Coppa flagra 11 pessoas em comércio ilegal de animais na Bx. do Fiscal Durante a ‘Operação Feira Livre’, guarnições da Companhia Independente de Polícia de Proteção Ambiental (Coppa) flagraram onze pessoas comercializando animais silvestres, na manhã deste domingo (18), na Baixa do Fiscal. Noventa e três pássaros e seis jabutis foram apreendidos. O tenente PM da Coppa Tiago Marcelino Portela explicou que a operação foi montada a partir de denúncias anônimas recebidas pela unidade do comércio ilegal de animais naquela região. “Três guarnições participaram da ação. Esse tipo de crime ambiental, infelizmente, é recorrente, mas estamos trabalhando para combater essa prática”, ressaltou. Carlos Alberto Ferreira de Santana, Fernando Pereira de Miranda, Amilton Batista Miranda, Edvaldo de Jesus Souza, Valdir Farias de Almeida, Joselito Souza Barbosa, Lourival da Conceição, Linaldo Pinto Tavares, Vagner da Silva Sanches, Alexandro Martins dos Santos e Rodolfo Varjão Carolino dos Santos foram apresentados na Central de Flagrantes. Esse tipo de crime ambiental está previsto no artigo 29 da Lei 9.605/98. A pena prevista é de seis meses a um ano de detenção, além de multa. Se a espécie estiver ameaçada de extinção, a pena passa a ser de nove meses a um ano e meio de detenção. This Week in History Building a Global Community President Bill Clinton made his second multi-country visit to Africa in August 2000 joined by Chelsea Clinton. The trip followed shortly after passage of the African Growth and Opportunity Act and focused on regional peacekeeping efforts. In Nigeria, President Clinton met with President Olusegun Obasanjo and addressed the National Assembly. In Tanzania, he attended a peace conference that ended the civil war in Burundi. The trip concluded with a stop in Egypt. During remarks to a joint session of the Nigerian National Assembly in Abuja, President Clinton said, “I have worked to build a new relationship between America and Africa because our futures are indivisible. It matters to us whether you become an engine of growth and opportunity or a place of unrelieved despair. It matters whether we push back the forces of crime, corruption, and disease together or leave them to divide and conquer us. It matters whether we reach out with Africans to build peace or leave millions of Gods children to suffer alone.” President Clinton has continued to work in Africa through the @clintonfoundation’s focus on strengthening health systems and expanding access to life saving treatments; providing farmers with tools they need to increase their incomes and strengthen their communities; and addressing climate change by protecting forests and watersheds and making cities more sustainable. But the push for full statehood is now getting more attention than ever before, in part due to the diligent work of a new generation of activists. “We are a city of Black and Brown people,” 25 year-old activist Ty Hobson-Powell says. “To ignore the racism attached to our lack of statehood would be hard to do.” In August, he brought his message to a national audience when he spoke at the Lincoln Memorial during the March on Washington. He lives in Colonial Village, the neighborhood in Northwest D.C. where he grew up. Ainda contou com a substituição dos antigos torniquetes por um portão automático, a rampa de acessibilidade ganhou novos corrimões e foi readequada aos padrões das normas vigentes. This nearly 30-foot-high portrait of the 18th- and 19th-century African-American activist Sojourner Truth lives on Edison Place, in the rear of Project for Empty Space’s new home on Broad Street which houses a community art gallery and 50 artist studios. Sojourner Truth, Founding Mother commemorates the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment, which gave women the right to vote. A Prefeitura do Natal continua investindo na infraestrutura da Rede Municipal de Ensino. Estão em construção oito CMEIs e cinco Escolas de Ensino Fundamental. Também estão sendo reformadas e/ou ampliadas quatro unidades, e a acessibilidade de seis instituições de ensino. As duas próximas obras que serão entregues à população é o prédio próprio da Escola Municipal Professor José Melquíades de Macedo (Rua das Pedrinhas, 237, no bairro de Nossa Senhora da Apresentação), e um novo Centro Municipal de Educação Infantil (na Rua Manoel Pacífico de Medeiros, em Nordelândia). Ambas já estão com 80% das obras em andamento, com previsão de conclusão para o final deste ano. Programadas para o início de 2021, a SME vai entregar mais três obras de construções das sedes próprias – CMEI Professora Raquel Maria Filgueira (70% concluído), CMEI Professora Cléa Bezerra (60% concluído) e a Escola Municipal Professora zeneide Igino de Moura (70% concluída), beneficiando a comunidade escolar dos bairros de Nossa Senhora de Nazaré, Guarapes e Cidade Nova. A zona Norte ainda vai receber mais dois novos CMEIs e uma escola de Ensino Fundamental no bairro de Nossa Senhora da Apresentação; um CMEI em Lagoa Azul e outros dois centros infantis no bairro Pajuçara, devido à demanda crescente da população. Na Zona Sul, a conclusão do prédio próprio do CMEI Kátia Fagundes Garcia (Candelária) e um novo CMEI no bairro Neópolis. A previsão é que todas essas obras sejam concluídas até o fim de 2021. Só conseguimos realmente saborear o valor da vida, quando somos postos à prova por sensações e emoções que, no nosso dia-a-dia são desconhecidas. Todos nós, temos um momento na vida em que sentimos que nos falta alguma coisa para nos sentirmos completos. Foi em 2014 que senti isto pela primeira vez. Sabia que existiam outros lugares onde realmente precisavam de mim e onde o meu trabalho seria fundamental para a felicidade de outros. Fiz as malas e lá fui eu até à Colômbia para momentos únicos de partilha e solidariedade. Uma das experiências mais enriquecedoras para o ser humano que nos permite ver muito mais para além do que o nosso próprio umbigo. Desse lado, já fizeram alguma acção de voluntariado? Not only does this increase employment in the area and individuals’ ability to support their families, but by having the knowledge to protect livestock, the community is joining the fight for conservation. Monitoring predator movement and building mobile lion-proof bomas is effective in reducing attacks on the people’s cattle as well as making fertile grounds for increased crop yields and thus food security. Sobat praja........kami beberapa kali menerima laporan dari warga adanya anak kecil yang dimanfaatkan orangtuanya untuk mengemis di Perempatan Soka Baru. Untuk menindaklanjutinya beberapa kali kami berpatroli ke tempat itu tapi belum berhasil menemuinya. . Selasa, 7 Juli 2020 kami kembali berpatroli ke Soka Baru dan berhasil menemui mereka. Kami gali informasi sebanyak-banyaknya perihal latar belakang kenapa sampai mengemis. Mereka berasal dari Desa Jladri Kecamatan Buayan tidak jauh dari Pantai Suwuk. Mereka berdua memang kurang beruntung. Anak yang manis dan ceria itu ternyata belum sekolah dan ibunya sudah meninggal sejak usianya 3 bulan. Bapaknya terkena struk dan berjalan pincang hingga kemana-mana menggunakan tongkat. . Apapun alasannya tidak boleh anak dieksploitasi untuk mengemis. Hak anak untuk sekolah dan tumbuh seperti anak umumnya harus diutamakan. Kami melarang bapak itu menyuruh anaknya mengemis dan memberi saran untuk memasukkan anaknya ke panti asuhan. Sayang sekali bapaknya belum menerima saran kami. . Kami akan memantau perkembangan selanjutnya, semoga anak itu tidak lagi mengemis. Kami berharap akan ada solusi terbaik untuk masa depannya.
