Я снимал «Тулачермет» к 85-летнему юбилею, и был очень впечатлен масштабом этого рукотворного «вулкана», его нечеловеческой, адской красотой. ⠀ Положа руку на сердце, сознайтесь: ну как выглядела бы Тула без грандиозных печей, без заводского силжэта, символизирующего победу человека над природой и, если честно, над самим собой? Наш металлургический гигант всем гигантам гигант: доля «Тулачермет» на мировом рынке составляет около 6 процентов. Тульский чугун знают и ценят во всём мире! ⠀ История предприятия восходит ко времени, когда все в стране стремилось бить рекорды. ⠀ Летом 1931 года началось строительство завода и рабочего поселка под Тулой. Вскоре стройка была объявлена «ударной», и уже через четыре года, 15 июня 1935 года была запущена первая доменная печь, ещё через год — доменная печь № 2. ⠀ Осенью 1941 года, вскоре после начала Великой Отечественной Войны, завод был остановлен и эвакуирован в Нижний Тагил и Магнитогорск.
