The Hibiki Harmony 30th Anniversary Edition was launched in late 2018 in the US🇺🇸 only (for some reason🤷🏻♂️) … I purchased more for the box and painted bottle, rather than for the actual whisky inside. It’s pleasant enough but by no means special. 3-го сентября, в четверг, состоялось уникальное путешествие в мир Жостовской росписи, организованное Фондом RUSTRENDS @rustrends при поддержке Минпроторг РФ @minpromtorg и коммуникационным агентством CATCH., приуроченное к презентации KRYGINA BOX @kryginabeauty «Сделано в России», в честь юбилея «Жостовской фабрики» @zhostovskaya_fabrika . В этом году создание коробочки «Сделано в России» связано с особенным событием — юбилеем Жостовской фабрики росписи. Жостовские мастера создают невероятную красоту, которая не теряет актуальности и идёт в ногу со временем вот уже почти двести лет. Цветочную композицию, которая легла в основу дизайна коробочки, написал главный художник Фабрики и заслуженный художник России Михаил Лебедев. Путешествие в мир жостовской росписи началось с посещения музея, где собраны выдающиеся работы конца 19 века и наших дней. Далее гостей провели по фабричному цеху, где им были продемонстрированы все этапы создания подносов — от вырубки до нанесения рисунка. Следующим пунктом стал мастер-класс, на котором все гости получили возможность своими руками сделать поднос с фирменной росписью. Художники Фабрики поделились с участниками секретами создания «жостовского букета» и принципами работы с цветом. В завершение поездки гостей ждал обед в традиционном русском стиле и вручение подарков — коробочек Krygina Box «Сделано в России». A minha inspiração imagética foi 화투 (hwatu), um jogo de baralho coreano - bem similar ao hanafuda japonês*. Na ilustração, represento um casal como bonecos tradicionais coreanos em roupas de casamento e, acima, uma entidade chamada 자청비 (Jacheongbi). Ela é tida como a deusa da terra e do amor, cuja mitologia envolve uma mulher que escolhe desafiar as normas patriarcais vigentes e se veste de homem para poder estudar numa universidade. . *O hwatu surgiu num contexto de colonização, em que a península coreana se encontrava sob domínio do governo imperial japonês. Foi utilizado como instrumento de anestesiar e voltar o povo coreano uns contra os outros pelo vício de jogos de azar. We all know, that one of our favorite indoor games is playing cards. However, did you know about the ancient Indian cards game called, ‘Ganjifa’? The Ganjifa playing practices in India were introduced and popularized by the Mughal emperors. Once established, the game spread to other regions, either in its Mughal form or in a Hinduized form. By the 16th century, several types of Ganjifa games developed. Bishnupur, in the Bankura district in West Bengal, was the only region in Bengal where the Hinduized Ganjifa cards were crafted – called the ‘Dashavatar’. Here, the game was changed both in its content and rules. 10 suits of 12 circular cards each, totalling to 120 cards in all were used. The motif painted on the cards were related to the theme, ‘10 Avatars (Incarnations) of Lord Vishnu – Dus (ten) avatar or Dashavatar in Bengali. The cards are handmade wherein first, a piece of cloth is folded several times and pasted using glue made from tamarind seeds. After drying, a layer of chalk dust is applied. Both the sides are evened out with a smooth stone. The cards are then cut into round shapes of 4-and-a-half-inch radius. The Dashavatar (10 incarnations) cards are a part of the rich heritage of Bishnupur in Bankura district of West Bengal and are a unique example of Bengal’s folk-art craft. The craftsman who made these Dashavatar cards were masters in the art of painting. Inspired by the ancient greek pottery illustrations, I create this illustration depicting the archaic era of Greek women doing their make up but this time using @lookecosmetics 😆🤩 When I studied about greek art, I was fascinated by the line quality they have. They could portray the fabric flow realistically. I love how ancient greek women truly care about their look, I saw different woman each had their own hairstyle, fashion style and jewelries. They even wear traditional make up! Lipsticks were made from a paste made with red iron oxide and ochre clays or beeswax mixed with olive oil. A red powder made from beetroots was added to the cheeks. Eyeshadows were made with ground charcoal mixed with olive oil (the miracles of olive oil!). In Greece hair was very important as it showed the class differences, slaves had short hair and rich or free women had long hair, however, after they married, they would always wear their hair up like in a bun. Their hair were decked up with accessories like jeweled combs, scarves and hair pins.
