We all go through things for a reason and when things happen to us repeatedly, there is usually purpose behind it. It’s when we can discover that purpose and harness the good in it that we have potential for making a difference. No matter how big or small. . . . Each of my births was so different. And yet four of them shared such an important similarity...my babies entered the world bum first. Thousands of you in #breechnation have experienced the same thing. Even more of you have experienced birth, period. Breech isn’t any scarier than head-down birth. Let’s be honest....whether vertex or breech it’s still pushing a human out of your hoohah or having one lifted out of your belly. It’s scary no matter what! . . . And on top of that, a mama doesn’t need professional care providers heaping more anxiety onto her plate. Many of them do though and usually it’s because they haven’t been educated in breech delivery. Their training was non-existent and so breech birth was grouped into that “emergency” category. Can’t blame people who haven’t learned yet. I have faith that this will shift over the next few years. I know more breech training has started already in grass-roots circles. A change is in the air. I’m honored to be part of that change. . . . Primeiro dia de chuva em BH e alguém amarra o THOR em um lote vago sem água e sem comida. Um doce de cachorro, carinhoso apesar da intensa dor. Sua pata esquerda estava dilacerada com seus ossinhos expostos. Lotado de pulgas e carrapatos e uma imensa dor.... Como deixá-lo? Pequenino, pesa 5 kg, pelo todo embolado e um olhar suplicando por ajuda. Foi nessa situação que o recolhemos e o levamos para a clínica. Foi internado, recebeu uma boa ração, uma caminha, carinho, aconchego e medicamentos. Infelizmente chegamos tarde para salvar sua patinha, perdeu todos os dedos até a almofadinha. Está com infecção e fazendo exames para saber se tem outras doenças. Previsão de no mínimo 10 dias de internação. Agora precisamos da sua ajuda para pagar as despesas do hospital veterinário, conseguir uma família com um coração imenso para recebe-lo e mostrar que nos importamos com ele, que nós vamos dar a ele tudo que precisa para que volte a confiar nas pessoas.
