✨PROGRESS UPDATE ✨ Just wanted to share a lilllll update with y’all on where I’m at with my progress in the gym and my current goals right now cause I feel like I haven’t really shared that with you guys I chose to show the sumo deadlift because this is one of my fave exercises for me to lift heavy and my overall fave exercise at the gym Pre Covid I was able to max out at 225lbs (2 plates on each side) I’m currently maxing out at 165lbs. I’m not mad or upset at all that I’m not at the stage where I was before. I’m actually finding it fun to rebuild up the strength for this exercise. My first time back in the gym after quarantine, I was only able to go to about 35lbs on each side (115lbs total) which was better that I expected. Now almost a month and a half later I feel like I’m at a really good place with my strength training , not just for this exercise but overall and now I’m just trying to really get those gains backkkkk ya knoooow Aside from the training I’ve actively been tracking my calories and been eating 1800 cal a day ( 135-150g Protein, 200g Carbs & 50g Fat). My goal is in a week or so to drop my calories to begin the cut phase to maximize fat loss while maintaining muscle mass so I’m excited to see where that takes meeee I feel like I’m at a new stage in my fitness journey cause now I’m putting my full effort into the gym AND diet where before I mostly relied on the gym to show progress and never really stayed consistent with diet/calories/tracking. ANYWAYS now you’re up to date with what I’m doin 😊 I hope to show some progress pics over the next few months cause this is new to me and it’s exciting to see the body change when fueling it properly ! TREAT DAYS. this past weekend I talked about treat days in my stories. how I treat myself and how often. as this is a hot hot subject, I wanna lift this again. I treat my every weekend. sometimes 1day, sometimes 3days. I eat whenever and whatever I fancy. I still try to keep my meals intact during the days tho.. like I never replace a meal with candy and sweets. I still keep my breakfast, lunch and dinner. sometimes fast food.. mostly burgers, sushi and pizza but sometimes I want pasta or tacos. reg. the bloating that you can feel after a treat that, that’s NORMAL! and it will go away in a sec. I honestly don’t care about it as I knooow it’s just temporary. I stay consistent and I’m back to my routine and nutrition the day after it’s all good. the first pictures and video is my shape the day AFTER my treat day. as you can see, nothing will happen over a day. My journey since before I can even remember has been centered around my physical health. I seemed to like to keep my parents on their toes for all of my life. From beginning with having no ear canals to more recently struggling with #ulcerativecolitis , I have seen a lot of the medical system. Up until this year, hospital visits were pretty standard, meeting with at least one of my doctors every two months wasnt that unusual, & taking sick days was unfortunately something I had to do quite often. Growing up I always felt different because I knew I was different & I HATED it. Even though maybe people who looked at me couldnt see all of my ailments, I still experienced it. I still woke up always tired from fatigue, would run to washrooms hunched over in pain, would vomit or feel light headed & tell myself we had to get past it. But despite this constant struggle with my body, I was still the queen of denial & pushing myself too far. No one could see my struggles & I wanted to badly to keep it that way. This in the long run made me a shit advocate for myself. So when I became an adult & my mom didnt need to be my advocate (even tho she still is) I had no idea what the fuck I was doing. I didnt ask questions, I didnt get doctor garble clarified, I didnt ask for second opinions- I just went along with it & was willing to wait around. Thankfully I had two people in my life (my mom & @thatgirljo.xo ) who knew better & pushed me to know better. Its been a lot of trail and error, a lot of frustrated tears, the desire to give up, & endless questions but I am getting better & as a result I am health wise in a better place. I learnt about a lot of medications, standard procedures that I could ask for, looked for dr.s that fit my needs, & asked questions. I became more hands on in my own health journey & it has been so rewarding. But I wouldnt have gotten here if I didnt know the people that I do. And I recognize what an immense privilege this is, so this is partly why YWC has become so near & dear to me. another workout in my @balanceathletica oasis fit and i’m STILL not over it! I got my kingdom order yesterday and BRUH I might just have to order more from the presale did this leg workout with just my 30 lb kettlebell (heaviest weight i’ve used since lock down started and boy is it getting old) but you can do this with any heavy weight or just your body! 1️⃣4x12 squats + curtsy lunge 2️⃣4x12 b stance romanian deadlifts per leg superset with 12 kettlebell swings 3️⃣4x20 banded hip thrusts with abduction 4️⃣4x10 reverse lunges per leg superset with 15 pull throughs (looks like a deadlift but it’s not — press through your heels to keep tension in the glutes while you reach backwards instead of straight down) 🎶 Good Love @torylanez - @shefuels on Instagram

⠀ ⠀ Ok so you guys remember the 2012 world is ending fiasco because someone interpreted the Mayan calendar stopping as being the world ending? So there’s this theory/belief that the Mayan calendar was actually a calendar for the golden age, silver age, Bronze Age, & dark ages. Apparently the calendar stopping means that we have now entered the dark ages (where we have little to no morality, lost touch with spirituality, all these problems & unhappiness). It’s essentially a calendar keeping track of our “time period” let’s say. The Egyptians had the same thing it’d show us the cycle of golden age, etc. so we are just going through a cycle. After the dark age passes we will enter the Bronze Age which we will start gaining back our spirituality and a not so problem solving of a view on the world. Once we reach the golden age again we will have peak architecture and so on. Good times let’s say. It’s just an interesting view by a couple of archeologists. - @emina.abdagic on Instagram
