Sure I’d been on a kayak before but never on my own & surely wasn’t in charge of rowing (being the diva I was 😂). I had the best afternoon rowing my little kayak, getting soaked (oops) & walking around fields afterwards till my clothes got dry. So my friend, have you caught the magic of something ‘new’ recently? We remember the big things, but I want to hear the small ones even more so...when you noticed “I’ve never walked on this side of the road before!”, a new flower in the garden, you did your makeup differently, you let yourself finish work early this Friday. I was asked today on facebook: but @laurakmoore_ where do you find the time? ... last week we shared the B2B facet of our new spruced up website www.laurakmoore.com. While weddings and portraits are our bread and butter, I shared a new compartment of what I/we do. Its not new. Its been in the works for a while. I ended up responding with a little more heart stuff and wanted to share some guts behind the grandeur. I have no desire to walk this entrepreneur path faking things or presenting something inauthentic--a slippery slope of social media and all of its entangled web of expectations. Keeping things simple and honest...⁠ ⁠ To the question: where do you find the time.... ⁠ ⁠ i get this question a lot. :) so much about productivity is about efficiency and prioritizing tasks. But i also am constantly wrestling with balance and living life. someone once said there are people who work to live and people who live to work. I LOVE to work. Its in my blood. finding the RIGHT work with the RIGHT people doing the GOOD things for the BEST yes is deeply life-giving. without getting too preachy or anything -- i might say that the question how do you find the time prompts to help people find the time or better yet use time better. :D its a big part of the initial coaching strategy. lol // yup...that sounded preachy. During our event there were some local artists exhibiting their works on the second and third floors... we had some amazing installations, paintings and more... Some of the artworks were presented here for the very first time, for example Grande Madre by @maudi75 and the performance by Mariarosaria Iadevaia ... I’m talking about the magnificent dress, painted by @maudi75 for his solo show, cancelled due to the sanitary emergency. A heartfelt thank you to all artists taking part in this collective exhibition. Thank you to all those who helped in the project ! It’s wasn’t just about pasting up, but also about cleaning and setting up the venue! The venue is huge ... 4 floors, each floor has hundreds of square meters! There was a lot of cleaning! You can’t imagine how much! Thanks to everyone who contributed ❤️Grazie di cuore a tutte le persone che hanno aiutato nella sistemazione degli spazi! Il forte di Sarzanello (Sarzana, La Spezia è stato costruito su modello di Francesco di Giovanni di Matteo detto il Francione (1425-1495) e di Luca del Caprina tra il 1492 e il 1502 su una preesistenza fortificata della prima metà del XIV secolo al tempo del signore di Lucca: Castruccio Castracani (mastio centrale quadrangolare). E un forte triangolare con agli spigoli tre torrioni rotondi e con un grande rivellino a forma triangolare inserito in un profondo fosso asciutto trilobato. Rappresenta nel campo delle fortificazione di transizione l’applicazione delle teorie e dei modi di costruzione del fronte bastionato a puntoni rotondi a pianta triangolare indicate nel Trattato sullarchitettura militare di Francesco dì Giorgio Martini (disegnati anche da Giuliano da Sangallo nel Taccuino Senese: fortificazioni triangolari: stellari) e attuati sia dal Francione (sua ultima opera fortificata dopo Sarzana), sia da altri componenti della sua bottega fiorentina. Jule hätte kaum noch geglaubt, den Trisuit in dieser Saison noch mal in einem Rennen tragen zu können... Aber recht spontan meldete sie sich zum mz3athlon im baden-württembergischen Steinheim an. Obwohl ihr die extrem kurzen Formate gar nicht liegen... 😉 Aber bei diesem tollen Wetter ☀️ und dem durchdachten Konzept des Veranstalters sowie den vielen strahlenden Gesichtern der Teilnehmer machte es einfach nur Spaß. Und das Motto Mit Abstand einzigartig passte absolut. Ungewöhnlich waren aber vor allem die gemischten Startgruppen, die entstanden, weil man sich seine Wunsch-Startzeit aussuchen konnte - hatte man so doch gar keine Orientierung, wo man sich im Vergleich befand. 😉 Aber so war es etwas das eigene Rennen gegen die ⏱️ - aber mit ganz viel Spaß und das zählte. This was a moment to remember. It may not look so high and impressive in the photo but this was a freaking scary climb! At least 30 min tackling this tree together was such an important lesson than a whole week in school. Ce nouveau sentier double losange pour experts seulement compte plus d’une dizaine d’obstacles, en majorité des sauts – dont un aileron de requin (shark fin) – ainsi que des crans rocheux (slabs), sur près de 600 m de parcours. La piste sera officiellement ouverte dès le vendredi 28 août pour tous les amateurs de sensations fortes. La piste a été nommée La Tremblante en référence à la légende des Premières Nations qui désignaient ainsi l’actuel mont Tremblant ou Manitonga Soutana qui signifie montagne des Esprits ou du Diable. Let’s talk for a minute about EMOTIONAL BROTHERHOOD. I’m tired of pretending like we as men can’t share love and feelings with each other. Yeah, I’m serious. Guys, we need to start giving ourselves PERMISSION to be vulnerable with MEN. In the last few months(?) I’ve entered into a space where I’ve felt comfortable sharing my joy and struggle with @jalenbazile which now has begun to spread to various other men in my life. I can’t seem to explain or put into words how important this is for us men. And in the example we create for young boys. Brotherhood is a strange concept for us to grasp, as men we are conditioned to prevent ourselves from being close with other men, for fear of being ridiculed, called out, or [insert any belittling term here]. @nprhiddenbrain puts it quite well in The Lonely American Man, “By the time boys become men they don’t have any friends or anyone around them. They find that they’ve become trapped by a series of unspoken rules, that if you’re a man you’re supposed to be strong and independent. If you connect deeply, especially with other men, it’s probably because you’re gay. If you crave deep emotional bonds, well, that’s just unmanly.” We as men have heard this all too often, and this needs to stop immediately. Our fate with friendships, work, and relationships rest on this perception and the self-limiting beliefs around this conditioning. So this message is for all you men and boys out there. Let’s try to understand one thing. Allow yourself to feel and love. To be warm and energetic with your fellow “bros.” Love openly. Because, honestly, this is how we find more joy in life. Такой чудесный выходной! Хоть я и сопротивлялась сначала, ещё за месяц до гонки.. тк предвкушала, что будет происходить с работой в этот момент, с логистикой снаряжения и тд, но спасибо @dimafreehiker , что просто взял и принял мужское решение, а @d.dumato с @ankinmedvedeva , что позвали и организовали👏🏻 . Narva Watman- дуатлон, проходящий по самой границе между Эстонией и Россией (по реке Нарва). Ощущения нереальные-вот буквально 100 метров, а там уже Европа, другая страна, язык и люди. Но они недосягаемы🤷🏻‍♀️ . Далее 20 км борьбы на воде в гребле на байдарке. После этой гонки было принято твёрдое решеное брать для гонок соответсвующие болиды, а не 50-кг танкеры, как у нас 🙈 Если честно, я даже представить не могу, как мы полетим на нормальной лодке. Силищи у @dimafreehiker столько, что мы нагребли на 3 место 💪🏻 . Завершение гонки - 20 км на велосипеде вдоль реки по лесу, лужам и Ивангороду. Саааамый кайфовый участок, который на своих фэтах мы проехали с большим удовольствием. По уши в грязи, но довольные как слоны 🤗 . Were almost finished our first week back to homeschool and WHEW I am exhausted! Anyone else? New schedules, new studies, and LOTS of new hurdles this year. Add in my home based natural preschool and Im teaching 9 kids in 5 different grades!! But I always say its better to be challenged than to be bored, so I am loving our new routine.
