September 8th 2020, marks the 86th anniversary of the S.S Morro Castle disaster. The ship beached itself on the shores of Asbury Park. This vessel was coming from Havana, Cuba to New York. During the voyage it caught fire and burned, killing 137 passengers and crew members.
