🟠Disability tax update🟠⠀ ⠀ The Chancellor has announced that there will no longer be an Autumn Finance Statement, within which there had been proposals to introduce a new tax on online shopping. The proposed tax had risked amounting to a disability tax that would have disproportionately affected people with conditions like M.E. who rely on online shopping and delivery services. Action for M.E. submitted an open letter to the Chancellor last month opposing this proposed tax.⠀ ⠀ This charge could have resulted in an increase in costs for online shopping at a time when more people than ever are having to stay at home. With research undertaken by Scope highlighting that, on average, people with a disability already face extra costs of £583 a month, the tax would have represented an additional burden on these people.⠀ ⠀ We would like to thank everyone for signing our petition and ensuring your voice is heard. Kjære gode gjester, venner, naboer, samarbeidspartnere og alle andre fine folk. En epoke er over. Vi klarer ikke å holde liv i puben lenger. Fader altså, dette er ikke noe kjekt. Vi har lenge sett det gå denne veien, men å faktisk avslutte er noe dritt. TUSEN TAKK til alle dere som på et eller annet vis har vært med på å støtte oss. Vi digger dere og skulle ønske vi kunne klemme hver millimeter kjærleik ut i hundrevis av klemmer (men det får bli senere en gang). Det er med voldsomt tungt hjerte vi nå må si farvel og takk for oss. Puben vi startet med en herlig gjeng venner og venners-venner, er ikke lenger levedyktig, og vi må stenge dørene. Røverdatter holder åpent fra onsdag til lørdag denne uka, med lørdag 12. september som avslutningsdag. Dere er alle hjertelig velkommen til et siste besøk. Tusen tusen takk for alle som har vært innom, dere som har hatt selskaper og fester, dere som har spilt konsert og vært DJ hos oss, dere som har vært på quiz og bingo, spist god mat, kysset og pratet og danset (eller sittet pent i senere tid!). 🍎 Warum ein angebissener Apfel ⬇ 👨🏻💼 Der Designer Rob Janoff entwarf damals gleich zwei Logo-Prototypen, Steve Jobs hatte sich für den unvollständigen Apfel entschieden, da die andere Version viel zu sehr an eine Kirsche erinnerte 🍒 📼 So befand sich das Logo unter anderem auch auf den Booting-Kassetten des Apple II. Das Logo durfte nicht zu klein sein, weshalb es so platziert wurde, dass es sich an die Dreh-Aussparungen anpasste. Gleichzeitig entschied sich Apple damals dazu, dass Logo zusammen mit dem Firmenschriftzug auf Printprodukten zu präsentieren. An easy lazy way to generate ideas Short version: Lay down. Do nothing. For about 60-90 minutes. Listen to nothing. Watch nothing. Receive no external stimulus. Hide your phone in another room. Don’t go anywhere. Just be with yourself with no distractions. Scribble down your incoming ideas. A longer version. Being with yourself with no content streaming at you, no blabber to listen to, no tasks to accomplish, no chores or talking to do is a weird experience. I mean when have you last done NOTHING, listened to NOTHING, watched NOTHING, said NOTHING for more than a few minutes? As you lay there, random thoughts start streaming in and, at first, it’s all daily murmurs about some logistics, to-dos, the noise. You keep laying. Gradually, in the midst of the noise, a thought may surprise you. It’s not your every day thought, your usual ponderings. It’s different. It’s about doing something in a new way, or an unexpected answer to a question long asked and left alone, or a radically new idea that you never knew you needed. As you keep laying there and light bulbs keep turning on, the challenge is to remember them and quickly jot them down on a piece of paper. Yesterday I was in an acupuncture session, my forced do-nothing environment. I lay there immobile in a dark room, covered in needles. Often I fall asleep, but this time I stayed awake and couldn’t believe the number of ideas that came to me. Other people experience similar surges in creativity when they simply walk - with no phone, no podcasts, no content, just walking for an hour or two with nothing happening but putting one foot in front of another. Остановимся на Биржевой площади, это раньше, а сейчас Vlamingstraat. Видим белое здание, бывшее представительство Флоренции, примерно с 1420 года. Завернем за угол и видим мемориальную доску. На ней - строчки на латинском языке. Что-то понимаю, учила латинский в университете …. E. BRVGGIA... Перевожу... Вот мы идем вдоль каменного края; А над ручьем обильный пар встает, От пламени плотину избавляя. Как у фламандцев выстроен оплот Меж Бруджей и Гвидзантом, чтоб заранее Предотвратить напор могучих вод, И как вдоль Бренты строят падуане, Чтоб замок и посад был защищен, Пока не дышит зной на Кьярентане. Выше на русском, далее - на итальянском, писал Данте поэму по-итальянски, для широкого круга людей, так как латинский не всем был доступен. Amsterdam 4:16:02 . . Here’s to those who got me across the finish line (@cfelixk @j.fitch8 @mikefitch1 @nancywhite3) and those that prepared me for it (@barrysuk @ldnbrunchclub @milesvonbeacons) 🏅🏃🏼♀️🎉 . . While my training for Amsterdam was not as thorough as I intended (life got in the way and my longest run was only 17mi) and school took up some crucial time, I decided to continue with my race goals and aimed to just run it for fun. I surprised myself with a good starting pace (sub 2 half) but my second half was a bit downhill. There are so many obstacles that even training can’t prevent - that 30km mark is a killer and apparently my Apple Watch will only time my pace for 3hrs! 😬 But looking back at Sunday, it was only a success. I was proud of my finish time (despite it being short of my sub 4 goal) and was so lucky to have the worlds best pit crew (who covered my legs in icy hot at the halfway mark!) Dänische Möbelhäuser wie Bo Concept und Dänisches Bettenlager, dänische Krimis, Nordseeurlaub und das entspannte Lebensgefühl „Hygge“: Dänemark ist für vieles bekannt. Dass dänische Aktien in diesem Jahr die Top-Performer an den internationalen Börsen sind, dürfte indes viele Anleger überraschen. Was ist passiert? Der Leitindex OMX Copenhagen hat in diesem Jahr schon gut 17,5 Prozent zugelegt. Seit Mitte Juni ist der Index auf Rekordkurs, in der vergangenen Woche markierte er mit 1347 Punkten ein neues Allzeithoch. Mit seiner Entwicklung schlägt er alle anderen Börsen um Längen. Wieso entwickelt sich die dänische Börse so gut? Dänemark ist vergleichsweise gut durch die Krise gekommen. Das Land hat früh mit einem rigorosen, kurzen Lockdown auf die Pandemie reagiert und befindet sich jetzt schon in der vierten Phase der kontrollierten Wiedereröffnung. Das dänische Bruttoinlandsprodukt sank im zweiten Quartal nur um 6,9 Prozent und damit weniger als in Deutschland mit minus 9,7 Prozent. Wie die Regierungen weltweit hat auch die dänische Hilfspakete geschnürt und für das kommende Jahr einen sogenannten Corona-Kriegsfonds für umgerechnet 1,24 Milliarden Euro in Aussicht gestellt. Zugutekommen soll er vor allem dem Gesundheitswesen und der Wirtschaft. In der Wirtschaft sollen vor allem umweltfreundliche Investitionen gefördert werden. Liegt der Trend nur an der wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung? Nein, viel entscheidender ist, dass der Leitindex OMX Copenhagen von Unternehmen aus den Bereichen Pharma- und Biotechnologie dominiert wird, die in Corona-Zeiten von einer Sonderkonjunktur profitieren. Dazu gehören der weltgrößte Insulinhersteller Novo Nordisk, die Medizintechnikhersteller Ambu und Coloplast sowie die Biotechnologiekonzerne Genmab, CHR Hanssen und Novozymes. Mensen vroegen zich destijds af of ik vanuit Ruinen wel kon aarden in een flat in de Koedijkslanden. Vanaf het eerste moment dat ik in Meppel woon, nu alweer 31 jaar, voel ik mij er thuis. Inmiddels woon ik al 28 jaar in de wijk Oosterboer. In een gemoedelijke straat waar afgelopen zomer zelfs een bingo op afstand werd georganiseerd. Ik word altijd blij als ik Meppel weer op de borden zie staan. Wat maakt Meppel dan zo speciaal? Dat is voor mij de gemoedelijkheid van een dorp. Dat je voor een enkele boodschap een uur onderweg kunt zijn omdat je zoveel bekenden tegenkomt. Daarnaast heeft Meppel alles wat ik in een stad qua voorzieningen zoek. Het is een mooie compacte stad en heeft een divers aanbod van horeca en gezellige pleinen. Daarnaast bevindt Meppel zich in een mooie waterrijke en bosrijke omgeving. Voor elk wat wils. Deze foto is gemaakt bij de jachthaven. De weidsheid van het water, ik houd ervan. Sinds 4 januari 2006 ben ik zelfstandig ondernemer in Meppel. Ik verricht acquisitie voor andere bedrijven en ik weet dus uit eigen ervaring hoe ondernemend Meppel is. Alhoewel het ondernemerschap momenteel wel erg op de proef wordt gesteld. Maar Meppel zou Meppel niet zijn als er geen mooie initiatieven van de grond komen. Ondernemers die elkaar opzoeken om samen de schouders eronder te zetten in corona tijd. Denken in kansen en mogelijkheden dat is wat mij betreft Meppel ten voeten uit. Ik ben met West Brinck Acquisitie lid van BC Meppel. Een mooie business club waar ik mij thuis voel. Dieses #Verkehrszeichen haben Sie womöglich noch nie zuvor gesehen. Es steht in der Rudolf-Breitscheid-Straße am S-Bahnhof #Babelsberg an der Kurve, die zum #Thalia-Kino führt. Es soll diese für #Radfahrer gefährliche Stelle entschärfen. Denn dort endet der Radweg endet und die Radfahrer müssen plötzlich auf die Tramgleise und die Fahrbahn der Autos schwenken. Autofahrer dürfen hier ab sofort keine Fahrräder, Motorräder oder E-Roller überholen. Das Verkehrszeichen wurde im Frühjahr 2020 bundesweit neu eingeführt.
