It’s been a busy bank holiday weekend for the volunteer crew at Port Isaac RNLI with three shouts. The first was at 16:15 on Friday 28th August to reports of individuals in difficulty near rocks at Port Gaverne. Port Isaac inshore Lifeboat (ILB) was quickly on scene and established that the individuals were safe and well with the call to the coastguard being made with good intent. At 14:06 on Sunday 30th August the ILB Pride of Port Isaac (Goeth Porthusek) were called to launch to Tintagel to reports of eight persons cut off by the tide. Boscastle Coastguard and CG rescue 924 were also in attendance. Whilst travelling to the scene Falmouth Coast Guard reported to the lifeboat that all the casualties had managed to wade back to shore, were safe and well and we could stand down and return to Station. The crew were barely back at the station when the pagers again went off at 14:55 with Falmouth Coastguard requesting that our volunteer crew proceed to Trebarwith Strand to reports of two surfers in trouble. Port Isaac ILB arrived on scene and were redirected to a couple on the beach. They confirmed that they were the subject of the emergency but were now safe and well and didn’t need any help. Port Isaac lifeboat return to Station. If you are concerned about anyone in or around the water please dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard. Nouveau délai pour les immigrants en République Dominicaine Le chef de létat dominicain, Danilo Medina, a accordé un délai dun an aux étrangers inscrits au programme de régularisation. Le Ministre dominicain de lIntérieur et de la police, José Ramón Fadul, a annoncé que le Président Medina avait donné son accord pour la prolongation de la carte de régularisation migratoire temporaire dune durée dun an. La carte accordée à plus de 143 000 ressortissants haïtiens arrive à expiration entre 17 juillet et décembre 2016. Les autorités dominicaines accordent cette prorogation, sans frais supplémentaires, aux personnes inscrites dans le Plan National de Régularisation des Étrangers (PNRE). Les migrants, inscrits sans passeport au PNRE, bénéficiant de cette prorogation navaient pas été en mesure de compléter tous les documents exigés. M. Fadul a laissé entendre que la disposition à été adoptée afin de tenir compte des difficultés financières des ressortissants haïtiens à fournir les frais de dossier. Les frais de renouvellent du permis réclamés par les services dimmigration avoisinent les 300 dollars américains. De plus, les autorités dominicaines ont pris en compte les remarques des ressortissants haïtiens faisant état du retard du gouvernement haïtien à délivrer des passeports. Les haïtiens inscrits au PNRE avaient réalisé la semaine écoulé un sit in devant lambassade dHaïti afin de protester contre le retard dans la livraison des passeports. Ils assurent avoir versé les frais de 1 000 pesos pour la production des passeports. Daprès le ministre dominicain cest la meilleure disposition pour donner une ultime chance et le temps nécessaire aux migrants haïtiens pour compléter leurs documents. He was promoted to Rear Admiral in 1862, reassigned to Washington, DC and administrative duty. Goldsborough had a long career in the US Navy. Liebe Mitarbeiter und Kollegen, liebe Potsdamer, liebe Gäste, seit mehr als einer Woche liegen unsere Schiffe nun im Technikhafen und warten darauf, wieder auf den schönen Havelseen zum Einsatz zu kommen. Die Anordnung der Stadt Potsdam ist vorerst bis 19. April gültig und wir alle hoffen, dass danach langsam die Beschränkungen gelockert werden können. Unsere Mitarbeiter sind in Kurzarbeit und warten auf das ersehnte Startzeichen! Währenddessen haben wir alle bisher möglichen Unterstützungen von Seiten des Bundes, Landes und Kommune angefordert und versuchen die Flotte über Wasser zu halten. Noch sind die erhofften Hilfen nicht angekommen, aber wir sind guter Dinge. Wir möchten diesen Post aber auch nutzen, um Danke zu sagen. Ein herzliches Dankeschön geht an alle Mitarbeiter der Weissen Flotte Potsdam, die mit großem Verständnis auf die angeordnete Kurzarbeit reagiert haben und mit uns gemeinsam durch diese Krise gehen. Wir freuen uns auf Euch und die Zeit, wenn wir den Schifffahrtsbetrieb wieder aufnehmen dürfen. EM MEIO A PANDEMIA Meses após o grande acidente com um navio graneleiro de Minério em São Luís-MA vimos ocorrer na Baía de Guanabara-RJ um acidente com a barcaça RIO PORT I que fazia o transbordo de minério, nesse caso de ferro gusa, para um navio graneleiro que estava fundeado no local. Mas por que o navio estava sendo carregado no meio da Baía de Guanabara e não no cais do porto? Há alguns anos o Porto do Rio iniciou as operações de exportação de minério de ferro gusa ao exterior, porém tal minério não é extraído do município do Rio de Janeiro e o Porto do Rio muito menos estava preparado. Foi feito investimento para armazenagem no cais, próximo onde hoje fica a Roda Gigante, para o trem vindo de Conselheiro Lafaiete-MG descarregar seu minério no porto. A operação de transferência de minério começa no Porto do Rio com o navio atracado no cais, porém conforme o navio é carregado (e ganha peso) é preciso desatracar pela restrição da profundidade no local pois o porto não foi projetado para esta demanda. Na fase final de carregamento do minério, falta completar os porões do navio, que ancora no meio da Baía de Guanabara onde há maior profundidade. As barcaças com o restante do minério são carregadas e fazem a transferência através de guindastes dos próprios navios NO MEIO DA BAÍA DE GUANABARA. Foi durante a última fase da operação que a barcaça RIO PORT I sofreu uma avaria em um porão naufragando na área de fundeio em minutos, sem feridos, porém com grande quantidade de combustível, 3 pás mecânicas e cerca de 6 MIL TONELADAS de ferro gusa que faltavam pra completar o carregamento do navio. Não a toa, os botos cinza da BG existiam na ordem de centenas antes dos anos dois mil e agora são menos de 40 botos resistindo nas águas. Além disso, você sabia que a nossa baía apresenta a sexta maior diversidade de Elasmobranchii (tubarões e arraias) do mundo? Vimos o acidente com o Navio na costa do Maranhão, mas o quão longe estamos desse risco no nosso quintal, onde desenvolvemos atividades com o Stand UPET? Quantos acontecem e não tomamos conhecimento? Selama 12 tahun ini, KRI SIM 367 telah mengabdi dengan mengarungi hampir setengah belahan dunia, melaksanakan 2 kali operasi perdamaian dunia di Lebanon, operasi diplomasi ke negara-negara Asia Pasifik, operasi penegakkan kedaulatan dan hukum serta keutuhan wilayah NKRI di seluruh penjuru nusantara, serta 3 kali latihan penembakan Rudal Exocet MM40 Blok II dan III, sampai dengan beberapa operasi kemanusiaan di negeri tercinta ini. A message from our first mate Merle on behalf of the crew Yesterday we arrived in Scheveningen after more than 80 days at sea, sailing the Europa across the Atlantic Ocean from the Southern tip of Argentina to the Netherlands. And what a welcome we received! It is hard to describe the feeling one might have when coming back to land after such a long time away, not knowing how the world might have changed in the months that have passed. This voyage was unexpected to everyone and the reason behind it not a happy one, the future unclear. And even-though we had a wonderful time and a lot of fun, most of us spent the very last days of this trip with mixed feelings; happy to go home and see our families but also a little bit afraid to leave our safe (and Corona-free) Europa bubble. But all that was forgotten as we sailed through the piers and found that so many friends and loved ones had made their way to Scheveningen to welcome us home What a wonderful surprise! We would like to thank everyone for all the support and the lovely messages that we were sent during the last 12 weeks and for the simply amazing welcome (especially for all the fresh fruits that we longed for so much!! :-). Thanks to everyone who came to Scheveningen and thank you to all of you who stayed safely at home and followed us via the live-stream. Толбухіна, що в Шевченківському районі столиці. За викликом негайно виїхали наряди поліції, слідчо-оперативні групи Головного та територіального управлінь поліції та представники інших профільних служб», - йдеться у повідомленні. Уточнюється, що жінку у непритомному стані госпіталізували до лікарняного закладу, де вона згодом померла. Зазначається, що при огляді речей потерпілої виявили посвідчення співробітниці посольства США на її ім’я. Тож наразі у лікарняному закладі та на місці події слідчі і представники інших профільних служб проводять першочергові слідчі дії, встановлюють свідків та очевидців, а також обставини, за яких жінка отримала тілесні ушкодження. Правоохоронці встановили, що до побиття жінки може бути причетний чоловік, якому на вигляд 30-40 років, зріст 190-200 см, одягнутий у чорні шорти, темно-сині кросівки та футболку, з темним волоссям (по боках коротко підстрижене). Тривають його пошуки. Наразі зібрані відомості за цим фактом зареєстровані у Шевченківському управлінні столичної поліції. Parte 3 y final: Este proceso llegó a su clímax con la cesión de títulos de dominio a agricultores de la zona, para la construcción de los denominados “Huertos Familiares”. -Las consecuencias de una nueva fase de modernización capitalista en nuestra comuna- Las reformas neoliberales propias del capitalismo que patrocinó la dictadura durante la década de los ochenta, impulso una profunda reestructuración de la geografía económica de nuestra comuna. lo que mercantilizó el acceso a la vivienda e impulso nuevos proyectos inmobiliarios, similares a los gatted communities (barrios cerrados) norteamericanos, lo que intensificó la segregación urbana de nuestra comuna . Unido a lo anterior, se experimentó un proceso de privatización de servicios básicos y aislamiento de familias pobres en sectores de viviendas sociales. Ejemplos de ello son los procesos de tomas de terreno y erradicación en sectores como la candelaria, Boca Sur y San Pedro de la Costa, que según sus propios vecinos: “Los llevó de sectores pobres hacia terrenos polvorientos y escondidos” . Conclusión De la revisión histórica del proceso de conformación de la desigualdad en San Pedro de la Paz, se extraen varias lecciones medulares. La primera, es que la morfología territorial de la comuna, respondió en primera instancia, a un proceso modernizador del capitalismo, en el que prevaleció el criterio económico sobre el social. Por su parte, el modelo de desarrollo económico hacia adentro, produjo los mayores avances arquitectónicos y de calidad de vida, para los vecinos de nuestra comuna, contrario a lo que ocurrió en dictadura, donde se acrecentó la desigualdad y se repitió el patrón que precarizó y segregó a las comunidades más pobres, perpetuando así las distancias con los grupos históricamente más privilegiados. A modo de reflexión final, cabe destacar que la conciencia de esta brecha, genera un componente subjetivo de desigualdad, que lleva a percibirla como una permanente afrenta a la dignidad personal de los que la experimentan. 📟 Saturday 6th June 2020 📟 Whilst on patrol yesterday the team were asked to visit Dover Harbour to offer words of advice to 2 kayakers who had been recovered by the launch Dovorian having been swept across the harbour. On returning to patrol we were then tasked to a yacht anchored off Hythe which was causing concern. Dover Lifeboat was launched and although on arrival the occupant seemed fine, the decision was made with him to tow him back to Dover Harbour for his safety, given the weather conditions and particularly as he was struggling to make comms with the CG Operations room should he have needed assistance. We met him at Dover Harbour to offer words of advice ensuring he communicates with the Coastguard re his intentions and has all the necessary equipment for his voyage. This year marks the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, which took place between July and October 1940. The 15th September 1940 was officially declared Battle of Britain Day as it was the day when RAF Fighter Command claimed a decisive victory over the German Luftwaffe. To commemorate the anniversary this year, Mayor of Ashford Cllr John Link took part in services at Great Chart and Egerton on Sunday 13th September and paid tribute to those who lost their lives defending Britain. Le 27 janvier 1968, le sous marin la Minerve coule au large de Toulon avec 52 personnes à bord. ⚓ Chaque été, lorsque jallais à Toulon et quon était sur un bateau, je me disais quils étaient peut-être pas loin de nous... 🌊 Un sous marin qui disparaît, quon ne retrouve pas, cétait un mystère et ça me fascinait. Jai demandé aux libraires de la ville, si il y avait des documents sur cette histoire à lire, rien! Et en juillet 2019, je lisais les infos sur mon tél et je vois : La Minerve, brisée en trois morceaux repose bien au large de Toulon, par 2.370 m de fond. Lattente a du être insupportable pour les familles mais le plus triste cest quévidemment il ny aura ni corps, ni ossements retrouvés. Today marks the 56th Anniversary of Independence of Malta from the United Kingdom. As you may well know, Malta has had a complex history which resulted in the island being ruled by many different foreign powers. (This is what makes visiting Malta so interesting).
