Όταν όμως προέκυψε ο κορονοιός και ό,τι αυτός έφερε μαζί του, άνοιξαν δύο δρόμοι. Είτε αναβάλλουμε την ανακαίνιση λόγω της αβεβαιότητας για την επερχόμενη κρίση, είτε κάνουμε το ακριβώς αντίθετο: εκμεταλλευόμαστε το χρόνο που μας δίνεται για να ανακαινίσουμε το εστιατόριο όχι μόνο προς την κατεύθυνση που ήδη θέλαμε, αλλά και για να το θωρακίσουμε ακόμα περισσότερο από άποψη ασφάλειας. Ασφάλεια, καθαριότητα, πειθαρχία, τώρα αυτά κάνουν τη διαφορά. Μόνο που για μας ήταν ανέκαθεν το μότο μας, αυτονόητο κομμάτι αυτού που εννοούμε όταν λέμε ποιότητα. Όπως και να χει το Nolan φρεσκαρίστηκε, θωρακίστηκε, ξεκουράστηκε και επιστρέφει πολύ ορεξάτο, σήμερα, στις 7 το απόγευμα, για το βραδινό σέρβις. Thoracic Rotation Drills DO NOT give you more thoracic rotation. ⠀ ⠀ Well maybe they do but from where? If we want to improve rotation we need to understand what actually creates change in rotation at the vertebral bodies not just the thorax as a whole. ⠀ ⠀ We need to create rotation from the inside not the outside. ⠀ ⠀ When we hip shift on one side we are changing the rotation of the innominate which creates a change in the direction of the sacrum. This is different than orientation, meaning lateral tilt, rotation clockwise or counterclockwise, or anterior or posterior tilting of the entire pelvis. ⠀ ⠀ Some people don’t need posterior tilting they just need posterior rotation to allow for more nutation. (More on this to come!)⠀ ⠀ We can imagine the thorax the same way. When we want to change the rotation we need to “Shoulder Shift” to allow for expansion of certain areas of the thorax to drive rotation not just orientation. Simply rotating to one side may just push us further down the compensatory rabbit hole.⠀ ⠀ A limitation in right rotation of the thorax may actually be a limitation in left spinal rotation. Meet Kara, an artist who is a huge advocate for sustainable actions within the art world & our environment! Here is a sneak peek into her story. She paints and sculpts with encaustic, paint made with beeswax, tree resin, and pigment. Encaustic art dates back to ancient Egypt when Kara found herself going through so much beeswax she decided to take up beekeeping. She liked the idea of a sustainable art form, one that came from the earth into her hands. And once she learned about bees and how important they are to our environment, she poured as much passion into her bees and the eastern shore honey they produced as she did for her art. Thats how Waxing Kara was born. AT HOME WITH SERENA CRAWFORD, Plettenbergbay. My stylish sister has spent much of Lockdown setting up her new house which she has slowly revealed on her IG @serenacrawford. This is looking down onto the hub of the house from the upstairs library gallery. I adore the tiered fireplace she created which provides a wonderful place for candles at night and flowers summer. Like me she is textile obsessed which you can see from all the throws and cushions. If you look carefully you will see my VOC Textile I posted yesterday on the window banquette cushions flanking the fireplace.
