In questa prima parte del Workshop percorreremo vari itinerari tutti vicini luno dallaltro soffermandoci in diversi punti paesaggistici suggestivi, le Valli di Comacchio sono un rifugio naturale per numerose specie, animali e vegetali: dai conigli selvatici, ai germani reali, agli aironi, ai cormorani, ai fenicotteri rosa che avremo modo di osservare da vicino o in volo durante il tramonto. La prima sessione di scatti terminerà proprio al tramonto e successivamente ci sposteremo insieme verso il centro di Comacchio. - Dopo una piccola pausa si tornerà a scattare in notturna fino alle 22.00 circa nel centro storico di Comacchio. Durante el virreinato en México, el templo de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios tuvo una gran importancia social. Sin embargo, su ubicación geográfica hacía difícil el aprovisionamiento de agua tanto para la iglesia como para el pueblo de Los Remedios, ubicado en una de las zonas altas al poniente de Naucalpan, en el Estado de México. El intento por solucionar este problema dejó como resultado un monumental acueducto construido en cantera, con una longitud de 500 m e integrado por 50 arcos de medio punto separados 6.7 m entre sí; cada columna tiene una base de 2.05 m de frente por 1.7 m de profundidad y una altura máxima de 16 metros. La obra se llevó a cabo en dos etapas, la primera en 1616 por órdenes del virrey Diego Fernández de Córdoba con el objetivo de llevar agua al templo; el preciado líquido sería trasportado desde el ojo de agua del pueblo de San Francisco Chimalpa a través de un arcaduz construido con tubos de barro. El proyecto se justificaba en parte porque el agua excedente se utilizaría para el riego de las parcelas de los pueblos de San Bartolomé, Santa María Nativitas y Santa Cruz, aledaños a la zona. - @naucalpan_edomx on Instagram
Sanjay Puri Architects recently completed the Rajasthan School in Nagaur, India. The low-rise school includes a semi-sheltered courtyard with multiple angular pathways, connecting two parts of the school with landscaped play spaces that foster engagement. Traversed by a series of linear trapezoidal frames and sun-breakers, this focal area has a constantly changing shadow pattern depending on the suns direction throughout the day. Лучшая! Во дворе дома №8 «Б» по улице Ситнова в этом году формировали комфортную городскую среду. Когда я увидел результат, я не мог поверить своим глазам. Впервые в истории Дзержинска сделали площадки для людей! Фактически здесь получилось четыре площадки. Одна детская, для самых маленьких. Для них же есть ещё небольшая площадка с качелями. Для ребят постарше построен спортивный корт для командных игр. Его ограждение сделано не из проволоки, а из стальной арматуры, которая не ломается после ударов мячом. Ещё в этом дворе теперь есть отличный тренажерный комплекс. На всех площадках прорезиненное покрытие, есть освещение, лавочки и урны. Большое спасибо всем, кто реализовал этот проект. Mucubal girl. Mucubal (also called Mucubai, Mucabale, Mugubale) people are a subgroup of the Herero ethnic group settling in Southern Angola.They are also Bantu speaking people. It is historically asserted that the Mucubals are originally from Kenya and are related to the Masai. They are semi nomadic pastoralists living as cattle raisers and engaged in agriculture. They live in a large area between the slopes of Chela Mounts in the north, and River Cunene to the south. At their younger age,girls have their upper teeth sharpened and lower ones removed. Grateful to be spending the long weekend in the Ts’elxwéyeqw tribes beautiful traditional territory (commonly known as Chilliwack). Yesterday we visited Bridal Veil Falls in Popkum First Nation territories, located northeast of Ts’elxwéyeqw lands. Both nations are tribes of the Stó:lō peoples, meaning People of the River. In Islam, water is sacred and introduced in the Quran as the origin and the source of all life (21:30). Ive been blessed to have lived my entire life surrounded by water, from which I have always found strength and stability. Thats probably why I went a little off course and climbed as high as I could yesterday 😅. If youve ever hiked with me, you know how I am! Photo by @eva.colomer As we were driving to the north east of Uganda, in the Karamojong area, we happened to stop at a little group of houses by the bumpy road. After negociating with the local chief who was dressed in the most bizarre attaire possible ( a sort of military jacket and matching cap) , we agreed to camp next to the houses. The curiosity was mutual, obviously. Slowly, slowly came the children, then some older boys and some women, too. They were as fascinated by our “houses” which were ready in 10 minutes, as we were by their looks. Amazing experience. The next morning, just as I peeped out of my tend, I caught them standing there, as if they had been waiting for me all night. The Karamojong or Karimojong are a Nilotic ethnic group. They are agro-pastoral herders living mainly in the north-east of Uganda. Their language is also known as Karamojong or Karimojong and is part of the Nilotic language family. The main livelihood activity of the Karamojong is herding livestock, which has social and cultural importance. Crop cultivation is a secondary activity, undertaken only in areas where it is practicable. Due to the arid climate of the region, the Karamojong have always practised a sort of pastoral transhumance, where for 3–4 months in a year, they move their livestock to the neighboring districts in search of water and pasture for their animals. I want equality in the community. I want to bring peace back to South Sudan. says Ferida Marmin, 21, Youth Activist and South Sudanese refugee in Uganda. She says, “I arrived in Bidi Bidi refugee camp alone in October 2016. My family and I had gotten separated when they fled fighting in South Sudan. I still do not know where they are. “People always say the conditions here are hard - you have to be strong. My will is to help bring the community together — that we bring peace. It is important to reduce tensions and reduce violence in the community in order to promote peace. Here, we come from different places in South Sudan — but here we need to be unified. This September, UN Security Council resolution 1325 is 20 years old. This resolution recognises that women should have a seat at the peace table.
