300 lbs of cannabis, edibles, and $4,700 in cash was seized yesterday from the unincorporated community of Flinn Springs, near El Cajon. The Lakeside community has seen an influx of dispensaries in the area. Several complaints had been reported to the cops which lead to deputies and code enforcers serving a search warrant. Many consumers have been driven to illegal dispensaries due to the high taxes by the state and local municipalities. No dispensaries are legally operating in the area, as cannabis is banned in unincorporated San Diego County.
