Prvi dan ljubljanskega tedna mode smo otvorili v ljubljanskem podhodu Ajdovščina, ki smo ga v ta namen spremenili v urbano izložbeno okno, kjer si mimoidoči lahko ogledajo kolekcije slovenskih oblikovalcev. Svoje kreacije sta včeraj prvi predstavili oblikovalki Petja Zorec in Kaja Julia Hrovat v sodelovanju z Mino Fino. Zaključili pa smo v konceptualni trgovinici Sans Concept, kjer je včeraj potekalo gverilsko tiskanje etično izdelanih majic iz etično pridelanih materialov. 18 mois de travail, un toit arraché par une tempête, des fuites qui ont transformé le lieu en piscine, les grèves, le confinement, et puis....hier. Hier, nous avons ouvert un lieu test chez @darwin.camp. Haut lieu de lactivisme écologique et social, Darwin regroupe un millier de personnes sur la rive droite de Bordeaux. Une ancienne caserne militaire du 19ème siècle emplie de projets fous, de gens souriants, dune énergie que jai rarement senti ailleurs. Cétait lendroit où nous pouvions ouvrir un lieu bizarre, un lieu de 300 mètres carré dans lequel nous pourrions vendre nos prototypes, même ceux jamais lancés. Un lieu oû nous pourrions réparer les Veja et les baskets en général, un lieu où nous pourrions les collecter pour ensuite les recycler et sattaquer à la montagne quest la fin de vie des baskets et leur recyclage. Il nous fallait pour cela un endroit. Ce ne fut possible que grâce à un grand monsieur qui sappelle @philippebarre, un type qui a la folie des visionnaires, et la générosité des grands hommes. Un type qui nous fait confiance depuis les premières discussions. Nous sommes super heureux douvrir ce lieu aujourdhui, car nous savons que cest un nouveau chapitre. Celui de pouvoir réparer et recycler les Veja. Merci Philippe, merci Jean Benoit, merci @jeanmarcgancille de mavoir alpagué en 2012, merci Laurent de @lebureaubaroque de nous avoir supporté pendant tout le temps architectural. Hi there! We want to re-introduce ourselves and tell you a little bit about us. In 2014 we opened Hudson Table in Hoboken, NJ. Originally solely teaching hands on cooking classes: a fun night out where you get to create an amazing meal (then enjoy it!) quickly turned into chef’s tables, collaborative dinners with local chefs and events— bridal & baby showers, birthday parties, corporate team building and more, you name it. Wanting to expand our experience we signed a lease at North 2nd Street in NoLibs in 2018, and finally opened our doors earlier this year. Even though COVID-19 forced us to shut down and pivot to meal kits, to a cafe and now outdoor dining, we are looking up at the future and our little piece of Philly. Our team of chefs have come together and are putting out seasonal inspired menus—coursed plated dinners, running weekly. Plus, we are SO excited hands on cooking classes are starting back up! Some clips from my workout today with @yb_shape! I rarely work out with anyone, but we decided to work out together to push each other in the areas we feel like we’re lacking in. Me: squat, Yardon: bench. It was definitely an awesome workout and I’m excited to see where my squat is at in a month or so! 1st video: weighted push-ups for 3x10 @ 25lbs and then went up to 35lbs for the last two sets. 2nd video: bench for 6x3 @ 120lbs 3rd video: squat for 4x8 @ 135lbs. While this doesn’t seem like much this is the most reps I’ve done at 135lbs since I hurt my back over 3 years ago. It was tough, but felt awesome. A grandparents love ❤️ Our little one hit the jackpot with his grandparents. Seeing mine & Luke’s parents with Liam has been more special than I ever thought possible. Seeing the light in their eyes when holding him is unreal and it brings tears to my eyes. 🥺 My mommy (aka Liam’s Nainie) has been my hero this past week. I was 6 or 7 the first time I can remember experiencing anxiety. Back then, it showed itself in occasionally begging my mom to stay home from school. It’s since come in waves throughout my life— and thanks to my mom’s knowledge, holistic medicine, and personal experience.. I’ve balanced my nervous system and can handle the occasional ‘flare-ups’ as they arise. —— Looking back to last week, I can now see the wheels were clearly coming off, but I wasn’t paying attention. Then it happened: a full blown panic attack. Lasting hours and lingering for days. Even though this year has been intense + heavy on every level, I was still surprised. It’s been at least a decade since the last one and I’m pretty in tune with my body. —— Someone who’s never struggled with anxiety might ask: ‘What are you worried about?’ or kindly suggest taking a bath to decompress. I wish it was that simple. But here’s the thing. It’s not just one stressful day or the weight of the current world we’re living in.. it’s all of it. Tiny little chips here and there until the whole thing cracks and your adrenals are totally fried. Cortisol central. —— So I took inventory.. and a real break from this app. Getting off IG for a week might not seem like much (and was not the main solution), but it’s embarrassingly never happened and was just the reset I needed. Less subconscious scrolling, more free time, and a lot more control over the energy coming at me. —— Thankfully after just a few days on an herbal adrenal support formula, I feel 99% back to myself. I’m continuously blown away by the power of naturopathy and am not sure where I’d be without it (most likely on Zoloft at age 10). All of this to say: I’m back. And looking forward to slowlyyyy easing into things. —— Take care of yourself, especially right now. It’s impossible to show up for anything if you can’t first show up for yourself. EXCITING NEWS *emotional story and long post* I have been pretty much missing in action on my social media and IG stories, but I promise I have a good excuse. Sam and I are moving! Finally after 4.5 years together we are taking the leap and getting our own place together. These past few weeks have been challenging for a number of reasons, but one of the hardest things was saying goodbye to my current apartment. My first apartment in LA, the place my dad was able to visit and the last place I was with him. In this doorway I hugged him for the very last time. Ive faced a lot of battles due to grief and I knew this was one Id face eventually but it snuck up on me quicker than I expected. All the arrows were pointing me in the right direction, but making the final decision to move was EXTREMELY hard for me. After many discussions, tears, missed meals, and a therapy session, I knew I was making the right decision. I know my dad would want me to make the move to be happy and that if he were here hed be the first one to tell me to do it! So I took the leap. Saturday we say goodbye, but we also say hello, to many new, exciting and happy memories together in our new place. I am beyond blessed that Sam is my partner in all of this. He was patient with me, talked me through every decision and hugged me during the pain. I could not have done this without him. I knew the best way to hold onto that memory with my dad were photos. To be fully transparent, I lost my excitement for this project the moment we went into a pandemic. The conversations I kept having with myself were all negative. “Now is not the time.”, and “If we open we’re going to fail.” Also “Your abilities are not good enough for a project this big.” I forgot my WHY. Why? This is how I show up for myself. There’s so much I want to accomplish in my lifetime. So my girls grow up knowing they too can do anything. Times are weird, but nevertheless life is happening. The very nature of life is uncertain. The natural order of life is risk and reward. The last thing we need is to play small. What can I say, overwhelmed is a start. I feel so grateful to see my 777 talent shining in their own unique and beautiful way and did not expect one bit to be seeing them all around the world shining bright! Here’s a bit about myself. My journey began as a boy born in East London and I grew up in Essex. I experienced a lot of discrimination because of my personal beliefs and differences. Before my journey started as a model I was the kid that was labelled as the ugly/not cool kid and experienced a lot of hatred because I was different to everyone else. I begin to hate myself because of this and wanted to be ‘normal’. I used to get picked on for moles I had on my face and on several occasions attempted to cut them out of my face with razors because I thought they were ugly. I used to avoid looking in mirrors. But God opened a modelling career for me despite my insecurities and the opinions of others. I embarked on a modelling career that lasted 7 years which saved my life. I haven’t really shared this to many people. I prematurely ended my career because I had a completely different vision and no longer wanted to be represented by people that didn’t have my best interests at heart. I started 777 because I understand the pressures of society, there’s a wrong perception on beauty. Everyday I have the opportunity to be apart of the lives of people from all backgrounds, faiths and walks of life. My aim has always been to create a safe and loving environment for my talent where they can grow without limitations, pressures and expectations of people that don’t understand their journey. I’m very aware of the responsibility that comes with this and want to express my gratitude to my talent and staff who have put their trust in me. I wanted to share a few of many moments that are very special to me so far on this journey. Never try and fit in. Because your differences make you beautiful.
