Вон чего нашли в дневниках! Как началось кругосветное плавание: ⠀ 2 сентября 2015 У всех заканчивается яхтенный сезон. У нас же все шиворот-навыворот. Каникулы мы провели дома, на суше. А в начале сентября все только начинается. Это время для меня всегда – время новых стартов. Капитан улетел сегодня на яхту. Лэди Мэри уже заждалась свой экипаж на Канарских островах. Андрей будет готовить лодку к Транс-Атлантике и дальше. Докупать и устанавливать дополнительное оборудование и к 30 сентября покидать Лас Пальмас де Гран Канария. ⠀ С 1 октября марины Канарских островов готовятся принять яхты и яхтсменов, спешащих поучаствовать во всемирно известно трансатлантическом ралли для крейсеров ARC по маршруту Лас Пальмас, Гран Канария – Санта Лючия, Карибские острова. Все места в маринах выкуплены чуть ли не весной. Поэтому план на октябрь - переход на Эль Иерро, поднятие судна на берег и обдирно-покрасочные работы недели на три. Каждый год с днища необходимо счищать образцы местной фауны и флоры и красить корпус необрастающей краской по ватерлинии. Иначе хвост из ракушек и водорослей будет существенно замедлять ход и навевать мысли о затонувших пиратских бригантинах. ⠀ Мы планировали делать это вместе с капитаном, но обстоятельства задержали остальную часть экипажа на берегу еще на месяц-другой. И Андрею придется отдуваться одному. Мы же пока готовимся к отплытию на несколько лет. Табор уходит в море В связи с этим принято непростое решение превратить наш дом в Горном Алтае в... гостиницу @hotel_pryanichny_domik ⠀ Все личные и особо ценные вещи зарываем в саду и параллельно собираем тюки с детской одеждой навырост. #TipsTuesday: Packing lunches and getting your kids ready for school is never an easy task, but Ive picked up some tips & tricks along the way that might help you, too! I have an infant and preschooler who go to daycare & school a few days a week, otherwise, theyre home with me. On top of that, my oldest is starting virtual school from home - oh, and she has celiac. All while Im managing working from home myself! In these crazy times, heres what I do to make sure everyone is fueled for busy days: 🥪Revisit some of your childhood favorites: a PBJ (or substitute peanut butter for sunflower seed butter), an apple and some carrots are a great base. If your child likes hummus, or another type of spread to dip their veggies and fruit in, I recommend purchasing tiny dressing containers from the dollar store to put them in. 🍲As most of us head into cooler days, insulated containers filed with warm soups and chilis make for a very satisfying lunch without needing to be heated up, even for the littlest toddlers or your older baby. For baby, I recommend draining most of the liquid and squish the softer bits of food for them to eat with their hands. 📋There will be some nights where you dont want to pack lunches beforehand, so having a general idea of what you want to pack in the morning can help. A list stored on the refrigerator with some of your kiddos favorite lunch items can be very helpful for the last-minute-packs. 🧒If your child is five or older, I recommend allowing them to pack their own lunch! 𝐒𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 🍪🥣 🟦 = 🇨🇦 ⠀ 🏭 @cinnamontoastcrunch Firstly, Sugar Cookie Toast Crunch is fittingly festive. 🎄 (Just check out the beautiful box art! 🤩🤩) ⠀ The scores of sugar crystals remind me of snow. ❄️ ⠀ These are bolstered by a buttery base and vanilla notes to recreate the sugar cookie experience. ⠀ Because I’m 𝐾𝑒𝑣𝑖𝑛 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝐶𝑜𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑖𝑠𝑠𝑒𝑢𝑟, I ℎ𝑎𝑑 to try both versions at the same time to see if there was any difference. 🤓 ⠀ Hypothesis—Canada (CAN) would be sweeter since per 100g, it has 31g of sugar, while the US has 29g. ⠀ 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝟭—𝗗𝗿𝘆 🍪 You’ll notice there are significantly more sugar crystals visible for CAN [📸 3]. ⠀ For the first 90% of each bite, CAN was also slightly sweeter of the two, as predicted. ⠀ However, at the final chew, the US had a sudden sugar rush. 📈 ⠀ 🥊 Round 1 goes to 🇨🇦—I preferred CAN’s consistent sweetness. ⠀ 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝟮—𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗸 🍪➕🥛 Most of CAN’s flavour washed away. 🌊 ⠀ Conversely, the US’ flavour was still super strong. 💪 ⠀ 🥊 Round 2 goes to 🇺🇸 ⠀ 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝟯—𝗘𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗸 🥛 CAN’s end milk was very mild, surprising since the milk absorbed most of its sugary coating. 🤷🏻♂️ ⠀ Meanwhile, US’ end milk was still surprisingly strong, despite retaining most of its incredible flavour after being submerged. ⠀ This heavenly liquid was vivaciously vanilla, and the perfect way to top off each brilliant bowl. 🤤 ⠀ 🥊 Round 3 goes to 🇺🇸 ⠀ ̲𝐖̲𝐢̲𝐧̲𝐧̲𝐞̲𝐫 🏅 by K.O. Well that was a success! Fred couldn’t WAIT to get out of the front door this morning wearing his “new shoes” and literally ran alongside me as we walked across the road to his new nursery. The running then slowed to a wobbling walk when I strapped his school rucksack on for these photos and upon entering the early breakfast club he happily shouted “GOOD MORNIN’!!!” to the children and staff (individually 😂) before sitting down and choosing a pear. I had been told that I could wait up to an hour with him in the playground so that he settled in but seeing as he was so happy (and desperate to leave the dining hall so he could go to the nursery at the back of the building) the teacher suggested I leave them to it. I got a big dribbly kiss and a “GOODBYE MUMMY!” and that was it! Reisen, aber ohne weiteren Flug. Das war die Challenge nach unserer Weltreise. Für einen letzten Kurztripp des Jahres sind wir deshalb mit dem Zug nach Venedig gefahren. Ab Zürich gibt es einmal täglich eine direkte Verbindung, sechseinhalb Stunden dauert die Fahrt, doch die Jungs und wir Eltern sind anscheinend noch immer reiseerprobt. Die Fahrt verging ohne grosse Irritationen 💪🏻. . Venedig hatte seit längerem auf unserer Wunschliste gestanden, und nach all den Überschwemmungen in diesem Herbst waren wir natürlich gespannt, was uns erwartet. Die Stadt ist aussergewöhnlich, mit nichts zu vergleichen. Mit den neuen Gummistiefel war die Stadt auch sehr gut zu durchlaufen (manchmal eher zu durchwatscheln 🦆). . Eine richtig gute Entscheidung haben wir bezüglich Kinderwagen getroffen. Wir waren nicht sicher, ob Jarin (und wir) bereit sind für buggyfreies Reisen. Gott sei dank haben wir den Wagen zuhause gelassen: Es wäre ein Desaster geworden mit dem vielen Wasser 🙈 Venedig hat uns fasziniert, trotz Nebensaison waren viele Touristen unterwegs - wir möchten nicht wissen wie es immer Sommer ist! Dennoch war es sehr angenehm. Wie man so Venedig vorstellt, so schön ist es auch - die Stadt hat unsere Erwartung mehr als erfüllt. Aber das viele Wasser in den Gassen macht uns auch nachdenklich.
