The Harry Packer Mansion, is a historic home located at Jim Thorpe, Carbon County, Pennsylvania. The mansion was designed by architect Addison Hutton and built in 1874. It is a ​2 1⁄2-story, three-bay-wide, red-brick dwelling in the Italianate style. The front facade features a verandah constructed of green Vermont sandstone and a bell tower attached to the two-story extension. The Golghar is a large granary in Patna. The Golghar in Patna was intended to be just the first of a series of huge grain stores. In the end, however, no others were ever built. The beehive-shaped structure was designed by Captain John Garstin of the Bengal Engineers, part of the East India Companys Bengal Army. Its construction was completed on 20 July 1786. Built in the Stupa architecture, the building has a height of 29 m. It is pillar-less structure. It has got 145 steps spiral stairway going around to the top presenting a wonderful panoramic view of the city and the Ganges. KONARK SUN TEMPLE Konark is also known as Arkakshetra, Black Pagoda (due to black tower) or Kainapara. Ark (Sun) Kon (Corner) Kshetra (place). Its part of UNESCO World heritage from 1984 n now entrusted to ASI. Its a 13th century Sun temple built by Narasimha Deva I. Its 70kms from Bhubaneshwar n 35kms from Puri. On map it almost forms a triangle. The first pic shows the Audience Hall (128 ft) n not the Main Sanctum (229 ft). The sanctum is erased to ground by Invaders. The other small portions surviving are Dancing Hall (Natya Mandir) n Dining Hall (Bhoga Mantapa). There was 7 horse with 24 wheels chariot among which only one horse survives n few wheels. The famous Wheel depicting the mundane is world famous. It is believed that it took 12 years with 1200 artisans to complete this grandeur. Ironically ASI is doing chemical washing past 12 years! श्री कृष्ण के इस पवित्र तीर्थ स्थल को बना दिया था मस्जिद, एक हिन्दू वीर ने भुजबल से इसे फिर से हासिल किया ... यह हिंदुओ का महातीर्थ द्वारिकाधीश मंदिर , द्वारिका है, पौराणिक मान्यता के अनुसार इस मंदिर का निर्माण श्रीकृष्ण ने पौत्र ने करवाया था । 1472 ईस्वी में इस मंदिर पर महमूद बेगड़ा ने आक्रमण करके इसे मस्जिद में परिवर्तित कर दिया ।। उसके बाद आमेर के राजा मानसिंहजी ने गुजरात पर आक्रमण कर गुजरात मुसलमान सल्तनत को समाप्त किया, ओर द्वारिकाधीश से मस्जिद बने मंदिर को दुबारा मंदिर बनवाया ।। मात्र यही मंदिर नही है, जिसकी रक्षा मानसिंहजी ने की, उड़ीसा का जगन्नाथ मंदिर भी अगर आज मस्जिद नही है, तो वह मानसिंहजी की ही देन है । 1592 में उड़ीसा के जगन्नाथ मंदिर के लिए मानसिंहजी ने उड़ीसा में काफी कत्लेआम मचाया था ।। काशी में हजारो मंदिर बनवाने का जिक्र मानसिंहजी के इतिहास में है, बिहार पटना स्तिथ पौराणिक सूर्यमन्दिर मानसिंहजी ने बनवाया है, भारत का कोई ऐसा कौना नही है, जहां जहां के पौराणिक मंदिर मानसिंहजी में ना बनवाये हो । मीराबाईजी जैसी कृष्णभक्त भी आमेर पधारी थी, उनकी स्मृति में भी मानसिंहजी ने जगशिरोमणि नाम से एक मंदिर का निर्माण किया, जिसमे भगवान विष्णु के साथ मीराबाई की मूर्ति लगी है । हिंदुओ को समझना चाहिए, की मानसिंहजी का इतिहास योजनाबद्ध तरीके से क्यो बर्बाद किया ? आज आप फिल्मों को सनातन का शत्रु मानते है, आपको विचार करना चाहिए, की बार बार क्यो आमेर जयपुर परिवार को ही फिल्मों के माध्यम से बदनाम किया गया ?? बंगाल, बिहार, झारखंड, उड़ीसा, गुजरात हर जगह अपने भाइयो के लिए लड़ने वाले, ओर जितने वाले मानसिंहजी का इतिहास इतना क्यो कलंकित किया गया, की अपने विजेता का नाम लेते भी संकोच करे है 1 - @hindurashtrakishaan on Instagram

कंधार किल्ल्याची उपयुक्त माहिती कृपया नक्की वाचा @maharashtrian_forts किल्ल्याचे नाव : कंधारचा किल्ला किल्ल्याचा प्रकार : भुईकोट सध्याची परिस्थिती : व्यवस्थित जिल्हा : नांदेड श्रेणी : सोपी #पाहण्याचे_ठिकाण : बुरूज, शिलालेख, तोफा, इमारती, महाल आणि टेहळणी बुरुज. #ईतिहास : या किल्ल्याचे बांधकाम राष्ट्रकूट राजा तिसरा कृष्ण याने सुरू केले होते. नंतरच्या काळात हा किल्ला जिंकणार्‍या वेगवेगळ्या राजांनी या किल्ल्याच्या बांधकामात भर घालण्याचे काम केले. इ.स. १४०३ साली तुघलकाने वारंगळ जिंकल्यानंतर कंधार त्याच्या अधिपत्याखाली आले. तुघलकाने याठिकाणी नसरत सुलतान याची कारभारी म्हणून नेमणूक केली. परंतु नसरत सुलतानाने येथे अयशस्वी उठाव केला. त्याच्यानंतर काही काळ खतलब व खतलबानंतर इ.स. १३१७ ते इ.स. १३४० या कालखंडात मलिक सैफद्दौला हा कंधारचा कारभारी राहिला. या किल्ल्यातील मछली दरवाजाच्या डाव्या बाजूला असलेल्या शिलालेखात याचे नाव आहे. हा शिलालेख हिजरी ७४४ म्हणजेच इ.स. १३३६ सालातील आहे. इब्राहीम आदिलशहा याच्या काळातील अंदाजे इ.स. १५९०च्या सुमाराचा एक लेख शाही बुरूजावर आहे तर किल्ल्यातीलच मुहम्मदी मस्जिदीवर इब्राहीम आदिलशहाचा इ.स. १६०५ सालातील लेख आहे. कंधारच्या किल्ल्यातील धन बुरूज, रंगीन दरवाजा व त्याशेजारील इमारती इब्राहीम आदीलशहा याने बांधलेल्या आहेत. धनबुरुजावर अंबारी नावाची तोफ आहे. मलिक अंबर या प्रसिद्ध कारभार्‍यानेही या किल्ल्यातील अनेक इमारती पूर्ण केल्या व बांधल्या. मुहम्मदी मशिदीवर त्याचाही शिलालेख आहे. मुर्तजा निजामाच्या कारकीर्दीत पोलाद खान व घोरी खान यांनी तटाच्या भिंती दुरूस्त करून बुरूज बांधले. औरंगजेबाच्या आदेशावरून मिर्झा हमीदुद्दीन खान याने किल्ल्यात सुंदर बगीचा तयार केला होता. शाह बुरूजावर असलेल्या लेखात या बागेचा उल्लेख बाग-ए-रश्के कश्मीर असा आहे. हा किल्ला १५ एकरात असून त्याच्या भोवती खंदक आहे. रष्ट्रकुल घराण्यात हा किल्ला राजधानी होता. किल्ल्यावर एक टेहळणी बुरूज असून अनेक तोफा अजून चांगल्या स्थितीत आहेत. अशाच प्रकारे रोज एका किल्ल्याच्या माहीती साठी फाॅलो करा @maharashtrian_forts तसेच सर्वांना विनंती आहे कि कोणीही माझी पोस्ट व माहिती copy करु नये. - @maharashtrian_forts on Instagram

● मंदिर क्रमांक 17 पांचवी सदी ईसवी, सांची (मध्यप्रदेश) _______________________ सांची की पहाड़ी पर महान स्तूप के बिलकुल समीप ही स्थित साधारण सा दिखने वाला यह बौद्ध मंदिर भारत मे मंदिर निर्माण कला का प्राचीनतम ज्ञात उदाहरण माना जाता है। यह मंदिर प्रारंभिक गुप्तकाल में निर्मित हुआ। इसमें एक गर्भगृह है और साथ ही गर्भग्रह से लगा हुआ एक छोटा मंडप है जो आगे की तरफ चार और पिछली तरफ दो अर्थात कुल छः स्तम्भों पर टिका हुआ है। मंदिर की दीवारें अलंकृत नहीं है जबकि स्तम्भों पर सामान्य नक्काशी की गई है। इस गुप्तकालीन मंदिर की छत एकदम सपाट है। यह उत्तर भारत मे मंदिर निर्माण का प्रारंभिक दौर था सो मंदिरों में शिखर निर्माण करने की परंपरा का प्रचलन अब तक नहीं हुआ था। - @puratatva_india on Instagram

Sancho Ramírez lo engrandece con capilla real y una comunidad agustiniana en el año 1071. En 1097 la comunidad se instala en el castillo de Montearagón, siendo parcialmente abandonado Loarre. Fue asediado en 1413 durante la Guerra del Compromiso. Before & After: The Ludendorff Bridge at Remagen was in early March 1945 one of two remaining bridges across the River Rhine in Germany when it was captured by United States Army forces. After 10 days it collapsed into the river but by then a sizable bridgehead had been established on the eastern bank of the Rhine. * The Battle of Remagen during the Allied invasion of Germany resulted in the unexpected capture of the Ludendorff Bridgeover the Rhine and likely shortened World War II in Europe. After capturing the Siegfried Line, the 9th Armored Division of the U.S. First Army had advanced unexpectedly quickly towards the Rhine. They were very surprised to see one of the last bridges across the Rhine still standing.The Germans had wired the bridge with about 2,800 kilograms (6,200 lb) of demolition charges. When they tried to blow it up, only a portion of the explosives detonated. U.S. forces captured the bridge and rapidly expanded their first bridgehead across the Rhine, two weeks before Field Marshal Bernard Montgomerys meticulously planned Operation Plunder. Story of an engineer who mortgaged personal jewellery for the construction of a fort - Hiroji Indulkar.⠀ .⠀ After the first loot of Surat, Shivaji Maharaj invested that money in the construction of the sea fort of Sindhudurg to keep a check on British, Portuguese, and Siddis. Hiroji Indulkar was charged with the construction of the fort. ⠀ Hiroji started the herculean task of constructing this sea fort but soon exhausted all the funds. At the same time Shivaji Maharaj was out on another campaign. ⠀ But Hiroji didnt let the construction work stop. He mortgaged his personal gold jewellery, raised the required funds, and completed the fort.⠀ ⠀ When Shivaji Maharaj became aware of Hirojis act, he not only settled the mortgage, but also asked Hiroji to ask whatever he wished for. Hiroji, did not ask for any reward, but a chance to construct the Capital of Maratha Empire.
