Erneut waren die staatlichen Behörden untätig und haben nicht auf die Hilferufe der Menschen an Bord und von Alarmphone reagiert. Erneut wurde ein Handelsschiff von der italienischen Seenotrettungsleitstelle und der sogenannten Libyschen Küstenwache angeordnet, das Boot in Seenot vorübergehend zu schützen, dann aber doch wegzufahren. Erneut wurden die Menschen von der sogenannten Libyschen Küstenwache zurück nach Libyen verschleppt. Erneut waren wir mit Seabird vor Ort. Erneut hätten die Menschen gerettet werden können. The last ever vertical fin to be manufactured for the iconic Airbus A380 made its journey from Hamburg to Jean-luc Lagardere plant in Toulouse to be assembled as MSN 272, the last ever Airbus A380-842. An engineering icon, the A380 was a very polarizing aircraft, it boasted legions of fans and not far behind were the enthusiasts who despised the A380 with every living breath. Not as sharp featured as the Boeing B747, nor as important with respect to the era in which the B747 debuted, connecting continents and the masses effortlessly, the A380 captured the imagination of the masses by its sheer size. A smidge shorter than the B747 in terms of absolute size, she could carry a whole bunch of people more in a high density configuration. The first of the kind would be flown by Singapore airlines, but they wont be the most recognised operator of the type. That honour rests firmly with Emirates, who found a way to make this 500 plus tonne aircraft an integral part of their fleet strategy. If you did operate into DXB during the peak rush hour, you would be swarmed by the A380s as they made their way back from around the globe, with DXB controllers working super efficiently to ensure we dont hold forever while they efficiently maneuvered us behind the might A380 while maintaing the highest required spacing between following aircrafts, for the wake forces generated by these beasts are not exactly friendly. All said, the sight of one of these roaring down the runway with their four Engine Alliance GP7270 engines screaming in the DXB heat was a sight to behold. Never as succesful as the B747, the A380 did how ever become a familiar face around the world and its arrival was usually celebrated with much fanfare. I personally for one do like the A380, the gentle whale. Kedatangan Kasal diterima langsung Panglima Komando Armada (Pangkoarmada) I Laksamana Muda TNI Abdul Rasyid K, S.E., M.M. dan Panglima Komando Lintas laut Militer (Pangkolinlamil) Laksamana Muda TNI Irwan Achmadi, M.Tr (Han). Inspeksi Pemimpin TNI AL ke unsur-unsur Koarmada I ini merupakan salah satu upaya untuk melihat dari dekat kondisi teknis dan kesiapan operasional KRI dalam melaksanakan tugas sehari-hari. Kesiapan KRI merupakan faktor utama TNI AL dalam mengemban tugas menegakkan kedaulatan dan hukum di perairan yurisdiksi Indonesia. Inspeksi ini juga untuk mengetahui sejauhmana tingkat profesionalisme para ABK KRI dalam menjaga dan memelihara Alutsista. A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III delivered U.S. relief assistance to #Beirut, Lebanon, yesterday, marking the first U.S. humanitarian aid delivery following the port facility explosion on Aug. 4. #TeamAUAB is PROUD to be a part of the first flight, flown by the 816th Air Expeditionary Airlift Squadron from Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, to aid the people of Beirut. In total, there were 28,800 meals-ready-to-eat, 11,520 bottles of water and 2 pallets of medical supplies sent yesterday to aid in relief. On Sept. 19, famed airshow performer @thedamyak50 organized a private airshow at Owen Sound Billy Bishop Airport, dubbed the “Ramp Rats Reunion.” Price, along with his daughter Stephanie, invited aviation photographers, enthusiasts and social media influencers to watch as he performed in his Yakovlev YAK-50 prototype. Price was accompanied by Dave Hewitt, who flew his Rumbling Radials Beechcraft C-45 Expeditor, and Marco Rusconi, who flew his 1952 Harvard Mk.4 in a brilliant low-level aerobatic routine. Der Einsatz der Bundeswehr/NATO im Kosovo/krieg 3 Die Option, im Kosovo militärisch einzugreifen, verfolgte die NATO seit 1998. Vorbereitend wurden schon im Juni 1998 militärische Luftübungen über Albanien und Mazedonien abgehalten und Einheiten der Marines zu Übungen nach Albanien gebracht. Die Planungen für die Luftangriffe waren im September 1998 unter den NATO-Mitgliedern abgeschlossen. Am 13. Oktober 1998 autorisierte der Nordatlantikrat NATO-Generalsekretär Javier Solana, den Aktivierungsbefehl für Luftschläge zu geben. Sie waren für ein Scheitern der Gespräche zwischen Milošević und Holbrooke vorgesehen. Die schon in der Luft auf den Angriffsbefehl wartenden B-52-Bomber der US-Air Force wurden noch am 13. Oktober 1998 in letzter Sekunde zurückbeordert. Im Verlauf des März 1999 verdichteten sich neuerlich Informationen zu einem bevorstehenden Luftschlag der NATO. Die Luft- und Seestreitkräfte der NATO hatten ihre Positionen eingenommen, der von der USS Theodore Roosevelt angeführte amerikanische Flottenträgerverband wurde aus dem Persischen Golf in die Adria beordert und die Beobachter der OSZE an der KVM-Mission am 20. März aus dem Kosovo abgezogen. Ein Angriff auf die Bundesrepublik Jugoslawien war damit jetzt imminent. Russland, das bis zuletzt an einer friedlichen Beilegung gearbeitet hatte und wichtigster Verbündeter Serbiens war, wurde über die bevorstehenden Luftschläge noch am 24. März informiert. La Armada de Colombia inició el proyecto de transferencia del buque tipo Patrol Combat Corvette – PCC 768, de la República de Corea, siendo este el segundo buque que Corea le transfiere al país, tras haber incorporado en el año 2013 el ARC “Nariño”. La Corbeta se incorporará a la Institución Naval con el nombre de ARC “Almirante Tono”, héroe nacional de la República de Colombia, siendo este el segundo al mando de la escuadra que triunfó en la Batalla del Lago de Maracaibo a orden del Almirante José Prudencio Padilla López el 24 de Julio de 1823, victoria que fue crucial para la independencia de nuestro país. Šiauliai, Lithuania • I’ve recently been working out in Lithuania on the @nato Baltic Air Policing Mission, where @royalairforceuk Typhoons and Spanish @ejercitodelaire F-18 Hornets have been protecting the airspace above the Baltic member states. , commemorating the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II, were unable to safely take flight today. The Arsenal of Democracy presented a video tribute on behalf of the Bob and Delores Hope Foundation, the U.S. Department of Defense and other sponsors. The tribute includes footage of the rarest WWII aircraft and interviews with veterans participating in the aerial tribute, which can be viewed on the Arsenal of Democracy’s Facebook and YouTube pages. The authorization to fly through the Washington D.C. restricted airspace will expire today and rescheduling the flying portion of the program is unfortunately not an option. The Arsenal of Democracy Executive Committee released the following statement regarding being unable to take flight as planned: “We are disappointed that we could not deliver the planned aerial tribute that our World War II veterans and heroes deserve for their selfless service to our nation and the world. We are, however, pleased to offer the special programming commemorating the end of World War II with never-before-seen footage of many of the aircraft scheduled to participate in the Arsenal of Democracy flyover, exciting footage from the practice flights that took place this week and a thought provoking interview that took place last night with Tuskegee Airman Brigadier General Charles McGee with the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.” - @warbirddigestmagazine on Instagram
