a fascinating industry and I loved my time working in it BUT one of the tough things to observe was how people never wanted to show their insecurities in that environment. There was no space for any vulnerability, perceived or real. Things could get quite heated at times, lots of pent up emotion can bring that out in a workplace! With my pre-existing love for fragrances I really wanted to explore how fragrance could help bring calm to a given moment in time. What kind of difference could a calming, natural aroma bring into a potentially fraught context? Curious, hey?! (3) Раф Симонс, должна сказать, просто супер классный человек, сидел на кастинге вместе с нами часов 10 сам, и мы слушали одну и ту же песню The XX, потому что это было его вдохновением. так вот, не занимаюсь я этим уже давно, а если занимаюсь, - то по приглашениям каких-то очень классных людей (@venabrykalin , @soniaborushko, @olaazh - спасибо!) вчера был показ @frolovheart и было очень круто, что был разнообразный кастинг. (4,5) я не модельных параметров, и мне кажется, что Украине пора брать пример с показов классных брендов, как @alexandermcqueen , @jacquemus @maisonmargiela и выпускать на подиум людей разных телосложений, рас, роста и т.д. к этому все идёт, и я верю, что все будет круто. мне очень нравится, например, наблюдать за @jilla.tequila (6,7), которая делает классные показы, обложки vogue, кампейны, etc. главное, чтобы все были здоровы, а красота людей, разных людей, мне кажется, и приносит вдохновение дизайнерам. вот, собственно, все, что хотелось бы пока сказать. ❤️ - @alexkirtoka on Instagram

Leaning into the Unknown- Artist Spotlight-The Moving Architects: Choreographer Erin Carlisle Norton’s work “Jubilee & Knell” pulls from the two memory states jubilee (happiness) and knell (sorrow) taken from the poet Emily Dickinson. Exploring how these two memory states can be experienced simultaneously, Norton explores the exaggerated realities of the pandemic including isolation, social distancing, perceptions of time, connection, and forced self-reflection. Audience members will view performers dancing inside and outside giant milky blurred bubbles in moments of extreme physical exertion side-by-side with moments of intimacy and fragility, the bubbles visually representing how memory is accessed and experienced. A work truly of our time, Jubilee & Knell has been created almost entirely in the virtual space.
