La storia più famosa di tutte é la settima delle sette meraviglie, Hanako-san del bagno. Si dice che nella terza porta dei bagni delle ragazze al terzo piano del vecchio edificio ci vive Hanako-san, la quale concede un desiderio a chiunque la convoca, però lei, in cambio prende da loro qualcosa di prezioso. Per chiamarla bisogna solamente bussare tre volte, alla porta del terzo bagno, e chiamarla tre volte chiedendole se è lì e lei apparirà davanti a te. Fu questa la storia che senti per caso Yashiro Nene in classe da delle sue compagne prima dellinizio della lezione, incuriosita dalla storia aveva deciso che il giorno stesso alla fine dee lezioni sarebbe andata a chiamare Hanako-san per farsi aiutare col suo più grande desiderio. Suonata la campanella dellultima lezione Nene uscì dalla classe e si diresse presso il luogo dove avrebbe dovuto trovare Hanako-san. Arrivata al terzo piano del vecchio edificio la ragazza apri la porta dei bagni e un po titubante si avvicinò al terzo bagno, guardó la porta e prendendo coraggio busso tre volte chiamando lo spirito con la famosa frase che serviva per evocarla Hanako-san! Hanako-san! Hanako-san! Sei qui? Disse lei assai spaventata, per poi restare silenzio chiudendo gli occhi aspettando una risposta. Pochi istanti dopo socchiuse lentamente gli occhi e vide uscire fuori dalla porta una mano sentendo una voce dirle eccomi qui la ragazzina spaventata fece un passo indietro chiudendo nuovamente gli occhi e quando li riaprí vide che in realtà nel bagno non cera nessuno oh non cè nessuno, era solamente la mia immaginazione tirò un sospiro di sollievo guardando il bagno vuoto, ma quel momento di tranquillità passò velocemente perché poco dopo che disse ciò si senti una mano appoggiarsi alla spalla ed una voce alle sue spalle dicendole sono da questa parte. A common discussion I have with the parents of a child who has tooth decay is based around their diet. 8 times out of 10 I am told that their child eats healthily, doesn’t eat junk food and does not consume sugar. The problem is that parents aren’t fully understanding all the elements to the equation. And small snacks such as the one shown slip under the radar. The packaging on this yoghurt pouch might appear bright, healthy & a great easy snack option at first glance. But in reality this tiny pouch has a few hidden things to be aware of. Healthy kids snacks are a minefield, with few really clear options out there. Dairy is one of those grey areas. For those that tolerate it, it’s packed with nutrients and probiotic bacteria that help to maintain l healthy teeth and gums. This example has a fair bit of added sugar. Natural dairy should have about 6g per serving which counts as lactose found naturally in dairy. This one has approximately 13g which means it has around 8g of added sugar, that’s quite a bit for a small child and adds up quickly if you don’t look at the packages. It’s important to remember that sugar feeds inflammation and wreaks havoc throughout the entire body. It is quite often referred to as being a ‘sweet poison’ ☠️ and I would quite literally be here all day if I was to list the cascade of negative events that happen throughout our body when sugar is introduced. Sugar has a direct impact on our microbiome, and when dysbiosis occurs this is when tooth decay can creep it’s way in. Secondly, from an Orofacial Myologist perspective, these ‘pouches’ also wreak havoc on the orofacial musculature of developing jaws and teeth. Due to the unnatural way children must suck the purée style food out of the pouch, inorganic and compensatory muscle patterns form and often we see over activity of the buccinator muscles. This can lead to narrow palates and improper swallow patterns. Not to mention that the purée style nature of this ‘food’ also has its hinderances. By not allowing the jaws to chew food properly, which will ultimately result in ‘puffy cheeks’, low tone musculature & crooked teeth, to name a few. CRASH magazine Hair by me Posted @withregram • @crashmagazine At the crossroads of East and West, the Japanese cosmetics brand @shiseido delivers a beauty series focused on cultural blending with looks in explosive colors bearing traces of punk and Japanese cinema. Shiseido has always had a knack for creating striking images that withstand the test of time. Think back to the Serge Lutens years, when the legendary perfumer imbued the brands campaigns with a futuristic, minimalist aesthetic, all in geometric forms and saturated colors. This visual identity tinged with Soviet constructivism and Surrealism elevated Shiseido to the rank of cosmetics icon in the 1980s. But Shiseido is also Yamaguchi Sayoko, the face of the brand through the 1970s, muse to the worlds greatest designers and one of the first Japanese models to walk the runways of Fashion Week. Her seemingly endless smokey eye contour continues to inspire the house, which has made it one of its signature styles. Since its origins in the late nineteenth century, Shiseido has consistently sought to beautify and illuminate womens faces, without masking their irregularities or distinctive features. In their hands, make-up becomes a formidable expressive tool, unmasking true beauty and revealing another facet of the wearers personality. Make-up is a boundless art which evolves in parallel with fashion, as beauty ideals transform and society advances. As society continues to question the concept of femininity, make-up becomes a way to take a stand and serve as an arm in the struggle. It’s also an important social marker that reflects a sense of belonging to a particular community, whether musical, artistic or political. For this photo series, Shiseido has taken up the notion of japonisme, referring to the influence that Japanese art exerted on Western writers and artists in the second half of the nineteenth century.
