I mentioned several weeks ago that Infinite Strength would be implementing changes in the near future. I wanted to share these changes with you at this time. By now we all understand that this pandemic has totally upended everyones life and small businesses are struggling. Nonprofits are among those finding it especially hard as fundraising during this time has been extremely difficult. At the same time, patients struggles have become more dire due to job losses, a shrinking economy and the impact on mental and emotional health. I have had a lot of sleepless nights trying to make sure we implement changes that will best serve the majority of the patient population we support in order to make the greatest impact. One thing kept sticking with me, and that is most of the women we help are single mothers who were already struggling financially prior to diagnosis. Breast cancer is the final straw, that in some cases, leaves these women homeless and trying to protect their children. Effective September 1st, Infinite Strength will be dedicated to providing financial assistance to underserved/underinsured single mothers in treatment for breast cancer. In addition, we will process all grants from within our Connecticut organization instead of providing funds directly to hospitals or third parties. Patients and/or social workers/nurse navigators will be able to access the grant application directly through our website and our team will review and process accordingly. And finally, patients with Metastatic Breast Cancer will be eligible for additional support on an annual basis (recurring grants). As you know, this has been a goal of ours for a while, and we are so thrilled to be able to see this goal become a reality. 2020 has been a year of introspection; a year where we have all prioritized like never before. A year where we learned (if we did not already know), just how important human connection and kindness really is! These changes reflect our desire to connect with as many patients as possible. @GemeenteHengelo gaf mij de opdracht om stadsdeel Hart van Zuid een visuele identiteit te geven. Samen met Trimotion hebben we onderzoek gedaan naar de ware identiteit van dit stadsdeel, wat ik mocht vertalen naar een mooi passend kleurenpalet, vormen die de ambitie van dit stadsdeel sieren en een beeldtaal die inspireert en prikkelend is. Vandaag tijdens burendag is dit op een persoonlijke manier gepresenteerd aan de bewoners en bezoekers van Hart van Zuid. Voor mij persoonlijk was dit een eervolle klus. Hier komen mijn specialisaties samen. Ik ben al 10 jaar betrokken bij Hart van Zuid als fotograaf en ik heb vanuit SkateLAB samen met Marko Matic de kers op de taart van de Laan Hart van Zuid mogen leveren, het skatepark op het Industrieplein. Dear Acey community, After nearly five incredible years of building a business which I knew needed to exist, I’ve decided it’s time for The-Acey to go on a hiatus. It was late 2014 when I launched The-Acey, the goal was to offer women a more sustainable way of shopping, and I’m beyond proud to say that we achieved this. The-Acey was early to the sustainable fashion market, launching at a time when the words ethical and fashion were rarely used side by side, thankfully these two words are becoming so much more familiar in the industry, and at a time when it is needed more than ever. It’s time to reflect, learn and grow. The future is unknown but I’m excited and as optimistic as ever. I want to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to our customers (aka Acey women), it’s been such an honour to be part of your wardrobes around the world. And to all the the incredibly talented people who have helped me build The-Acey, you know who you are. From Monday 30th September 2019 The-Acey will be hibernating. Until then, the end of an era sale will be live online and we’ll be announcing one last hurrah in London.
