When I started my journey 5 years ago, I thought I’d lose all my weight within 1-2 years. I was so frustrated with my slow weight loss that I started to over exercise and under eat. I was constantly comparing myself to others on social media and I was confused why I couldn’t lose weight FAST. I created extremely unhealthy habits for myself. I was diagnosed with PCOS and things started to make sense. I started to shift my focus on my mental health and physical strength, rather than a number on the scale. I let go of the burden of losing weight and looking a certain way to please others. I won’t lie and say that it’s easy. I go through ups and downs. Recently during quarantine, I gained more weight. I started eating a lot of takeout because it was so easily accessible. I started noticing my physical appearance change and started to think negative thoughts about myself. I had to snap myself out of that mindset. Just because I’m not focusing on weight loss doesn’t mean I should just eat whatever I want and not workout. I want to be the healthiest version of myself mentally and physically! I always say to love yourself at ANY size but sometimes that can be hard when we are constantly told we need to look a certain way. I’m telling you that you don’t! Your worth is not determined by how you look or a number on the scale! I’m grateful to be able to be strong enough to complete #bbgzeroequipment workouts. I maxed out my scale at 375 pounds. Flashing lights and error sign. Extra long tie that barely fit. Size 24 dress shirt. Difficulty getting in and out of sedans and side stepping through doors. Slip on shoes. Unable to fit into a booth at a restaurant. This was my life for a many years. I remember that error sign on the scale. I wasnt upset. I was resigned. I thought What does it matter that Ill soon be 400 pounds?! My 5XL shirt was already getting tight. ⁣ ⁣ A diet that was mostly processed food. A lot of soda, chips, candy, etc. A lot. Eating just happened. I was completely disassociated with what went into my mouth and into my body. I ate to eat. It was about volume and getting to that full stage. All day, everyday.⁣ ⁣ It was awareness that led to my weight loss. I was simply eating too much and what I was eating lacked the nutrients my body needed. Over a few years of conscious food choices and some movement I shed 200 pounds. I went from that size 24 dress shirt to a 15, which means 9 of neck. ⁣ ⁣ This is part of my story. Im not embarrassed by it. Going through this journey has shaped who I am today. Its why I post what I do. Ive gained a deeper understanding of myself, food, and holistic health. I share so that others can understand me a little better and see that physical health isnt about restrictions and strict rules. Its about feeding your body and mind and that food is good for you. Strength, love, kindness, thrust and truthfulness are just some of the qualities they have and taught me. I am so grateful and humble to have them in my life. So from that famous night to surgery day, it was less then 9 weeks. Easiest most difficult decision ever that brought me to live the most amazing hard year ever. What a difference 10 years can make. In the left photo I was a Sophomore in college, getting ready to go to my college cheer winter banquet. I was about 20/21, in the process of joining a social all male fraternity and fresh out of living in the dorms and in a new apartment complex. I knew internally at this point that I was transgender, but would never let the idea be more than a passing thought. The next few years would be some of the greatest but also saddest years ive lived through. Greatest because I was able to learn so much about myself, about the world, furthered my education, met some of my closest friends in life. Saddest because I struggled with depression, was often angry over nothing but in retrospect was deflecting my own internalized anger I had with myself for neglecting my own truth of who I was. During the next 5 years I did a lot of soul searching, processing the idea that in order for me to live I would have to transition. I was in so much fear because I knew trans women were discriminated often and murdered for simply existing. I would wake up crying and in tears. On the outside i knew I had to act like I was okay and happy, but internally I was having the biggest war that I did not know how to fight on my own. The photo on the right was me yesterday, after a busy shift. Thriving, loving, learning, happy, growing and existing as my truest self. I dont know where I would be if I did not have the support of my friends, family and specially my mother. I have never been a fan of before and after photos, until a few years ago when I had a trans teenager reach out to say seeing before and afters from transition gave them hope for their own transition. To my trans siblings out there struggling to transition, have hope for a better future. Believe and love yourself so deeply, yes the journey will be difficult but I promise you it will get better. - Just wanted to share my 6 month progress pic and how happy I am about it! I cant stop smiling everytime I see myself in the mirror. Thats 60lbs of fat gone! For anyone out there struggling with self-esteem, youre beautiful. Dont ever let anyone tell you differently.

- Left pic 107kgs right pic 77kgs. Took 8 months. First month was juice detox (no solids) 2nd month was mix of juicing and food & then 3rd month I started IF 16/8 with organic eating & exercise everyday. Fast forward 5 months, 30kgs lighter. IF is amazing. Anything is possible! Consistency & mentality

- So first I went through a phase where I wanted to be a scene kid so bad. I remember this girl who I went to school with and she was just so pretty I thought, she had blue hair, wore tons of makeup and smokes cigarettes. I wanted to be like that!!! Secondly, I’m not even sure what I’m wearing.....

- F/28/5’3” [322 lbs 142 lbs = 180 lbs] I weigh 5 lbs more after they removed 5 lbs of loose skin 17 days ago thanks to swelling, but I’m still loving this dress!!!

- No good full body before pics because I would wear huge coats and hide from photos. Didnt know how much 20lbs off of a 53 frame would make a difference
