#OnThisDay Thirty years ago, the Reunification Treaty officially went into power. Four days later, East and West Germans together celebrated the first ever Day of German Unity! 🖤❤️💛 . In the year between the Berlin Wall falling and the Day of German Unity, East Germans voted to dissolve their nation and join West Germany. Thus, the 🇩🇪 Basic Law was adapted and the Preamble now reads: “This Basic Law thus applies to the entire German people.” #GermanUnity #30YearsUnited #Germany #EastandWest #DeutscheEinheit #WirSindEinVolk - @germany_un on Instagram

Today is Constitution Day. Drafted in secret by delegates to the Constitutional Convention during the summer of 1787, this four-page document, signed on this day in 1787, established the government of the United States. The Federal Convention convened in the State House (now known as Independence Hall) in Philadelphia on May 14, 1787, to revise the Articles of Confederation. Because the delegations from only two states were at first present, the members adjourned from day to day until a quorum of seven states was obtained on May 25. Through discussion and debate it became clear by mid-June that, rather than amend the existing Articles, the Convention would draft an entirely new frame of government. All through the summer, in closed sessions, the delegates debated, and redrafted the articles of the new Constitution. Among the chief points at issue were how much power to allow the central government, how many representatives in Congress to allow each state, and how these representatives should be elected — directly by the people or by the state legislators. The work of many minds, the Constitution stands as a model of cooperative statesmanship and the art of compromise. Test your knowledge of this founding document in our story today. How much do you know about the Constitution? ... Photo: The Constitution of the United States, page 1, 9/17/1787. ----------------------------------------- ENG - Here the results of where each of the 43 traveling tetrabriks lost track. Its part of an investigation by @occupational Some conclusions of the investigation are: Although the sample is limited and the briks constitute a package with specific difficulties, the results call into question the published data on package recovery. Furthermore, the analysis of the data reveals clear inefficiencies: -There are few authorized plants in Spain: according to our data, all the briks we deposited except one had to have gone to a plant of the company Saica in Zaragoza. This requires long journeys to be able to transport the waste to them, which is expensive and unsustainable. #etsycompartiendoexperiencias #suprareciclaje #tetrabrik #ceroresiduos #tetrapack #zerowastedesign #ecoideas #arte #residuocero #residuos #nowaste #cerowaste #zerowaste #planetaverde #ecocidio #ocu #basuracero #basuraleza - @tetratrik on Instagram

The Egyptians appear to have been the oldest practitioners of the art of gold gilding. For at least five thousand years Egypt’s craftsmen have exploited the malleability of gold by hammering it into leaf of extreme thinness which then, because of its beauty and durability, was used to ornament and protect the wood on to which it was applied. We thought that was beautiful, how they adorned their most special objects using ‘other-worldly’ materials for protection. #OriginsAW #gold #craftsmanship #heritage #storytelling #positivefashion - @sabrymarouf on Instagram
