Honestly, after shutting down Postlapsaria I just lost interest — it felt like a chapter I needed to close entirely so that I could move forward. When I started making cloth masks, it made me feel useful and accomplished; it was a positive distraction from the perpetual anxiety of 2020. After sewing and donating several hundred masks, I decided to make something for myself from a set of old bed sheets (that post is a little while back). Since then, I’ve made at least 15 more garments for me and my friends, plus matching masks and scrunchies, bows, and sashes. I’m working on some costumes right now, but before I go all in on my Halloween posts, I wanted to show you four dresses that I recently made and had the chance to wear out of my apartment. I think, like many, homeschooling was not part of my parenting plan. In these uncertain times... and were in uncharted waters are phrases that have graced more emails, news reports and text messages than I care to count. As an MSW/MPH student COVID-19 has highlighted for me all the gaps in the provision of healthcare, social services and education in the country (and beyond). The last week has reminded me of the moments after the birth of my third baby. I struggled with PPA and OCD. At the time, what was most harmful to me was that there was something out there so unimaginable I would not be able to protect my family - that I could not keep us safe from the unknown. I became hypervigilant about the ways in which I could protect us - which turned into unhealthy behaviors. After being helped and supported, I began to understand that this, in its essence, is parenting: uncertainty is the name of the game. This last week has been a reminder of the many things that are out of our control - that we have to do our best in these moments to demonstrate grace for ourselves (and therefore our children), and be honest about how we are all learning and growing as we go along, despite what we are up against. Learn to pivot. For people struggling with anxiety, depression and OCD (and so much more), I see you. Pregnancy and postpartum can feel very out of control on a regular day. Its such a vulnerable time - & the added layer of this current climate can certainly be challenging. But alone doesn’t have to mean feeling isolated. We are all in this together. When I started making skirts, I used upcycled materials, as that’s what I use for most of my bows. As much as I love turning old things into something new, the skirts just weren’t exactly what I was envisioning. My girlie loves when she can twirl in her skirts, and mine just weren’t twirly enough. From now on, the majority of my skirts will be made with new material that are more lightweight and flowy - like this gorgeous fall floral skirt. Este livro tem muitas receitas, todas elas fáceis de confeccionar. Umas já foram feitas em televisão, outras não. É O DA JOANA porque é assim que desejo que se veja aquilo que ando a fazer com a comida. É O DA JOANA porque é muito mais fácil quando quiserem referir-se ao dito. E estou muito feliz por ter hoje ultimado os detalhes mais últimos deste objecto. Em breve irei à gráfica ver a impressão e partilharei tudo aqui. Em breve também vxs mostrarei que surpresa surpreendente preparei para todxs xs que decidirem fazer uma pré-encomenda online. De resto, e porque não posso já dizer tudo tudo tudo senão deixa de ter graça, esta capa foi fotografada pelo meu magnífico Carlos Pinto e pensada por mim, against all odds. Tiene varias piscinas, diferentes toboganes, jacuzzis dentro de las piscinas y buena animación para los niños. Varios parques infantiles, zona deportiva, alquiler de bicicletas y un espacio con animales( cabras) . Muy cerca del camping había un recinto con caballos. Las instalaciones estaban bastante bien. La única pega que tienen los campings Franceses es que todo es en Francés. Nadie habla tú idioma, o muy poca gente. La animación es en Francés y los restaurantes y bares también hablan su idioma. Cómo punto positivo el precio. En Cataluña un camping de estas condiciones en temporada alta( o baja😂) suele ser bastante caro, la semana ronda los 1000-2000€. En Francia lo puedes encontrar por 600-1300€. Hace poco comparando campings con mi marido nos dimos cuenta que la mayoría de campings catalanes están rodeados de césped, muchas zonas verdes. En cambio los que hemos visitado en Francia no lo tienen. Las piscinas están rodeadas de asfalto, piedrecitas etc. Y cuentan con menos zonas verdes. Menos mantenimiento, y posiblemente menos gastos. Sea como sea, los precios allí son más asequibles, y los campings están bastante bien.
