This sweet angel grandma ended up at the shelter as stray. 13 years ago on our honeymoon my smile was still a little lopsided because 1/2 of my face was still semi-paralyzed from a nasty case of MRSA which nearly killed me a week before our wedding. The thing I remember most about that ordeal was how supportive Theresa was even though our wedding plans were blown to bits. I wish I could say it’s the only time she’s sat by me as I was writhing in agony, be it physical or mental. She’s certainly seen me through the best of times and the worst of times. My journey with heart failure is still so young at this stage. I’m 28 years old, and was completely healthy until the end of 2018. I got a chest infection early November which cleared up quickly but then mid December I started getting similar symptoms. I ignored it over the festive period but ended up back on antibiotics again just after Christmas. Skip forward to the 19th Jan and I got my mum to take me to A and E because I could hardly breathe. It took a whole plethora of tests and needles to make the decision that I may have dilated cardiomyopathy or Myocarditis. Docs still can’t give me a reason for this- could be a viral infection but it couldn’t be proved! We tried to get me home on tablet medication but I went down hill again very quickly. Now I’m confirmed active on the urgent transplant list and I’m waiting for a new heart at hospital. I’m still smiling everyday and the care I have received has been incredible! - @hannahksh - @nhsorganawareness on Instagram

- Its the last day I get to spend with my best friend for 9 years. Its been such a hard 2 days so far. I cant handle it.
- Seeing how my daughters post gave me so much comfort, I present to you my dad. My daughter died in May, ha was diagnosed in November the same year. He died of NE Cancer in just four months. Its been only two months. I miss him. This is the last image I took of him, six days before he passed.
