Ho perso massa muscolare? Sono 3 mesi oramai che mi sono fiondato nella preparazione (a lungo termine) per un eventuale futuro Triathlon (ci provo). Le prime domande allarmanti che mi sono arrivate sono state tutte: non hai paura di perdere massa muscolare? La domanda è lecita ed anche teoricamente ben fondata, ma ecco cosa posso dirvi alla luce di questo trimestre. Il mio peso è passato da 96 kg circa a 90,5-91 di media, il volume delle mie gambe è diminuito di 3 cm (coscia mediale). Le braccia non hanno subito variazioni, mentre addome e torace sono scesi di circa 6 e 4 cm. La massa grassa è visibilmente scesa, però non avendo fatto DEXA, non ho dati oggetti e precisi. La mia routine parte con doppia sessione il lunedì di nuoto e corsa, il martedì bici e allenamento contro resistenza misto, quasi nessun multi articolare, ipertrofia e un Metcon stile CrossFit. Nota importante: non squatto pesante da dicembre 2019. Mercoledì corsa. Giovedì di nuovo doppia di nuoto e corsa. Venerdì bike lunga o intervalli, e non sempre allenamento contro resistenza. Sabato corsa lunga. Quindi in totale parliamo di 12-14 h di allenamento totale, di cui 85-90% di endurance puro. Ad Agosto una settimana di scarico con solo corsa e nient’altro. Cosa ne posso dedurre? Che su di me ad ora 1-2 allenamenti a settimana di ipertrofia e metcon sembrerebbero mantenere la massa magra, nonostante non alleni la forza e nonostante il buon volume di endurance.
