Juntamente de Diana e Fritzz, Bidú participou de diversos comerciais para empresas de todo o país, além de participar de vários programas de televisão como da Sabrina Sato, Gugu e Faustão. Auxiliando o Seu Ernesto nas lidas diárias da oficina com a busca de ferramentas, peças, ligando o compressor, atendendo as ligações telefônicas, entre outras ações, Bidú possuía outras destrezas como rezar, realizar cálculos, apresentações em eventos e muito mais. Listed as a 8 year old Black and White Bully he weighs 96lbs and is HW POS. He needs alot of TLC please help this guy. He has been friendly with staff here at the shelter but while he was at large scratched a teenager walking by him. During his neuter surgery today, our vet staff discovered that he has an old injury to his left hind leg – the femur was broken and healed shorter and at a bad angle, and the hip is dislocated. He uses the limb but not especially well. He has moderate hip dysplasia on the other side, so recommend surgical consult for a repair rather than an amputation – concerned that he may not have great long term function with three legs. Heartworm positive, not eligible for treatment at this time due to need for surgical care. He also has significant dental disease and could benefit from a dental with extractions for broken teeth. Please let us know asap if you can take him. Today I received the sad news that Holly had passed. Some of you may remember her story, it was soul crushing and inspiring all at the same time. Holly was on the run in Thornwood, NY for NINE years before I safely captured her on November, 29, 2014. It took nine days to capture her and I always said a day for each year she was out. Her rescue made such a deep impact on so many and her story of survival became a beacon of hope for countless families missing their beloved pets. Whenever I say never give up, I think of Holly. She went on to live the most amazing life with her new mom, Kathy and her fur siblings. She was deeply loved, cherished and spoiled rotten. Holly may be gone but I will make sure she will never be forgotten. If you hear of a lost pet, share her story. Her legacy of survival, resilience, hope and love will live on. 🏞Titan aka Tai/Tush/Tusikai . . To anyone who knew him- Our boi passed away two days ago. He was a saintly being- quite a brother. A huge part of the family and the walls that make home. He lived a full life, of 11 years. My father, Arnav & I got him home from Pune when he was barely a month old. We were in school then. My family has been with him through the roughest, and he with us. We’re still used to finding him under the table/by the window when we’re home. The walls feel empty. He was diagnosed with stage-four-detected cancer very recently. My mother, maid & Arnav basically sat with him all day and night. The wise dawg gave no shits and loved everyone the same (besides my maid, who he wanted to battle in an arena since the day he was born) We are very happy that he went painlessly, never hurt a pigeon or cat or insect (zen) & gave us moments and teachings we will hold for this lifetime. The Duke who rescued us A common grouse amongst my friends is that while I write so much about Sir Don, Lizzie, Swamy and the rest of the pack in Dadar Parsi Colony, I have not written a single piece about my first born Duke. On a rainy Wednesday in September 2014, we drove to one of those interminably tall buildings nestling somewhere along the eastern freeway to rescue and adopt a Labrador. Our hearts were filled with trepidation. The climb in the lift to the top floor didn’t help either as the heart raced faster. This dog who was about six months old had been tied up on the terrace and left in the rains by the previous owner and was being fostered. We had just about recovered from a difficult time at home and wondered if this was the right time to do a right thing as neither of us ever had a dog before [though I had grown up with grandparents who loved and adored dogs]. But then the grandparents had sprawling bungalows and we a modest 2 BHK. Two sisters opened the door and a small bundle of beige greeted us. We had sat on their sofa for less than a minute when one of them said “his walk and potty is done”. You can take him now. And so it was. We held his leash and bundled him into the car. His puppy eyes were vacant. It was another ride to another home where he may not be welcome. He kept his chin on my lap and closed his eyes. The first night, none of us slept. He wandered all over the house and we wandered with him wondering what to do. And then slowly he settled down and we did too. My niece named him Duke while the maid [after threatening to leave] called him “Gundu” [the latter translates as fat in Tamil] and fell in love with him. Today in August 2020, it is impossible to believe that Gundu is a total Gunda adored and liked by all who meet him. The joy that he has brought into our lives is ineffable. In Pretty Woman, an acrophobic Richard Gere climbs the fire escape at the end of the movie with flowers in his hand and asks Julia Roberts “so what happens after he climbed up the tower and rescues her? She loves being with her humans, play dates and walks with houndie and other doggie friends, playing with toys, and yummy treaties. Lola is, at this stage, quite exuberant, so a home with small children wouldnt suit. A home with a calm, tolerant older dog would be great for her confidence on walks.
