With its abundant blue flowers, the Californian Lilac is a wonderful evergreen shrub for a sheltered, sunny position. Officially known as Ceanothus, they are native to North America, especially the state of California, where its said that the native varieties can set seed that can lay dormant for a hundred years, awaiting a forest fire to trigger germination. The species is quite diverse in its habit, with varieties that lend themselves for different uses within the garden. For upright specimens we recommend Concha, Puget Blue and Skylark whilst Trewithen Blue is also good for hedging. For groundcover, try Yankee Point or Repens. For smaller gardens Blue Mound makes a perfect addition. For something unusual, a couple of good variegated cultivars exist. Lemon and Lime has a pale yellow leaf with a dark green splash whilst Silver Surprise is a dark green leaf fringed in cream. Flowering from late spring into early summer, they are mostly recognised for their abundance of blue flowers, but white and pink varieties also exist. Tutorial Berkebun : Menanam Microgreen di Rumah🌱 Teman Taman kita belajar menanam microgreen selagi #DiRumahAja bersama Kak Fitri (@kebun.nyempil), yuk! Eh udah pada tau belum microgreen itu apa? Microgreen adalah tanaman sayuran yang ukurannya mungil, tahapan setelah kecambah dan dapat dikonsumsi dari batang hingga daun. Disebutkan, benih yang dipanen muda itu banyak nutrisinya sehingga bagus untuk kesehatan, lho! 🧑🏻🌾Bahan: -Tray atau wadah -Benih microgreen -Media tanam berupa cocopeat 🧑🏻🌾Caranya: 1. Siapkan benih yang akan ditanam dan rendam didalam air untuk mempercepat tumbuhnya sprout. Untuk benih besar dan keras seperti sunflower, wheatgrass, kangkung, kacang-kacangan sebaiknya direndam antara 6-12 jam 2. Tiriskan benih lalu taburkan benih secara merata diatas media tanam (cocopeat yang telah dicuci bersih) dan pastikan benih tidak saling bertumpuk. Jika benih kecil maka tak perlu ditutup media diatasnya, sementara untuk benih besar perlu ditutup media tanam sekitar 0.5 - 1 cm 3. Siram setiap pagi dan sore dengan sprayer dan pastikan air merata hingga ke seluruh media tanam 4. Letakkan di area yang tidak terkena matahari secara langsung (di teras atau di dekat jendela), yang penting ruangan terang dan sirkulasi udara lancar 5. Panen microgreen saat usia 6 hari sampai maksimal 14 hari tergantung jenis tanamannya 6.
