Busy today mixing up orders but I wanted to get the ball rolling for the autumnal reveals. The date for the next stock is TBA still but itll probably be next week. So... CRAIGH NA DUN FACE OIL! This scent will be a favourite with Outlander fans, who might recognise the name from the circle of standing stones that work a strange sort of magic, but also, with anyone who likes fresh, herbaceous scents in general! Craigh na Dun features a base of rain-dampened heather and chamomile flowers-- gentle and enduring, with heart notes of sage and fresh rosemary, with the faint aroma of an apothecarys shed, with other drying spices hanging from the ceiling. The face oil is made of a combination of eight different oils (which you can read more about in our Face Oils highlight) and this will also have rosemary and other plant extracts to boost in helping reduce inflammation and redness and soothe chronic skin conditions. This scent is not too floral, sweet or musky, so the fresh greenery is an ideal gift for anyone (including yourself!) - This restock will be a bit different in that Ill be pre-making the items (the autumn trio of perfumes and six face/hair/skin products that all stand as individual) so theyll be ready to ship much quicker (if you stick to items in the restock!) Quem acompanha continuamente por aqui sabe que fantasias e ficções científicas são meu fraco (ou meu forte), então é natural que muitas das discussões que trago sejam de livros do gênero. Muitas pessoas questionam a relevância social de ambos, então vim trazer alguns pontos onde podem ser úteis. ⠀ A ficção científica inspira cientistas. Isso mesmo, a curiosidade humana é aguçada pelas ideias mirabolantes dos autores. Muitas coisas já foram replicadas da literatura e do cinema, como chips subcutâneos, inteligência artificial, ética na tecnologia e no design. Tecnologias como o submarino, o satélite e até mesmo a internet vieram antes na ficção científica e graças a curiosidade humana se tornaram realidade (fonte: jornal Nexo). Há algum tempo estamos em uma onda da FC onde o alvo são as estruturas políticas e sociais, questionando, remoldando e colocando aquela pulguinha atrás da orelha de quem a lê, tornando-se fonte de questionamentos importantes. ⠀ Os livros de fantasia, assim como os de FC estimulam a parte do cérebro responsável pela criatividade. Ao mesmo tempo que faz paralelos com a realidade e ajuda na absorção de novas perspectivas consideradas não normais. A fantasia tem o poder de impactar não só politicamente, mas emocionalmente. Muitos estudiosos da literatura, filosofia e diversas outras áreas buscam explicar a importância da ficção para a humanidade. Alguns argumentam que o desuso da imaginação, do irreal, poderia prejudicar a saúde física e mental de um indivíduo, ou seja, a prática do imaginário poderia chegar a melhorar sua qualidade de vida. As most know, the original BOOMBOX location is in Downtown Lake Charles. We are lucky to have received minimal damage, but we are saddened by the state of our area. Many other local businesses did not fair as well as we did. This was found among the mess and debris in one of our employee’s home. A nod from the 1980s to 2020. We will get through these tough times. Amidst chaos there is still greatness. The ability of our SWLA community to come together shows us that there is much hope for a better future. As for now, the only BOOMBOX location open is in Baton Rouge. We have even moved all production from Lake Charles to Baton Rouge. 🇧🇷 Meus boxes de livros (3/3) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ E aqui está: o mais novo box da estante! Eu não hesitei em comprar ainda no primeiro dia da pré-venda, mesmo pagando R$210, em julho. Mas como Deus é maravilhoso, na SubDay consegui comprar por R$162 com os descontos, então cancelei o primeiro e economizei bastante. Também já tinha vendido os meus antigos, o que ajudou a cobrir mais da metade do novo valor. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ O box é sem dúvidas o mais lindo da estante. As capas são iguais as avulsas (que eu amo, acho nossas capas as mais lindas do mundo), mas a folha é melhor, em Pólen Soft. Não sabia disso, e foi uma ótima surpresa. A caixa também parece suficientemente resistente. Amei os marcadores e os cards e claro, a mochila! Achei-a espaçosa e confortável e discreta.
