In 1906, John Wesley Wolfes family moved into the cabin at Wolfe Ranch. His daughter, Flora, took several photos of her family that document their time on the ranch, which was later incorporated into Arches National Park. Flora used her camera to chronicle family memories and capture the striking landscapes in the area. This photo she took is believed to be the first picture of Delicate Arch. #TBT #FindYourPark #EncuentraTuParque #FindYourVirtualPark 📷NPS - @archesnps on Instagram

- Here is a top look view of the an ROV scan of the German Königsberg class light cruiser Karlsruhe. By the look of the bow it seems to have broken off during sinking as a part of it lays on the barrels of the foward gun turrent, I hope this is okay since I wanted to help people with the bow theory.

NASAs Curiosity Mars rover spotted this dust devil with one of its Navigation Cameras around 11:35 a.m. local Mars time on Aug. 9, 2020 (the 2,847th Martian day, or sol, of the mission). The frames in this GIF were shot over 4 minutes and 15 seconds. Taken from the Mary Anning drill site, this dust devil appears to be passing through small hills just above Curiositys present location on Mount Sharp. The dust devil is approximately one-third to a half-mile (half-a-kilometer to a kilometer) away and estimated to be about 16 feet (5 meters) wide. The dust plume disappears past the top of the frame, so an exact height cant be known, but its estimated to be at least 164 feet (50 meters) tall. Contrast has been modified to make frame-to-frame changes easier to see. For more information about Curiosity, visit http://mars.jpl.nasa.gov/msl or https://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/msl/index.html. #Nasa #RoverCuriosity #Mars #MarsRover - @92drago1 on Instagram

“Go then, there are other worlds than these.” I find myself coming back to the Dark Tower over and over again. The worlds that Stephen King transported me to bleed into my work on a regular basis. With #AdobeDimension I feel like Im even closer to bringing those worlds to life. If you have any sci-fi or fantasy book recommendations please hit the comments, I need as much escapism as possible with the current state of the world. Hyvää Itämeripäivää! Itämeri on loputon inspiraation lähde myös muotoilussa. Monet saaristossa vietetyt kesät näkyvät muun muassa muotoilija Timo Sarpanevan töissä. Ensimmäisessä kuvassa Nukkuva Lintu -taide-esineitä (1957) on kuvattu meren rantakivillä. Kuva on vuodelta 1960. Saaristomeri kaikuu myös muun muassa Sarpanevan suunnittelemien lasisarjojen Arkipelago (1980) ja Jurmo (1980) nimissä (kuvat 3 ja 4). Toisessa kuvassa Sarpaneva on purjehtimassa 1970-luvulla (kuva, Pietinen). Designmuseon Itämeripäivän ohjelmaan pääset tutustumaan tarkemmin bion linkistä. Koko loppuviikon 27.-30.9. Taito Cafe tarjoilee Itämeri-lounasta, Design Shopista saat eSärkeä näyttämällä alennuksen Sakke Yrjölän kala-aiheisista tuotteista ja lisäksi Designmuseo tarjoaa kolme itämeriaiheista digi-työpajaa kotona toteutettavaksi. #designmuseo #itämeri #itämeripäivä #itameripaiva #design #finnishdesign #inspiration #timosarpaneva #sarpaneva #arkipelago #jurmo #meidänmeri #saaristomeri #designpaja #designpajaperheille @designmuseoshop @taitocafe - @designmuseo_fi on Instagram
