Yesterday was a difficult day for me and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Ralph Hudson. He left such an impression on anyone who was lucky enough to know him. The Philip Island Classic brought us together as he let me borrow his bike to race in Oz. His passion for going fast was so infectious and his stories were told without an ounce of ego. He went to Bolivia in 2018 & went 307mph at 68yrs young. His accomplishments & world record runs while impressive will never live up to the man he was. He was always there to make someone else’s life better. Going to miss my hour long phone conversions with Ralph but man am I lucky that I got to spend the time I did with him. MICHAEL SCHUMACHER PRIVATE COLLECTION Gut zwei Jahre nach ihrer Eröffnung haben wir endlich die Michael Schumacher Private Collection in der Motorworld Köln besucht. Hier hat Kuratorin und Schumacher-Managerin Sabine Kehm eine fantastische Ausstellung mit den persönlichen Erinnerungsstücken des Rekordweltmeisters zusammengestellt. Michael hat aus sämtlichen Jahren bis zu seinem ersten Rücktritt 2006 je einen F1-Boliden in seine Privatsammlung übernommen. Im Rheinland sind aus den Jahren in Rot bis auf Weiteres die folgenden Typen zu sehen: F310 (1996), F300 (1998), F399 (1999), F1-2000, F2001, F2002, F2003 GA und F2004 – darunter mehrere GP-Siegerfahrzeuge. Darüber hinaus sind einige Helme ausgestellt. Darunter auch jener, den Schumacher bei seinem schweren Unfall 1999 in Silverstone getragen hatte. Er zeigt noch heute die Spuren vom Einschlag in die Reifenstapel. Direkt daneben befindet sich der Helm, den er bei seinem ersten Titelgewinn mit der Scuderia Ferrari 2000 im japanischen Suzuka trug. Außerdem gibt es noch Rennoveralls, zahlreiche Pokale, Paddock-Pässe, Cappys und weitere Rennwagen sowie einen roten Fiat 500 zu sehen, den der Champ einst von seinem Team als Erinnerung an sein erstes Auto geschenkt bekam. - On September 15th 2011 Sergio Pérez did a test with Scuderia Ferrari. The Mexican drove Ferrari F60 that Scuderia drove back in 2009. He completed 46 laps that day. Pérez was signed to Ferrari Driver Academy in 2010 and debuted in F1 the following year with Sauber, Ferrari engine customers.
