What a woman she was 🏆 Vale the extraordinary Helen Reddy and her amazing anthem “I am woman”. I had the profound honour of performing this song for the first @cityofsydney womens only event in 2016 with legends like @gloriasteinem Senator Penny Wong @leigh_sales @clovermoore Professor Larissa Behrendt and a host of extraordinary women, and I realised how really beautiful her song is. It’s not angry, its not bitter - it’s simply proud, strong and pro equality. 2 years later when we were celebrating Aussie female musicians in the Comm Games Closing ceremony in honour of medal equity for the first time in history, I tried to get this song included, and like the initial record execs 50 years ago, it was deemed inappropriate / too angry by the final (male surprise surprise😂) decision maker - geez I wish I could have had the final say (on this and MANY things!) and included the first EVER Australian Grammy award winning songwriter. Luckily I got to do it again that year with @therealkateceberano @auntyzozo & @sophiekohmusic for the inaugural @womeninmusicaus 🏆 Anyhoo, amazingly, the first 2 Aussie Grammys were won by women - Dame Joan Sutherland and then Helen a decade later. WOW. Thank you to women like Helen and Merle Thornton and co who paved the way for so many women. It really is amazing to see the power of the gut starting to be recognised across the world❗ BUT with that comes the bandwagon effect... enter the spread of false information, along with fad products and even books filled with quackery, all to make a quick buck😔 . The reality is, whether its your neighbour, hairdresser, favourite artist or DJs, everyone has their own personal experience of nutrition and gut health, which means its all too tempting to hand out advice. Sadly some people have a way of positioning themselves as experts and giving the impression of credibility, even when theyre totally unqualified. They might say theyre backed by or have spoken to registered dietitians and scientists, but do they really get everything reviewed by nameless experts? Unlike registered clinicians, people arent legally obligated to tell the truth. Some even claim to be associated with a university, but keep in mind anyone can be a study participant😉(check out our website under research to get involved). . THE TRUTH is gut health is complex and its easy to misinterpret or oversimplify the science, so much so that its at best meaningless, or at worst outright dangerous. I havent studied and worked my butt off as a dietitian and research fellow in the gut health field for 10+ years to let unqualified jokers try hijack the real science and manipulate it for their own profit. I am protective of you guys, you deserve the facts not the fads! . So please protect yourselves, always check your sources and seek out highly trained professionals. Here are some questions to keep in mind. . ▪️ What are their credentials? Are they a registered dietitian or registered nutritionist themselves with specific qualifications or training in gut health, or are they just trying to exploit the trend? . ▪️ Are they making broad claims or giving advice without explaining the science or mentioning a clinical study? . We cant completely stop junk info being shared (we have freedom of speech after all!) but we can demand better and be smarter with who we listen to. В моём же случае люди каким-то волшебным образом сами появляются и остаются рядом, а те, кто не на одной волне, сами идут другим путём. Одинаково люблю общаться с простыми деревенскими жителями и теми, кто достиг вершин карьерного роста или бизнеса. И всегда с любовью в сердце храню тех, с кем давно не виделась, либо общаюсь только в Интернете, но имею общие ценности. Olivia Kang MMus/20 Alumni Spotlight! As soon as she came to Winnipeg, Kang threw herself into the Manitoba community. Kang’s bell-like soprano voice, comedic acting abilities, and massive stage presence have made her a favourite for diverse roles. She received her Bachelor of Music from the University of Seoul, Kang spent several years teaching voice. While she loved working with music students, she realized that she wanted to continue her own training; Kang’s passion for music was reignited, and she applied and auditioned for her Master of Music at the University of Manitoba, studying with Tracy Dahl. “Olivia has the voice of an angel and the soul of a seeker,” says Mel Braun professor of music and vocal area head in the Desautels Faculty of Music. Being healthy means more than eating well. Sure, I believe plant based is a great way to longevity. However, I won’t function unless I get my sleep, a daily walk along some green grass, or weekly cycling trip through nature somewhere- it doesn’t have to be far. Also, I like photography, art and travel. And I can’t do without love. Some of these things are easier than others to tank up on. Point is, finding balance is something we all have to work at. So my health advice this weekend would be to keep in mind that life isn’t one-dimensional, spread it out. #WOWOW 開局30周年記念作品「#連続ドラマW　#コールドケース３ ～真実の扉～」  昨日解禁された第３話のゲストの皆様のコメントをご紹介💡  【#有村架純 さんコメント】  以前のシリーズも拝見させていただいたのですが、映像、カット割り、どれもとても質の高い作品だなと思っていました。見るととても面白くて、役者さんのお芝居もシナリオも魅力的で。ワンカットの臨場感があるシーンも、撮影監督の山田康介さんが一緒にお芝居をしてくれているような感じで、それが作品に反映されているのだと思いました。なかなか普通のドラマでは作れないスケールの大きい作品だと思います。時代を跨いで作品を紡いでいくスタイルの作品は少ないですし、しっかりとその人の背景が目に見えて分かるからこそ、物語に引き込まれるのだと感じます。現場は最初緊張するんじゃないかなと思っていたのですが、（撮影監督の）康介さんも羊さんもいらっしゃるので、なんだかすごく懐かしいというか、以前からいるような感覚で（笑）。たった１話分の出演でしたが、それぐらい自分にとっては居心地の良い現場でした。過去の大女優を演じるにあたり、“説得力”が一番心配でした。当時の女優さんの佇まいは、やっぱり時代によって変化しているものですし、生き方、構え方の貫禄を出すにはどうしたらいいのかと考えました。ですが、若き美沙は２２～３歳という年齢なので、まだ等身大の部分もある少女感と女性との狭間というか・・・だからそこまで大きく見せようとは思いませんでしたが、姿勢や笑い方など、そういったところを意識しながら演じていました。    【#岩田剛典 さんコメント】  今回は城本という、大女優・貴船美沙を支える役柄を演じました。第３話のサスペンス部分の核となるとても重要な役だったと思います。劇中ではラブストーリーの要素もありましたが、現代パートにもその流れがしっかりと活きるよう、６０年前の当時の城本と美沙を真摯に描けたらいいなと思いながら演じました。撮影自体は数日だったので、監督のディレクションを一番に頼らせていただきました。美沙役の有村さんとは（当時）初共演だったのですが、現場でたくさん気遣っていただき、大変演じやすかったですし、本当に優しい方だなと感じました（笑）。現場では他愛もない会話もたくさんすることができ、演じた物語は切ないものではありましたが、そのような中でも二人の空気感を反映できたのかなと思います。さらに、アメリカから取り寄せていただいた白黒フィルムでの撮影にもテンションが上がりましたね！これは過去パートだけの特権なので、贅沢な撮り方をしていただいて嬉しかったです。髪型や服装もオーバーサイズのシルエットだったり、時代に合わせた特徴的な物なので、そういう世界観の中に飛び込めるのは刺激的でした。時代劇の経験もなく、昭和の設定も初めてだったので映画館などレトロなロケーションでの撮影も楽しかったです。この第３話は「コールドケース」シリーズの真骨頂であるサスペンスドラマ要素がありつつも、その中で徐々に真実が明かされていくにつれて、とても切ない純愛が見えてくる話になっています。こんなにまっすぐな人間を演じたのは初めてかもしれません。ぜひ楽しんでいただければと思います。    【#松原智恵子 さんコメント】  女優の役”を演じるということが、長い女優人生の中でも初めての経験でした。かつての美沙のパッと若い感じ、かわいらしい感じも残しつつ、現代となった今も女優として生きる姿を演じることができるのは、とても面白い役だなと思いました。昔、自分が女優を始めた頃なんかも少し思い返しながら、一貫してこの役に共感できるなと感じました。若林さん演じる城本は美沙にとってはいつも一緒で、もうなくてはならない存在になっている。美沙と城本、２人の間にはお互いにしか分からない関係性と絆があるんだと思います。３話の“女優”として、ゲストとして、精一杯演じましたので松原智恵子を見ていただければと思います。また脚本が瀧本智行さんなのもとても光栄でした。仕上がりを大変楽しみにしております。    【#若林豪 さんコメント】  今回「コールドケース」に出演させていただき、すごく新鮮でした。脚本をいただいた時も、フランスドラマのような雰囲気のあるストーリーだと感じました。普段は刑事役が多かったりするので、今までやったことのないような地味な役ではありましたが、美沙との２人の間にも甘酸っぱさがあって、いままで２人でいろいろなことを乗り越えてきた、そんな雰囲気が出ていればと思います。松原さんとはもう何度も共演させていただいたことがあるので、今回もこの役でまたご一緒させていただけたのが嬉しかったですね。物語のとっかかりや入りはとても渋くて、途中からがっつりと物語が大きく動いていく、そんなうねりのあるストーリーなので、きっと皆さんにも楽しんでいただけるのではないかなと思います。   #皆様の反響が嬉しくて仕方ない公式 #大女優の悲恋 #それを献身的に支えるマネージャー #ホント泣けます #有村さんと岩田さんは本作の撮影時点で初共演 #当時のファッションにも注目 #35ミリの白黒フィルム #現場でテンション上がる岩田さ - @coldcase_jp on Instagram
