This Cupilli belongs to the Mexica Tlahtoani Moctezuma, brother of Tlahtoani Atzakatl. Its made out of gold, 400 Quetzal tail feathers, Shiny Cowbird tail feathers, Roseate Spoonbill wing feathers & Lovely Cotinga feathers. This Cupilli now sits in the Museum of Ethnology, in Vienna Austria. Along with other pre-colombian objects that were also stolen by the Europeans. After Moctezuma was hold hostage, torture and later murdered by Cortes and his men. Moctezumas Cupilli was stolen and sent to King Charles V in Spain. Mexico has been in dispute with Austria on getting Moctezuma Cupilli back to Mexico where it originally belongs. It is said the reason why Austria hasnt return the Cupilli back to Mexico is because its too fragile to move around and are afraid that it would get damage. inspiration: Last Monday, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Barcelona’s famous opera house hosted a string quartet that played Puccini to 2,292 houseplants. It has been proven by science that plants grow faster with music playing near them but this was a brave vision by conceptual artist Eugenio Ampudia who wanted to speak of nature filling in the void that humans have left in quarantine. Recently I was reminded yet again why I started this journey. A few months ago I started to believe that I wasn’t really helping or inspiring others. I thought that I was mostly getting remarks for my body and that’s not why I started this journey though. It wasn’t for attention or remarks - it was for empowering people to live their lives and to pursue their dreams. So that’s exactly what I’ve been doing these last few months - living and pursuing some of my wildest dreams, but just not on the internet. I needed to feel some sense of purpose and I found that while getting my hair and makeup done during @Kcfashionweek a few weeks ago. A new model friend told me that her Mom had sent my recent post about confidence and told her to read it. She was then later sitting next to me, as we were getting ready to walk the runway together, and telling me how inspiring I was to her and to her Mom. It was in that moment that I realized my purpose. It had been there all along - to inspire others through telling my story. I know my truth is exactly what others need to hear because I sometimes need to hear it too. So my hope is this message reaches someone who needs to hear this today - YOU are inspiring and your truth is exactly what others need to hear. 🎉 . . Моя Королева на глазах стала превращаться в огромную медведицу ! 😳 Как при любом сильном отравлении, моя героиня должна была неистово стонать, выть , рыдать, по- звериному страшно рычать и даже рыгать ! Я очень переживала, что у меня не получится передать весь оркестр этих безумных звуков . 😸 Но, как говорится, « мастерство , не пропьёшь!» 😁 Всё получилось так хорошо, что мой голос никто даже не узнавал !! 🐻. This is how unique projects with a limited number of garments come to life, created by innovative technologies with unreleased fabric and treatments. MANUAL FLOCKING ON NYLON METAL GRID-OVD The garment in Nylon Metal, iconic iridescent STONE ISLAND fabric undergoes a cutting-edge artisanal flocking procedure, executed by highly specialized personnel: the garment is sprayed with an adhesive substance and then exposed to the cotton flock. The creation of an electromagnetic field straightens the fibrils, which are attracted by the garment due to the uniqueness of this technique. The flocked garment is then dyed with double recipe, nylon and cotton, providing highly contrasting colors for a unique and unrepeatable effect, different on each garment. The flock will wear naturally with use, especially on rubbing points.
