🧵 Cosplay & Drag 💋. . I have now won “Best in Show” at two major Costume Competitions for my crossplay costuming: Lady Tremaine in 2018 at ECCC and now Glinda in 2020 at Dragon Con. I’m proud of these achievements for my own hard work, but also because I hope they give visibility to the very large queer culture that exists in the cosplay community. These wins are for those that don’t let the assumed gender of the character or themselves hold them back. They are for the kids like me who dreamed of being more than what they were told was acceptable. That blue was for boys and pink for girls. Screw that.
