....... I was obsessed with the road and all the bullshit that it entailed. Sometimes to a fault. Never wanted to cancel a show even when it was playing to nobody, because I always hoped that the bartender or sound guy (if there was one) would tell someone about ATDI. @metallica, @larsulrich and Master of Puppets started all my dreaming. Years later @queensofthestoneage and Sparta were on tour together in Europe and @troyvanleeuwen and I were at a bar after one of two shows in Paris and ran into @tommorello while ordering. Audioslave was also in Paris playing! I asked Tom “who was behind the velvet ropes” and he Metallica was. I looked at Troy and said you have to get me back there. He knew @robtrujillo and got us back there. The first person I met was @kirkhammett. After speaking for a sec, I was in shock that he knew who the hell I was. Every childhood dream coming true. Moments later I met Lars and he invited us to a show the next day. They were doing a press run for Some Kind of Monster and were playing 4 shows in one day all around Paris. I got off stage at the venue we were playing at the next night, changed, and Paul and I took a cab to a venue where ATDI had played years before and we watched Metallica start the show with Blackened. Paul and I were on cloud nine. Later we got spend the whole night with Lars and crew at a bar. I think we got back to our hotel right before lobby call so we could catch a plane to Sweden to play a festival. That day I met @prongtheband. Another band I obsessed with as a kid. This was long winded, but it all popped into my mind after I saw this Metallica coffee book again. - @tonyhajjar1 on Instagram

35 years ago today Roy took part in the benefit concert for American farmers, Farm Aid. During the 1980s, American farmers were struggling as America had been hit by the worst economic conditions since the Great Depression. When Bob Dylan performed at Live Aid on July 13th 1985, he said to the crowd at the JFK Stadium in Philadelphia, I hope that some of the money thats raised for the people in Africa, maybe they could just take a little bit of it, maybe … one or two million … to pay the mortgages on some of the farms. Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp found inspiration in Dylans statement and they set up, in just six weeks, their own benefit concert. And on September 22nd 1985, over 50 singers performed, at their own expense, at the 14 hour concert. The line up included the Beach Boys, Johnny Cash, Bon Jovi, Glen Campbell, John Denver and Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers. After completing the Class Of 55 album, Roy and his band travelled down to Illinois to perform at the concert. He sang three songs, Crying, Mean Woman Blues and Oh Pretty Woman. Even though Roys voice was a little shaky, as he was still recovering from getting Bronchitis and Sinusitis the year before, the crowd still went wild for him. In more ancient millennial news…it’s the 25th anniversary of Hackers next week, so I wrote about the costumes for @garage_magazine and talked to the film’s costume designer (and legendary rock n’ roll stylist) Roger K. Burton @contemporarywardrobe! When Hackers came out, I was a teen coming off the fashion high of one Cher Horowitz, still trying to procure the ideal plaid skirt set, not knowing that I’d soon be trying to convince my mom to let me get my helix pierced like Angelina Jolie’s Hackers character, Kate Libby. Angelina would soon become a style and life icon of mine. (I would even do an informative speech on her in class at some point and bring in my Gia VHS to play a scene.) Her silver armour ring, by Chicago-based jewelry brand Marché Noir, became a sort of holy grail to teen-me, and I ended up getting one (from Hot Topic) and it became one of my signature accessories. (I even wore it to prom with a pink, tulle princess dress and white Doc Martens.) This didn’t make final edits, but I loved Burton’s story about how Angelina’s iconique pixie haircut came to be: According to Burton, Jolie was not 100% on board with doing the movie at first. “I was sent over to actually try and, you know, talk her into it basically,” says Burton. He came over with mood boards and talked about his work on music videos with David Bowie, and she began to warm up to the idea. “It was like a light bulb kind of went off all of a sudden,” says Burton. “She said, ‘Well, obviously, I cant have long hair. Im gonna have to have a really good haircut.” Burton also directed me to this INCREDIBLE Hackers fan site called @hackerscurator. At first I thought it was from the ‘90s, it looks so authentic! The site’s founders, Erik Meredith and Jenn Werkhoven, collect and recreate many of the costumes and props from the movie. Erik made an exact replica of Cereal Killer’s yellow Motorola pager and Jenn even has same kind of rollerblades Angelina uses. This happened on this date Saturday Night Live . I wanted to have a projection of Mt St Helens erupting behind us. In ode to the Northwest and to where were are from and the marking of history and nature. That day i kept my inner sadness about Ian Curtis to myself , 15 or 16 years earlier he died on that day the day of Mt St Helens erupting actually first time i cried about someone i didn’t know. On a cool aside though I remember looking at Don Pardo’s tea steeping next to his reading glasses and newspaper in his vocal booth. If i could paint its one i would do for sure. The history and the professionalism talk about steeped!!! That booth was so exact to the second even the steam rising was on time and welcomed into the light shining down. Such a nightly ritual. He. wasnt in there but his stuff was. We actually had a skit that was cut from the show too hahaha That night was the last time we saw Jeff Buckley. At the end of the show you can see me lift my arms over my head and if you do that with your shadow it makes an eye. La Ley es el tercer álbum que grabó el grupo chileno del mismo nombre con la compañía Polygram Fue lanzado el 6 de febrero del año 1993 Durante la promoción de este disco la banda tuvo su primer contacto con México🇲🇽, en el marco del intercambio cultural tras el arribo de la democracia al país andino. El primer sencillo fue la canción Auto Ruta, censurada en varios canales de vídeos por su fuerte contenido explícito🤔( en su momento) El disco causó además expectativas a nivel de prensa. Las locaciones, se dieron en las afueras de Miami Beach, Florida, EE.UU..🇺🇸 donde los integrantes de la banda actuaron🎭 como protagonistas en el vídeo. La canción Tejedores de Ilusión, cuya letra , se inspiró al cambiar de canal y topar con el canal cristiano, en donde la banda criticaba los valores que promovía aquel canal de TV. El video de la canción, fue grabado en Valle Nevado (Chile) en lo alto de una montaña. La canción tiene una carga nostálgica y melancólica muy grande, y eso se demuestra cuando, se le utiliza durante los homenajes que se le rinden a Andres Bobe 🎸después de su trágico fallecimiento. Este disco fue sin duda en el que la banda experimentó en su mejor época, además los vídeos de los sencillos evolucionaron la forma realizar los videoclips de rock en español. They replaced KL 12 4111 and KL 12 4222 with KL 11 N 9329 and KL 11 N 9330 . Later they sold both permits and buses to TT Travels. They rebuilted the buses and changed into glass body with a yellow livery. After some years the diamond team took back the permits. KL 11 N 9330 had an accident and cases were going on. Till then only KL 11 N 9329 was in service. Later Vayujith team bought the permit from them and replaced 9329 with KL 55 E 5499 and changed into Super Fast permit from LSOS. Later they sold to Blue Diamond(Haris) and he replaced the vehicle using KL 45 J 6696. From 2008 to 2016 only one permit was operating ,so they could operate only on alternate days. They stopped the service when ksrtc took over the permit. Now they replaced the vehicle using KL 18 Q 3969 and operating Thrissur-Kozhikode LSOS only - @6_wheelers_club on Instagram
