Happy friyay to all my furry and non furry friends 👩🏼🤝👨🏻🐶🐱 Nacho is feeling much better! We were worried for a few days since he refused to drink and eat his food 🤷🏻♀️ But we gave him some boiled chicken and Biola. That helped and he is now drinking water again! Such a relief 🥰 His energy is basicly back to normal and we have gone for some short walkies as recomended by our vet. We also had some problems with getting his band aid off 😳 We had to buy band aid remover to get it off his skin. But all in all his recovery is going so well! I stereotyped corgis, and I almost missed out on this incredible life because of it. I didn’t want a corgi. I wanted a big dog: “give me a Shepherd, give me Rottweiler, give me anything but a Corgi.” Lance kept trying to tell me about them— but I refused to listen. I refused to see past my stereotypes. I thought that corgis were nothing more than dwarf-sized, lazy, couch potatoes. I didn’t want that in a dog. I wanted nothing to do with them. I was so close to dismissing them as an option entirely...until Lance said, “Just meet one.” I begrudgingly agreed and I did. I met a corgi...and every preconception I had about the breed was shattered in the span of 30 minutes. They are wicked smart, full of energy, and packed with personality. They are big dogs with larger than life personalities stuffed into short bodies. The stereotypes the internet portrays for these dogs is flat out wrong in every way. Within those 30 minutes, I fell head over heels for Corgis. ...and I’ve been falling ever since. (Clearly) Moral of the story: Don’t let stereotypes tell you what to think.
