An emotional morning for us with Mia starting her first ever day at school! . Due to the social distancing of COVID, we had to leave her at the entrance of the school, where she would then walk off down the corridor and into her new classroom, all alone. For a mind of a 4 year old, you’d think a wobble would be imminent, but she cuddled us, smiled and with her head held high, marched off without even a flinch of a head turn. . July 14th, 2007 - the day I saw her for the first time, I knew with absolutely clarity that there was something special about this girl. I was only 13 then, but I knew I wasnt being presumptuous; for there is this voice from within that still validates that thought to this day. Strong & Determined af! and those eyes!!!
