Team — this hits close to home with me. A1C Elizabeth Jacobson wasn’t just the first Security Forces Airman to die during Operation Iraqi Freedom, she was also the first woman in the Air Force to be killed in that conflict, and she was 21 years old. Liz was a well known and loved member of Team Goodfellow. A photo of her was beautifully framed by my wingman, Chief Thomas Good, and hung proudly in the Command Chief Office in the 17th Training Wing, where it still hangs today. I also framed her photo in my office at the pentagon...as a daily reminder of “why” I serve and to “whom” I serve. Today marks the first day of #HispanicHeritageMonth. In the 17th and 18th centuries, when European nations were colonizing North America, Spanish controlled Florida became a place of freedom. In 1737, Spanish officials began enforcing royal edicts from 1693 and 1733 granting freedom to those who fled British colonies and who were willing to convert to Catholicism. Males searching for freedom in Spanish-occupied Florida also needed to complete a term of military service. Francisco Menéndez successfully escaped from his enslavers in South Carolina in 1724 and made his way to Saint Augustine. He eventually settled in the town Gracia Real de Santa Teresa de Mose, formed in 1737 and colloquially known as Fort Mose. Here, he was quickly named a leader in the Black militia. He defended Fort Mose during multiple attacks - including an attempted attack by the then Governor of Georgia. After the Seven Years War, Spanish-occupied Florida was ceded to the British. Many freedmen, including Menéndez, fearing being enslaved once more, fled to Cuba. Today, Fort Mose is a site on the Network to Freedom. It is a National Historic Landmark, and multiple organizations work to protect its sites and stories. Идея родилась как всегда спонтанно и звезды сошлись. Мало того, что снимал актрису Алёну Казанцеву, так ещё в в кольчуге работы самого Сергея Микульского!!! 🔥👍 Да, и у нас был легендарный меч Викинга. Смотрели фильм? . Кое что у нас пошло не по плану. Мало того, что съёмку пришлось перенести на утро из-за прогноза погоды, так оно за подготовкой перетекло в полдень. И дым-машина приказала долго жить, и солнце из-за туч вышло. Прелесть! Во всей красе... Фотографы поймут мою боль. . Ну и думаете нас это остановило? Конечно нет! Мотор!😁 Ахах))) . Стоп! Снято!👏👏👏 Ну а потом чай, дружеская беседа, обсуждение планов. GUERRA DOS EMBOABAS (1709) Ocorreu em Minas Gerais e teve como causa a luta pela posse das minas entre paulistas e Emboabas (forasteiros). Como a descoberta de ouro no Brasil, muitos Portugueses e populações do litoral, que estavam decadentes devido ao declínio da produção açucareira, dirigiram-se para o Sertões de Minas Gerais entrando em conflito com os descobridores das Minas (paulistas) para exploração das jazidas. O primeiro incidente aconteceu entre o paulista Jerônimo Pedroso de Barros e o reino (português) Manuel Nunes Viana, em Caeté. A nomeação do emboaba Manuel Nunes Viana como Governador das minas irritou os paulistas, pois se sentiram lesados, começando, então, violentos choques: atacados pelos Emboabas e chefiadas por Bento do Amaral Coutinho, junto ao Rio das Mortes, depois de resistirem, os paulistas cercados se renderam, mas foram traídos. Foi o episódio do Capão da traição (1708) onde morreram 300 paulistas. O governador do Rio de Janeiro D. Fernando Mascarenhas de Lencastre tentou acabar com a luta, mas não teve êxito (1709).
