There was an announcement in Florida by John Bolton saying that the Trump Administration plans to restrict non-family travel to Cuba. This has worried a lot of travelers to Cuba, but literally nothing has changed in regards to Cuba travel. Nothing has been put in writing, and saying that they are going to be restricting Cuba travel could entail anything. So there is no need to worry about this for now. In the event that they do decide to make some drastic change and you already made travel plans before that, you would very likely be grandfathered in which is what happened the last time this administration made a change to Cuba travel (which was also minor even though it sounded drastic when first announced). The articles that best explain the announcement and changes to lawsuits to Cuba (not related to travel) are on Conde Naste Traveler and NY Times. And they basically both agree. Actually, that was my first time SOLO TRAVELING and whew 😅 what a start! Everything that could happen to a first time international traveler, happened! I was running through the airports like a crazy person, I missed my connecting flight between the states and Europe, ‘customs’ WHAT???, AND, I had NO LUGGAGE for the first 3-4 days overseas. • I promise, I stayed up ALL NIGHT leading up to this trip reading, collecting important notes, getting familiar with the language, downloading real time maps, arranging everything so that it could run smoothly whenever and wherever, but it just didn’t —— and sometimes, IT WONT. But that doesn’t have to stop you. Everything I had during those days I had to buy ON SPOT at the train station I arrived at. TTG!! One of the best parts of independent travel is having the time to figure out situations like this at the expense and time of no one else but YOU. ✨ In the moment it may feel a little frightening but these are learning moments. Er zijn online veel verschillende meningen te vinden over wat er in een pre-workout en post-workout maaltijd zou moeten zitten. Maar wat is praktisch en waar? Pre-workout meal. Voor het trainen wil je een maaltijd die licht verteerbaar is, waardoor je geen last van het eten krijgt tijdens je training. Het is dus niet aan te raden om hoge gehaltes aan vet of groenten binnen te krijgen, vanwege het feit dat dit zwaar op je maag-darm kanaal kan vallen. Er wordt vaak gezegd dat je ‘veel koolhydraten’ moet eten voor een krachttraining, maar in werkelijkheid is dit niet het geval. Een krachttraining verbruikt namelijk helemaal niet veel ‘glycogeen’ (opgeslagen glucose) uit je spieren. Als je over het algemeen gedurende de dag al wat koolhydraten binnenkrijgt, zul je geen tekort aan energie ervaren gedurende je training. Een intra-workout supplement is daarom helemaal overbodig (dit geldt niet voor duursport). Wel kan het zijn dat koolhydraten pre-workout binnenkrijgen een placebo effect veroorzaken van extra energie, wat een positief effect op krachttraining kan realiseren. Het is dus niet verkeerd om wat koolhydraten pre-workout binnen te krijgen. Je wilt dat je pre-workout maaltijd minimaal 0.3gram per kg lichaamsgewicht aan eiwit bevat, om je lichaam te beschermen tegen spierafbraak tijdens je training. Een voorbeeld van een goede pre-workout maaltijd voor een krachttraining (makkelijk en laag in calorieën): ▪️Rijstwafel x 4 ▪Kipfilet x 100gram ▪Appel x 1 ▪️2 softgels Omega-3 Dus, altijd zorgen voor een volledig macronutrient profiel (koolhydraten, eiwitten & vetten).
