Even with the challenges, this was a good week. Oh, the good times have just begun. Parenting is hard y’all, like really hard. Mom, if you’re reading this I want to thank you again for all your love. It’s so easy to sit back and make assumptions about how others parent or what you would do if you had a child. I’m embarrassed to admit that I’ve been that person who has been a little snooty judge Judy about parenting styles and that being a parent to one or two children would be a breeze. Hahaha! — Let’s all take a minute and laugh at the grown woman in this photo who is just as unsettled as her newborn kiddo 😫🤣. “Parenting is the easiest thing to have an opinion on, but the hardest thing in the world to do.” ~Matt Walsh I went into parenthood with my mindset focused on how I was going raise my child. A little list of do’s and don’ts, what I would teach and preach, but by the grace of God my journey has been vastly different. My daughter has taught me to go with the flow, to watch my mouth and the words I speak, to calm my frustrations, to cry without hesitation when something is upsetting, but be quick to smile again because life is sweet. I’ve learned to parent from the heart and the rest of the my desires for her in being a good human will follow. “Your kids require you most of all to love them for who they are, not to spend your whole time trying to correct them.”— Bill Ayers Troy and I know we probably will never feel like we’ve got this parenthood thing all together and we’re cool with that. We will love our child first and the rest will come — it’s all good in this hood. #parenthoodlife — #parenthoodunplugged #parenthood_unveiled #parentingishard #parenthumor #parentsbelike #parenthoodmoments #raisinggoodhumans - @ajourneyideserve on Instagram

The hallmark of bonding is physical touch. And for NICU babies, this often means snuggling skin-to-skin. Kangaroo care has many health benefits for preemies including stabilizing heart rates, improving oxygen saturation and regulation of body temperature. Whenever possible, I would do kangaroo care with both babies together. They benefited from the cuddles with me as well as each other. ... #metwobooks #lifeafternicu #preemietwins #preemiestrong #preemietwins #28weeker #nicumom #preemiejourney #preemielife #NICUbook #preemiepower #preemie #NICUawarenessmonth - @me2books on Instagram

Its #pcosawarenessmonth Its time to educate. Many patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) are given their diagnosis and told they may never be able to have children. This isnt true for everyone. The main issue that women may face with PCOS is lack of ovulation or irregular ovulation. There are various treatments that patients can seek out in order to have a baby of their own. Sometimes it involves taking medication. Other times it may involve more invasive measures such as intrauterine insemination (IUI) or in vitro fertilization (IVF). It may also benefit to be under the care of a Reproductive Endocrinologist. In addition, just because you have PCOS, it doesnt mean you cant get pregnant naturally on your own. Every patient experiences PCOS differently. Explore the options that work for you. =============== My experience: we needed help to get pregnant with my first two children. It took years of trying on our own, then with fertility treatments. It was emotionally difficult at times. The medications can be taxing. The procedures can be invasive. The process can be stressful. Theres a lot of bloodwork involved (for which my veins may never forgive me), internal sonograms, failed ovulation tests, and failed pregnancy tests.... but THEN theres the ONE POSITIVE test that changes your entire world that makes the entire process worth it. We needed a fertility expert to help us with our first two pregnancies. Our third - well, thats where PCOS threw us for a loop. I managed to get my PCOS under control for one year through diet and exercise and that resulted in our third pregnancy. Life is full of surprises! 👩‍❤️‍👨👶🏼👧🏼👧🏼 #pcos #pcosawareness #pcosawarenessmonth #pcosmyths #pcosinfertility #fertilityawareness #fertilityjourney #infertility #babyboy #babygirls #mypcosbody #mypcoslife - @ginnybefit on Instagram
