- Few days ago, my friend and I were walking down the street when we spotted a lonely cat with a big belly. At first we thought nothing of it but upon closer inspection, we quickly saw that she was pregnant. We took it to her house where she later gave birth to 7 healthy kitties. She now owns them :)

Poetry under the streetlight // I joked when he told me that breaking hearts dont make noises, I wanted silence. Made a funny sound to haunt the oblivion which made me fear the sad side of poems. I see the 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐲- l̶o̶n̶e̶l̶y̶ -̶l̶o̶n̶e̶l̶y̶ me, trying to hold on something extremely reliable and real because Ill be carried away by the wind, Ill fade. I cant fucking sleep after midnight and fidget restlessly on my bed. Sometimes anxiety causes butterflies in my stomach and gives me vomiting stomach aches I shout loud cries. My mother comes rushing into my room and I tell her that I had a bloody nightmare. I see concerned caring confidence break inside her moist eyes. She caress and kisses me until I again fall asleep. My hands shake without any reason but no poem was ever written without picking up the pen and pain. I try to rhyme but I often I dont ( the reason behind this is to turn the reality into a poem and make it look enchanting or else the real aches arrows and it hurts all the more. Of what we fear the biggest is THE REAL ). When pain makes me feel alive I feel like dying. Dont you still get it ? Both death and life attack on your story. Life breathing death and death beating life ! Maybe this is what happens when thunder meets a storm. Even after good sleep of 12 hours at a stretch I woke up dark and heavy. I would like to sleep more but now my eyes arent cooperating. Maybe I didnt sleep well. Again the poem is at stake : Why dont the real writers cover it up in a monostich ? Is it so hard for them as well ? I was the one longing for silence since I started this and then I cheated with every distraction to discuss about me. 𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐒𝐓-𝐎-𝐎-𝐏𝐈𝐃 𝐎𝐅 𝐌𝐄. #jawab چند لمحوں کی تسکین میں سب سے بڑا مقام انا کی تسکین کو حاصل ہے جس کے خمار میں غرق انسان اپنے اندر ایک غرور اور تمکنت محسوس کر رہا ہوتا ہے اور اس محسور کن کیفیت سے لطف اندوز ہوتے ہوئے مخمور ہوتا چلا جاتا ہے۔ مگر ایک بات سے بے خبر رہتا ہے کہ اس خمار کی شدت زائل ہونے کے بعد تقویت شدہ اضطراب ابھرے گا۔ ٹھیک ویسے ہی جیسے تلخیوں سے مضطرب انسان حصول طمانیت کیلیے نشہ کرتا ہے اور اس نشے کے خمار میں خود کو زمان و مکاں سے بالا تصور کر رہا ہوتا ہے مگر اس نشے کا اثر زائل ہوتے ہی ان تلخیوں میں احساس ندامت کا اضافہ ہو چکا ہوتا ہے جو اس انسان کو مزید مضطرب کر دیتی ہے۔ گناہ و ثواب کا معاملہ تو انسان اور رب کا معاملہ ہے۔ اور رب نے انسان کے لیے توبہ کی راہ بھی بہت آسان رکھی۔ اور اس کے قبول ہو جانے پر دل میں سکون بھی اتار دیا کرتے ہیں۔ وہ تو الْغَفُورُ و الشَّكُورُ ہیں، الرَّحْمَنُ و الرَّحِيمُ ہیں۔ مگر انا پرستی، غرور اور تکبر تو انسانوں سے معاشرت میں جنم لیتے ہیں ۔ اس کا حصار بھی انسانوں سے معاملات میں کھینچا جاتا ہے۔ اور پھر انسانوں میں تو اکثر اتنا ظرف نہیں پایا جاتا کہ انا پرست انسان کے اس انا کے خمار سے نکل آنے کے بعد اس کے مزید مضطرب ٹوٹتے بدن پر ترس کھائیں۔ یہ چند لمحوں کا غرور اور انا کی تسکین ہمارے وجود کو مزید کھو کھلا کر کے ہمیں ہمارے ہی وجود کے کھنڈرات میں اس بے بےرحمی سے پٹختی ہے کہ ہمارے لیے اپنے ہی وجود کو سمیٹنا دشوار ہو جاتا ہے۔ اور انسانوں سے رحم کی اپیل تو بے سود معلوم پڑتی ہی ہے، مگر وہ بھی ناپسندیدگی اور لا تعلقی کا اظہار کرتے نظر آتے ہیں جن کے رحم کے سمندر لا انتہا ہیں۔ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَنْ كَانَ مُخْــتَالًا فَخُــوْرَۨا بیشک اللہ تکبر کرنے والے اترانے والے کو پسند نہیں کرتا۔ النساء 36 تحریر: عاطر علی سید - @atiralisyed on Instagram
