Un #5Jun nació Jesús Soto, gloria de la plástica venezolana y universal⠀ ⠀ Soto nació el 5 de junio de 1923 en Ciudad Bolívar, estado Bolívar, donde en 1973 fue inaugurado el Museo de Arte Moderno Jesús Soto. Falleció en su casa de París, Francia, el 14 de enero de 2005.⠀ ⠀ Quien en 1960 obtuvo en Venezuela el Premio Nacional de Artes Plásticas fue animado por un grupo de estudiantes surrealistas que publicaban en la prensa local para emprender la carrera de artista. El doctor Jacinto Convit nació el 11 de septiembre de 1913 de la unión de Francisco Convit y Martí, inmigrante catalán, y Flora García Marrero, venezolana. El 19 de septiembre de 1932 empezó sus estudios en la Escuela de medicina de la Universidad Central de Venezuela. Cinco años más tarde recibió el título de Bachiller en Filosofía, y optó por el título de Doctor en Ciencias Médicas presentando el trabajo Fracturas de la Columna Vertebral en 1938. Sin embargo, su experiencia en el área sanitario-epidemiológica empezó un año antes cuando siendo aun estudiante fue invitado por Martín Vegas, profesor de dermatología en la Facultad de Medicina, y Carlos Gil Yépez a visitar la leprosería de Cabo Blanco ubicada en el departamento Vargas del Distrito Federal. Una vez que se graduó fue designado médico residente de esa leprosería, donde trabajo entre los años 1940 y 1943. Se desempeñó además, como director ad honorem de la Cruz Roja en La Guaira. Siempre se sintió conmovido por la estigmatización sufrida por los pacientes que sufrían de lepra, y trabajó por y con ellos. Hasta 1942 su lucha consistió en el aislamiento y tratamiento de los enfermos en los llamados leprocomios que dependían de la Dirección de Asistencia Social del Ministerio de Sanidad y Asistencia Social (MSAS). Posteriormente, fue médico director de las leproserías nacionales, luego médico director de los Servicios Antileprosos Nacionales, y después médico jefe de la División de Lepra, con lo cual tenía la responsabilidad organizar toda la red nacional de lucha contra la lepra. Su vida la dedicó a la investigación científica. Siendo uno de sus mayores logros el desarrollo de la vacuna contra la lepra en 1987. I am happy to see my photo project „Kandaka – Women of the Sudanese Revolution“ as one of the 50 selected works at the @lumixfestival. In this project I share the experiences of five women from different backgrounds who participated in the Sudanese revolution that overthrew the regime of Omar al-Bashir last year. Based on their memories we created portraits and reenacted situations together. In addition, I documented objects and places that were of special importance for the protagonists. . 1 - Nagda Mansour: End of June 2019, I took part in a demonstration against the Khartoum massacre. Suddenly snipers started shooting. I was almost hit, but luckily I managed to escape through a hole in the fence. Together with other women and I ran to the next building- a hospital. We found a hiding place and heard the people outside being shot and beaten by the military. We were sure they would catch us, beat us and rape us, but luckily they didnt find us. 2 - I remember a big womens demonstration in Khartoum. Hundreds of people were protesting together on the street. After a long march, it started to rain but we kept walking in the direction of the sit-in. When we arrived the revolutionaries started chanting: Even if it rains, we will stay! All those people were so full of life and energy. At that moment, all my fears disappeared. Its painful, but true: nature couldnt beat this guys, but bad cops could. . 3 - In Dec. 2018, I was arrested with 21 women at the presidential palace when we asked Bashir to step down. We were treated better than ordinary criminals but it was still hard. Bats hung from the ceiling; ten of us in a 25qm cell; it was a struggle to get soap. We didnt know how long we would be imprisoned, so we looked for ways to deal with a long incarceration. When they set us free after 75 days, everyone tried to take along a memento. I took this comb. ومازال الأغبياء يسألونك من أي قبيلة أنت ؟ لا تحدثني عن ثروة أي بلد وأهله مشحونين بالحقد والعنصرية والمناطقية والجهل والحروب . نيجيريا من أكثر الدول غنى بالثروات والمعادن ومن أكبر دول العالم المصدرة للبترول ولكن أنظر إلى حالها ووضعها والسبب أن الإنسان فيها مشبع بالأحقاد العرقية ومحمل بالصراعات !!!! فيما سنغافورة البلد الذي بكى رئيسه ذات يوم لأنه رئيس بلد لا توجد فيه مياه للشرب ..!! اليوم يتقدم بلده على اليابان في مستوى دخل الفرد ...!!؟؟ في عصرنا الحالي الشعوب المتخلفة فقط هي التي مازالت تنظر لباطن الأرض ما الذي ستخرجه كي تعيش ...!!؟؟؟ في الوقت الذي أصبح الإنسان بحد ذاته هو الاستثمار الناجح والأكثر ربحاً . هل فكرت وأنت تشتري جوال جلكسي أو أيفون كم يحتاج هذا التلفون من الثروات الطبيعية ؟ ستجده لا يكلف دولاراً واحداً من الثروات الطبيعية !! جرامات بسيطة من الحديد وقطعة زجاج صغيرة وقليل من البلاستيك ولكنك تشتريه بمئات الدولارات تتجاوز قيمته عشرات براميل النفط والغاز والسبب أنه يحتوي على ثروة فكرية تقنية من إنتاج عقول بشرية ...!!!؟؟؟ هل تعلم أن إنسانا واحدا مثل بل غيتس مؤسس شركة مايكروسوفت يربح في الثانية الواحد 226 دولارا ؟ هل تعلم أن أثرياء العالم لم يعودوا أصحاب ثروات طبيعية ؟ وإنما أصحاب تطبيقات بسيطة على جوالك؟ هل تعلم أن أرباح شركة مثل سامسونج في عام واحد 327 مليار دولار ؟ نحتاج لمائة سنة لنجمع مثل هذا المبلغ من الناتج المحلي ...!!؟؟؟ أيها الواهم بأن لديك ثروة ستجعلك في غنى دون الحاجة إلى عقلك ! دع عنك أوهامك فلا ثروة مع عقلية الثور . هُزمت اليابان في الحرب العالمية الثانية وفي أقل من خمسين عاماً انتقمت من العالم بالعلم والتقنية وبقي الأغبياء يسألونك عن مذهبك أو من أي قبيلة أنت !! العالم الجيولوجي العراقي (فاروق القاسم) - @qa9m_ on Instagram

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with the new Iraqi Prime Minister, Mr. Mustafa Al-Kadhimi. I congratulated him on forming his new government. We discussed the importance of addressing the demands of the Iraqi protestors, as many sacrificed their lives to fight for a more equitable future. We spoke about the need to include Yazidis, other minorities, and women in government positions in the new Iraq government. I illustrated the urgent need to search for and rescue the thousands of still missing Yazidi women and children. We also spoke about the need for a dignified return for Yazidis who are still internally displaced through the restoration of basic services in Sinjar and support for local governance and security in Sinjar. MUHİTTİN İLE HAVVA Bugünün Antalya Konyaaltı’sında, o günün Uncalı orman köyünde dünyaya gelen Muhittin Böcek, Endüstri Meslek Lisesi’ni bitirmiş, askerliğini yapmış, Kemer’de otobüs şoförü olarak işe başlamıştı. 1988’de bir düğünde, çalıştığı otobüs durağının bile sahibi olan Kemer’in en zengini Hasan Minta’nın kızı Havva’yı görüp aşık oldu. Hikaye öyle başladı. Bu tam anlamıyla zengin kızla fakir oğlanın aşkıydı. Çünkü Muhittin Böcek otobüs şoförüydü, Havva’nın babası Hasan Minta ise turizmci, otobüsçü, toprak sahibi bir zengindi. Muhittin’in çalıştığı durak, Havva’nın evinin de yanındaydı. Muhittin için artık durakta sıra, Havva’nın evin dışına çıkışana bağlıydı. O evin önünden geçerken havalı kornayı öttürmek en büyük zevkiydi. Havva da sık sık kapı önüne çıkıyordu. Hasan Minta’nın kızı ile konuşmak yasaktı ama da bakışmalara yasak konamazdı. Muhittin sonunda kararı verdi. Pek çok büyüğüne, Sevdalandım. Allah’ın emrini sen yerine getir dedi, ilk başka Ne demek hemen yanıtını aldı ama kızın Hasan Minta’dan isteneceğini öğrenen, Ben yokum diye kenara çekiliyordu. Muhittin, hangi cesaretle Minta’nın tek kızını istiyordu? Sonunda ağabeyinin kayınbabası işi üstlendi, bir perşembe günü Minta’nın karşısına çıktı; ama hayır yanıtını aldı. Annesi sordu Havva sessiz kaldı; bu Evet, seviyorum demekti. Babası kızını aldı, gitti Muhittin’in köyüne, Havva’ya orman içindeki bir evi gösterdi; Bak kızım o evde yaşayabilecek misin? dedi. Havva yine sessiz kalınca babası dördüncü perşembe teslim oldu. Ama söz yüzüğü takılana kadar birbirleriyle hiç konuşmadılar, yüzükler de ayrı yarı yerlerde takıldı. 19 Kasım 1989’daki nişandan sonra bu hasret bir ölçüde bitti. 1990’ın 11 Nisan’ında da düğün olacaktı. Kız tarafı evi döşemeye başladı. 4 Nisan’da düğüne bir hafta kala baba Minta kızıyla mobilya bakmak için Antalya’ya doğru yola çıktı.
