#StoryofWonders, Angelikas First Solo Trip in Rishikesh India 2017 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i have soo many memories! First of all i was in a relationship that had worn me out. I had absolutely no self confidence, was afraid to socialise and afraid to travel by myself! But ohh it was amazing! I went to Rishikesh and joined a 200hour yogateacher course and our yoga group is still keeping contact ❤ on some pictures you see us river rafting on the holy river ganga. I cant swim and Im a bit afraid of deep water. With lifewests! We were swimming in the river, I can still remember the mountains surrounding us, the sounds of birds, water and the fresh smell ❤ And of course it happened later that our whole boat flipped up side down, me getting 2 people and a boat on top of me 😂 in that i accidentally punched one of my friends trying to get to the surface 😂 he was totally cool and laughing about it 🙈 it was perfect! To get out of the comfortzone, thinking I would die for 1 sec and then being totally okay 😄 it was the PERFECT thrill! . . . Racismo tapiñado, Es por demás curioso que mucha gente que apoya al movimiento indígena, ve a los “pueblos ancestrales” solo como campesinos, jornaleros (¿quién sembrará tus verduras ?dicen...) peones, shamanes y nada más. ¿Porqué no luchar por verlos como profesionales y empresarios (agropecuarios por ejemplo)?. Hay muchos que se han educado, crean empresa y generan empleo, por ejemplo el pueblo Otavalo, que es reconocido a nivel mundial. Si vemos a los indígenas solo como campesinos jornaleros, “sembradores de nuestras verduras”, estamos siendo racistas, además clasistas y lo peor de todo no nos damos cuenta. En pleno sigo 21 aceptamos como correcto ciertos tipos de esclavitud que nosotros mismo provocamos. Y en realidad estamos luchando por mantener a los indígenas en el mismo recoveco oscuro al que nosotros les hemos condenado, en nombre de la mismísima Pacha Mama Ayudémoslos a crecer, a educarse, a eliminar el machismo y el maltrato a la mujer y los niños, a eliminar el alcoholismo, a desterrar el feminicidio, permitámosles reinterpretar la cosmovisión como una oda a la abundancia de esta tierra y no una palabra esotérica que les condene a vivir en condiciones deplorables y que les exponga a una lucha innecesaria y violenta para que nosotros tengamos alimentos “más baratos”. No los condenemos a ser lo que hemos creído que son, un escudo humano de nuestras marañas mentales de justicia social y reivindicación, que solo sirven para que alimentemos nuestro ego y nos creamos, sin serlo, moralmente superiores al resto.Dejemos ese racismo tapiñado y ese falso egocentrismo que está tan arraigado en nuestra cultura que nos expone a todos a una violencia innecesaria e injusta. ℹ Cabeza clava de la cultura Chavín La cultura Chavín deriva su nombre del sitio arqueológico de Chavín de Huántar, en la sierra peruana. Las impresionantes ruinas de este complejo monumental se encuentran a una alturade 3180 metros sobre el nivel del mar, en la margen oriental de la Cordillera Blanca. Los restos de masivos edificios de piedra en laregión Áncash, ubicados en un angosto valle de la sierra llamado Callejón de Conchucos, captaron la atención de muchos de losprimeros viajeros y estudiosos. A mediados del siglo XVI, un cronista reportó haber visto una inmensa fortaleza con rostros esculpidos en sus muros, y a comienzos del XVII se habló de un oráculo comparable con los de la antigua Roma o de Jerusalén, que habría existido en este remoto valle de la sierra. La existencia de semejante edificio macizo de piedra y de gigantescas esculturas de aspecto extraño, en un lugar tan lejano e inhóspito, resultó ser irresistiblemente fascinante paralos recién llegados del Viejo Mundo. No sorprende que su encuentro con los restos y su interpretación de su antigua función hayan estado configurados por los conceptos que llevaron consigo, no por ignorancia sino porque no tenían alternativa. Cuando las investigaciones arqueológicas comenzaron en América del Sur a principios del siglo XX, los investigadores plantearon la hipótesis de que las altas culturas de los Andes Centrales tuvieron su origen en Mesoamérica. El los estaban convencidos de que las culturas Mochica, Nasca o Tiahuanaco —las únicas que conocían— eran en realidad culturas “clásicas” que notenían ningún antecedente local; la calidad de su arte y de su arquitectura era, con seguridad, una importación de Mesoamérica, el hogar de los logros culturales supremos de los olmecas, y posteriormente de los mayas. 🌠 Teatro di Andromeda, Santo Stefano Quisquina (Ag) Mio padre mi voleva pastore e ho passato la mia adolescenza tra pecore e cani e un solo libro. Scolpivo al lume di una fiaccola (un pezzo di stoffa immersa nella nafta ) e quando le mie narici si riempivano di polvere e di fumo uscivo fuori a respirare sotto le stelle . Una notte chiesi al cielo di farmi incontentabile – mai sazio della mia arte – e sono stato ascoltato. In tanti mi chiedete come è nata l’idea per il teatro … è scritto che “ lo Spirito, come il vento, soffia dove vuole” e ha soffiato qui, dove alla fine degli anni settanta, portavo a pascere le pecore, che stranamente, come prese da incantamento, restavano a ruminare ferme come sassi. Allora ho intuito che da questo luogo fluisce energia positiva, così nei primi anni novanta alzai le prime pietre -non sarei stato più solo. In quel tempo ho saputo che la Galassia M31 della Costellazione di Andromeda entrerà in collisione con la nostra Galassia tra circa due miliardi e mezzo di anni , pensai allora di dare forma a una cavea con 108 pietre ricalcando la mappa delle 108 stelle della Costellazione di Andromeda … Vedi ? Yesterday would have been the celebration of La Preciosa Sangre de Christo, the biggest annual celebration in our community. There are multiple ceremonies, including the feather dance and a procession where the color red can be seen as a significant symbolic element. During this procession, women wear an enredo: a piece of red fabric wrapped around their waist like a skirt and held with a sash. In Teotitlán the red sash and enredo are distinctive garments for the women to wear on specific religious processions. The shades of red come from Béé (cochineal), a living being that provides the precious dye. Historically, culturally, and symbolically, this living red has endured for centuries in Oaxaca. For the Mesoamerican, the color red was an important symbolic element used in various ceremonies, including burials, and had a relation to the sun, blood, and the gods.
