After 2.5 years later our trio has finally landed in San Francisco for a chance to find loving forever homes they have waited for so long. No one showed any interest in adopting these babies in Turkey. Paytak, Testere and ZipZip originally pulled from a shelter when they were puppies. They needed life saving treatments. Their original rescuer sent them to Istanbul for treatment and boarding in the hope they would find homes, but never did. They reached out to us to help find them homes and I reached out to my contacts in the USA who have agreed to take them in to find the homes they so deserve on our behalf. It was a military style organization getting them ready for travels. It always involves an army of international helpers to do this. So here is the list of people I am so grateful for and have been part of their journey. 💜The lady who pulled them out of the horrible shelter 2.5 years ago. She knows who she is. 💜Esra and Salih for looking after them since they were puppies and preparing them for travels 💜Katie @angelsforanimalsfoundation for putting me in touch with contacts in the USA 💜Sharon @must.love.pups.co for finding me the rescue groups to take the dogs in. She has also driven all the way from Colorado to pick them at the SFO airport. And not to forget all the hassle of getting the US entry permit 💜Jessica @rags2rescued for coming to my rescue when I got stuck with the US entry permit forms 💜Ashley @thepittiprojectpnw and @rescueunleashed agreeing to take the dogs and find suitable forever homes 💜Meral for doing her magic preparing all the adoption and customs paperwork and airport transfers 💜Emre for being our flight volunteer 💜To everyone who has generously donated towards their flight. We raised $960 in 5 days which was fantastic We couldn’t have saved these dogs without the help of everyone who went the extra mile and those who donated. So a big THANK YOU to all. 🥳 6 years ago I signed the adoption papers for this boy and this was their intake photo of him! 🐾 Happy Adoptaversary to the Charlie boy!!! 🐾🥳 Something that has ways bothered me is I have NO idea what his actual birthday is. Any experts that can help? 🐾Facts🐾 - The shelter said he was 6 month ( he looked older to me) - He was 45 ish lbs - now hes fill grown around 60. - Vet said his adult teeth were in so he has to be close to a year - He already had 4 homes and was returned 4 times to the shelter. So I feel like after 4 homes he has to be a bit older - Dally people he was in his nutty before 1 year old phase I think when I got him 🤦 my best guess is that he was around 10 months old? Maybe a full year. - Within a few months of getting him he bulked up a bit ( unsure if that was proper nutrition and exercise or age). - He was microchipped before entering the shelter at a creepy pet store in the Bronx so we also assume he is a puppy mill dog and from the shelter staff notes he was neglected/abused when he got in. So that maybe why he was smaller🤷 To this day people ask how old he is and Im like ummm idk really 6-7 ish 🤷 is it weird my dog doesnt have an actual birthday lol? He has a range !
