Speciale Chiesa di San Secondo a Cortazzone Archi scolpiti: uno diverso dallaltro La chiesa di San Secondo a #Cortazzone (#Asti, #Piemonte, #Italia) è una chiesa #romanica del secolo XII, con la facciata in parte manomessa da un rialzamento e un campaniletto in mattoni. Conserva complessivamente le sue forme primitive. #Orientata in direzione Est-Ovest secondo la tradizione romanica, con la facciata rivolta verso occidente ha dimensioni contenute, 16 metri di lunghezza per 8 di larghezza. Fu parrocchia sin quando il paese si trasferì sul colle vicino. L’esterno rivestito in arenaria locale presenta su tutto il perimetro una decorazione ad archetti pensili con fantasiose decorazioni e raffigurazioni zoomorfe e fitomorfe tipicamente romaniche oltra a rappresentazioni antropomorfe originali, molto realistiche sia pur nella rozzezza della fattura. I cant write, I tried. This is just an exercise, bear with me. People will always find ways to accuse you, if you are posting something or not posting something. Dont wash your dirty linen in public, theyll tell you. And why people do that, because they want to believe that they are not alone. I write my story here to give out a message that I am suffering from a Writers block and if you are suffering from it too, you are not alone. Its one thing I love that hasnt left me(for now{hope it doesnt}). When you are passionate about something but you cant do it; it hurts you, well differently. Self doubt gets involved, frustration. (I cant think of another word) I tried to write. I was a graphomaniac in school. Dammit! my notebook and laptop are filled with awesome half finished stories. Social media has earned bad name over the years. Not an advocate but I use it to connect with people and to learn something new. I am not preaching depression over here. I want to know if you feel the same. Like Gulliver, the guy in the picture who always got into trouble for being in a wrong place with wrong people. He was either too big or too small. He landed in different worlds, did things to please different people of different kingdoms. Delusional to think they would accept him as their own. Some satire are hard to pick when your are young. Lord told that it was not correct to pluck always More Pankh but Mata Sita did not agree to. When Lord Saw Mata Sita sad and unhappy for this. He immediately given word to Mata Sita that he would always be with Mor Pankh from his next Avtar as Lord Sri Krishna. DAKSHINA KALI The term KALI sounds so little but carries a huge meaning in it. Kali comes from kala which means time as well as black. She is the one who controls and destroys time. This painting depicts the form of Dakshina kali which we get in her Dhyana mantra(spritual chantings). Later the form in which we worship her today was developed by Sri Krishna-nanda Aagambagish (he first brought the Tantra Sastras in single book named Brihat Tantra sar, he was also the Guru of very famous poet saint Sadhak Ramprasad). Here Kali seats on Mahakala(time, popularly known as the other form of shiva) and as we can see she is engaged in sexual activites. As I told in my earlier posts that like this Kali creates and sustains the world. She carries the universe in her womb(shown in my painting) many texts also says that she is only the universe. Under Mahakala there is Sada Shiva the one who resides on Kailash mountain. He is situated here as a Corpse or dead body, it is the touch of Kali which makes him superior and she is the goddess who makes him God. Even when we worship Shiva Linga(the sex organ of shiva) we find the it emerges from a yoni(vagina) this represents that the strength of Shiva comes from Kali or Devi. Now its time to describe Kali : Kali is black or midnight blue. The colour where all colours blend together. All manifestations desolves in her. Sri Ramkrishna once said u all r far away from kali thats why kali appears black to u Like the water in a lake looks black or dark from far away, get closer and take the water in your hand and its colourless, Kali is just like that she dont have a shape, gender, colour or anything i.e Nirakara(one who is shapeless). If we see Kali in a philosophical way, her red tongue points at us or the society which makes sex or nudity as a taboo or dirty thing where as this is a very natural process and most important for creation. In recent past the feminists found kali as Sexually liberating as instead of massaging her husbands feet she danced upon him(according to the folk stories). . . Inspired by the ancient greek pottery illustrations, I create this illustration depicting the archaic era of Greek women doing their make up but this time using @lookecosmetics 😆🤩 When I studied about greek art, I was fascinated by the line quality they have. They could portray the fabric flow realistically. I love how ancient greek women truly care about their look, I saw different woman each had their own hairstyle, fashion style and jewelries. They even wear traditional make up! Lipsticks were made from a paste made with red iron oxide and ochre clays or beeswax mixed with olive oil. A red powder made from beetroots was added to the cheeks. Eyeshadows were made with ground charcoal mixed with olive oil (the miracles of olive oil!). In Greece hair was very important as it showed the class differences, slaves had short hair and rich or free women had long hair, however, after they married, they would always wear their hair up like in a bun. Their hair were decked up with accessories like jeweled combs, scarves and hair pins.
