Finding the balance between OT school and your own life is a challenge that many students including myself have faced. Students often come into their program passionate about their field and ready to learn, but aren’t quite ready for those lectures that are from 8-5pm plus the additional time spent studying outside of class. Some people spend so much time on their studies that they lose themselves in the process leading them to burnout early on. It’s easy to sit and listen to your fellow classmates talk about how stressed they are trying to juggle their lives in and out of school. At times I’ve been too overwhelmed with the roles I’ve had to fill while completing other task. Sometimes it felt as though there was too much to learn in too little of time yet there was the pressure of not wanting to disappoint others. I took on the role of being a leader in my cohort and looked up to me to lead them towards the right direction if things were confusing. However, I very quickly learned that I needed to change the way I was going about things. It is important that while you are a student in OT school and just in life in general that you find your balance. Typically people do better when they have a balanced lifestyle of both work and leisure. It’s important for yourself to take those breaks to engage in leisure, play, sleep and self care so that you can recharge yourself for what else is yet to come. By doing so you are increasing your own health and wellness and boosting the quality of life you may have. However, everyone’s own balance may be different depending on the individual and their own cultures, values, and environment they are in. Enjoying an arepa rellena at the only Venezuelan restaurant in all of Coral Gables, @puntocriollomiami. They are a great place for takeout (breakfast or lunch) and have super affordable prices. Ingrid começou contando ao DA que seu primeiro contato com a arte foi quando era criança e aos 13 anos de idade resolveu seguir o ballet clássico a sério. “Comecei a dançar na minha escolinha de ensino infantil e depois só fui voltar aos 13 anos na academia que eu fazia na época. Hoje quero falar um pouquinho sobre Destination Wedding, não sobre aqueles cenários paradisíacos que roubam nosso fôlego (e que a gente adora), mas sobre a experiência única e insubstituível de estar com as pessoas que mais amamos durante um final de semana “inteirinho”. Selecionei algumas fotos do final de semana do casamento da Karen e do Chico (ê saudades) porque elas traduzem exatamente o que talvez eu não consiga colocar em palavras. Remember these bounty from last May? Did you know that it takes seven months for tulip bulbs to become flowers, eleven months if you count the planning phase. My husband helped me dig a 20feet trench to plant around 800 bulbs last October. We will be planting double that amount this year for Spring 2021. 💐 Im looking forward to the break from outdoor work this winter but I am more excited for what is to come after that. This will be what #thepegflowershop 2.0 might look like, buckets after buckets of tulips at @thepegauthentic and I cant wait for that. 💐 Thank you to all who bought tulip bulbs from me! There is one pack left in the shop and there wont be a re-stock of the tulip rainbow pack until next Fall. With the interest you all have shown with my first sale of bulbs, I am keen on sourcing more specialty varieties for next year, so that you can enjoy what I grow here myself. Like with any other small businesses, investing is a huge risk and so far, YOU showed me that it is worth taking it. The Sand family couldnt have scripted a more fortuitous turn of events. Many months ago when I first birthed the idea of taking the family band on an educational music tour of Europe I put out a vague call to my music program students, both in Philadelphia and online, to ask if anyone out there had any connections to anyone anywhere in Europe who may be able to plan any kind of concert or host us in any way. (Vague.) The very first response came from Sarah, whose family had enjoyed my online lessons while she was homeschooling in the US. She had since moved with her family to her Dutch husbands ancestral hometown of Orvelte, a museum village in the Netherlands, a tiny town tourists visit to step back into Dutch farm town life several centuries past. She invited us to stay with her on our travels. Score! But thats not the real twist. After making plans to visit this nether region of the Netherlands, Sarah learned that SIVO, an international dance and music festival that had been taking place elsewhere in the Netherlands for thirty years, would be planting itself in Orvelte this summer. Sarah told the organizers that a band performing world music for families was already planning to come, and together we agreed that the All Around This World band would headline their childrens activity area. Over the next few days Ill be posting photos from this inspirational international festival. В неділю ходили на блошиний ринок шукати лупу, а натомість викопали серед старого посуду і всякого непотребу обєктив, Pentacon 29mm, f/2.8. На лінзі тільки один масний відбиток пальця, подряпин немає і сам стан обєктива хороший. Ну, вирішили, ризикнемо, спитаємо ціну.. Продавець так подивився на це, подивився.. Потім я теж так глянула, скривилась, покрутила в руках ніби сміття.. Легко зійшлися на 6 євро. Ми дещо здивувались цьому, знаючи як на цій блошці деруть ціни на всякі вінтажні штуки. Певно, продавець вирішив, що на цей обєктив не те, що знімати не можна, а й взагалі хіба що викинути залишається. А ми собі раді, накрутили лінзу одразу і давай її тестувати 😃 . As our public spaces begin to transform and parts of our infrastructure start to take on new meanings our cities are starting to look at new ways to spark communal activity. Our musical benches started as an exploration of rediscovering the function of a traditional public park bench. How it can transform a once underutilized space into a spectacle of open-ended play. We designed the bench to function as a traditional public park bench, but also become a spark for communal conversation and creativity. FOREST x KUNSTMÜHLE Die Kunstmühle erfand sich, mithilfe von Giuseppe Tedesco und Klaus Werndl, neu und wurde zum hippen Café und Restaurant. 🥞🍳 FOREST durfte die Pläne von Anfang an begleiten und wurde mit neuem Corporate Design & Marketing-Maßnahmen betraut. 📏✨ Der Plan war es, das Alte mit Neuem zu verbinden sowie Tradition mit modernen Details zu vereinen.
