How do you toast the twilight? ✨ Sound 🔊 for tranquil waves💧 ⠀ When we drove out to Presquile two weeks ago, we got turned around trying to find our campsite 🏕 After a few twists, our car emerged facing Lake Ontario right at twilight 😲🌟 I was so overwhelmed by the sheer beauty of this vast expanse of dusky lavender and egg shell hues, that I knew we needed to get back out there and enjoy it properly (and not while panicking over the incoming darkness and need to set up camp 🙃)⠀ ⠀ It took a lot of ice, but we managed to keep our 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟖 @featherstonewinery 𝑬𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑹𝒐𝒔é cold for 2 days in anticipation of our little journey. Against the dwindling light, the gentle roar of the lake, skipping stones, this stellar blend of Cabernet Franc (42%) 🌹 Gamay (26%) 🌹 Pinot Noir (24%) 🌹 and Merlot (8%) 🌹 was the perfect way to just soak in the present moment. The full corn moon that arrives tomorrow is having an amazing impact on the fishing with @liamwhetter and I catching/raising 9 muskies in 4 1/2 hours. The harvest moon, on the other hand, arrives on Oct. 1st, being the closest full moon to the equinox. And get this, I make a figure 8 after every cast, and when I did one the other day and saw nothing, I started pulling the lure up to make my next cast. When my lure was a foot or two out of the water and moving into the back cast, a muskie cleared the surface and ate it. I am not sure who was shocked more - the fish or me. I mean, I was standing in the bow of the @kingfisherboats with a muskie going berserk, dangling off the end of my line. Before I could hit the free spool button and drop my rod tip, the fish shook off. Early morning Friday July 31st, MTV Israel had their third action. They occupied a turkey farm in the south of Israel. They stayed with the turkeys until the owner arrived around 6am. Shortly after his arrival, he understood the cause and gave the activists permission to take 20 turkeys! They were taken immediately to a local sanctuary for medical assistance. We hope the turkeys will now be able to live a very long and happy life. This was a historical moment for MTV and for the MTV Israel chapter. May the liberation of the turkeys lead to more awareness and the eventual liberation of all animals in these utterly terrible and inhumane conditions. My favorite day in the Azores we spent fishing with @sailtours.azores and had a blast just SLAYING the triggerfish. We pulled in a bunch of triggers and grouper, then we took the fish to the Captain’s Table where we met Essen, the restaurant owner and chef. Na manhã desta sexta-feira, 18, a Polícia Militar Ambiental - PMA de Laguna, com apoio de policiais do 1º Batalhão de Polícia Militar Ambiental, sediado na Capital, realizou fiscalização no complexo Lagunar Sul de Santa Catarina para combater a pesca ilegal do camarão em período de defeso. Ao todo foram empregados 20 policiais, 05 viaturas e 06 embarcações, na continuação da Operação Defeso do Camarão 2020, sendo que no dia de hoje resultou na apreensão de 142 redes, tipo aviãozinho, nas Lagoas de Imaruí e Mirim. De acordo com a Instrução Normativa n. 21 de 2009, o período de defeso no Complexo Lagunar se estenderá até o dia 15 de novembro, sendo que os petrechos destinados a captura do camarão rosa devem ser retirados dos pontos de pesca durante este período. Aqueles que descumprem estas determinações estão sujeitos a multas administrativas e penas restritivas de liberdade, previstas respectivamente no Decreto n. 6514/08 e na Lei n. 9605/98. This causes hens obvious pain and discomfort but meat sellers do this regardless, simply because it is convenient and cheap for them. This is an illegal practice and can be reported to the police. If you see this happening, do not hesitate to call the police and file an FIR. In case of IPC violations, these animals could be rescued. ******************************* Transporting animals in any manner that causes discomfort, pain or suffering is a punishable offence. This violates: -Section 11 (1) (A) and (D) of prevention of cruelty to animals, and (Transportation of animals) rules, 2001, chapter VII -Section 428 and 429 of Indian panel code is applicable If any bird has serious injury or fracture or is found dead, Section 11(1) (A) and (D) of PCA 1960: (a) beats, kicks, over-rides, over-drives, over-loads, tortures or otherwise treats any animal so as to subject it to unnecessary pain or suffering or causes or, being the owner permits, any animals to be so treated; or (d) conveys or carries, whether in or upon any vehicle or not, any animal in such a manner or position as to subject it to unnecessary pain or suffering; or Transport of (Amendment) Animals Rules, 2001 Chapter VIII which lays down, among other rules, the following requirements for transport of hens: General requirement - In transport of poultry by rail, road or air (b) poultry shall not be exposed to the sunlight, rain and direct blast of air during transport.
